What a total waste of time. Honestly, I regret sitting through this one. 👎
Lawrence didn't deserve that Best Actress nomination.

Killer plot. 🙏
The costumes are stunning. 👍
Vikander absolutely nailed the role. 🙏
Honestly, this movie is underrated; it deserves a much higher rating on IMDb.
That final scene with the joke is perfection. 🙏

Beautiful movie—really classy and hits you right in the feels. It’s this perfect tug-of-war between nostalgia and reality. 🙂
Got that Vintage 50 vibe and an American accent. 😍
The plot is solid, and watching Eilis grow into a woman was great. Saoirse Ronan absolutely killed it. 👍
Honestly, I liked this better than Spotlight or Room.

I’ve just been drifting through every single day

If you could actually hit a giant reset button on your life and suddenly have total control over every hour of your day (like, purely on your own terms)
what would that even look like for you?
It's a new year, man—the perfect time to just flip the script and start fresh.
Never really gave it much thought, but honestly, having every single day planned out like that sounds pretty repetitive.

Starting a thread here because I’m curious—can you actually pop an eye capillary just from being pissed off or stressed out?

Like, Hillary is a powerhouse when it comes to heavy, emotional roles, which is basically her bread and butter. Take P. S. I love you, for example; she played a really intense, emotional character there too. 🙂
Yeah, Hillary is great. She was also amazing in Boys Don't Cry (1999). I don't see a dedicated thread for Boys Don't Cry here, which is a bummer. You seen it? If not, definitely check it out.
As for P. S. I love you, I watched it a few years back, but didn't finish it. Honestly, it wasn't my favorite, but maybe that’s because I was watching it with someone who kept complaining about how boring it was the whole time. That probably ruined the vibe. 🤷

Yeah, it was a total tearjerker. I was sobbing my eyes out by the end,
it really hit me right in the feels.
I'm not quite sure what you mean by "typical,"
so if you could walk me through that, I'd appreciate it.

Solid drama. It actually reminded me a bit of The Intouchables (2011). Definitely worth a watch.

That dream that just won't end
in Psychology ·
Last time this happened, I had this dream where I was standing right in front of a door, reaching for the handle, totally dying to see
what was on the other side, and then—bam—I’m wide awake.
Honestly, though? These random midnight jolts that kick me out of sleep are way more annoying than those cliffhanger dreams.
