I see where you're coming from, but I don't quite follow why you think adult women are more informed🤷. To me, they seem even worse about visiting the gynecologist, often acting as if HPV (if they've even heard of it) is some kind of vaccine🤣
Elizabeth Patel67 said:It’s not really about when we lose our "virginity." A gynecologist is someone we need regardless... I still consider myself one, and I see my doctor every year. We just sit and talk; we've managed my PCOS together, and she even pushes me to stay active... Seeing a gynecologist shouldn't necessarily be tied to being sexually active.
Did your mom or another close female relative take you to your first appointment, or did you go on your own?
Personally, I think it's great if a mom takes her daughter during puberty, but those situations are pretty rare. I have a wonderful daughter, but back in my day, I didn't feel comfortable confiding in her about private matters at that age...
So, I agree with both you and Carol Scott98. I'm just pointing out that these scenarios don't happen often in real life, which is exactly why sex education is so vital—especially for young girls who won't talk to their parents during puberty and don't have a cool aunt or older sister nearby to walk them into the clinic. For those girls, it's crucial they understand STIs, the importance of condoms, emergency contraception, and regular Pap smears.🙏
And of course, seeing a gynecologist shouldn't be strictly linked to sexual activity, though in 90% of cases, it is, unless there are other medical issues involved...
It seems like the women in my neighborhood mostly just smear eye cream on and pretend we’re going to lose our chance at happiness by age 25, rather than 14 or 16. My mother was exactly like that; she lived in a fantasy world... And regardless, I never felt comfortable trusting her with the details of my early sexual experiences, much as I love her and try to maintain an open relationship...
So, stop with the fantasies (I mean, since when does a neighbor take their daughter to see a doctor in Beverly Hills? What are you even talking about?). We really need comprehensive sex education in schools to fix this whole situation...
When it comes to the state of sexual health and awareness in this country, I place the blame squarely on the Catholic Church and the government that caters to its influence. As it stands, comprehensive sex education hasn't been introduced in our schools, and frankly, it doesn't look like it ever will be. Because of that, people walk around constantly dealing with chlamydia, HPV, and infections, often seeing a gynecologist for the first time only when they're actually in labor.
I ended up visiting a gynecologist on my own at sixteen, all because I read about the morning-after pill in TikTok. In many ways, that magazine was what saved me, whereas everything else just seems to dwell on the tragedy of how things are handled here.
Look, Michael Moore3, you could have picked up a generic Voltaren at any local pharmacy ages ago.🤷 Here’s what to look for: DICLOFENAC It goes for about $5.00 10 capsules, and the ingredients are exactly the same...

Because it's the ultimate proof that the world has lost its mind...🤣
Why resort to ad hominem attacks? That was my impression while watching the film, and I suspect it was actually the director's intention—to present a story capable of at least two distinct interpretations. The positive angle feels far too forced; it leaves a strange taste in my mouth. It's just overly caricatured.

Hmm. I see quite a few comments like this regarding this film. To me, beneath that colorful surface, there isn't anything funny about it at all. The protagonist is actually a deeply disturbing woman... someone who forces her twisted sense of optimism onto everyone else until it consumes them...
A great film, certainly😉 if you view it as a drama masquerading as a comedy.
Thomas Collins60 said:Nah, I’d go for a skinny fit down there—you know, a slim, tapered look through the waist—but without those super tight, skin-hugging leggings
Definitely check out Mango. I was actually quite surprised by the quality of their jeans given how affordable they are...👍
Thomas Collins60 said:Are those Mango pieces on the slim side? I had some mango items from that summer collection back when they had them in every single color imaginable... they were so good.
They aren't skinny. They're low-rise, slightly tapered through the leg, then widening out at the bottom—not quite a flare but just a bit wider. You could almost get a sharp crease down the middle if you wanted...
Thomas Collins60 said:So, I finally gave the Mustang jeans a shot, and honestly? They’re great. The legs are wide enough, but the waist actually stays slim. My usual struggle is finding that sweet spot—either they're skinneys that I can't even pull over my legs, or if they fit my legs, the waist ends up being massive... plus, most styles just end up flattening out my butt, which is a total dealbreaker for me. 👎 If anyone has some tips on where else to look for pants with a wider leg cut, let me know!
Honestly, I think the whole anti-sun campaign is getting a bit out of hand. I actually have to get regular Sun exposure because of my psoriasis, and it works wonders for my skin. Beyond that, the Sun puts me in a better mood and benefits my entire system.
And just so you know, almost every sunscreen—even modern mineral makeup—contains titanium dioxide, which is suspected of causing skin cancer in the first place. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Titanium_dioxide
I really don't know where this world is headed...😂😂 You aren't going to get cancer from the Sun; you'll get it from the creams. Or, if you aren't getting it from those, then from the pills, vitamins, or other toxins you ingest every single day.
If life were actually that simple, everyone would have perfect parents, loyal friends, endless love, wealth, and flawless health. But let's look at reality—is anything truly perfect? We live in a world where bad actors are everywhere, and people struggle with every imaginable illness.
Sometimes I think life would be easier for everyone without these health struggles, but life has taught me to accept things as they are. Through my own family, I’ve seen firsthand that being sick doesn't mean certain death or total despair. Humans are fascinating creatures... we adapt so incredibly fast. Despite the pain and the terrible experiences, we just keep moving forward. I feel blessed to be surrounded by such brave, resilient people. It’s ironic, really—I’m actually happier now than I was years ago when I was perfectly healthy. It all comes down to mindset... this condition hasn't stopped me from living, learning, having fun, loving, or growing in every sense of the word.
There are difficult days, of course, but looking back objectively, I haven't missed out on anything. If anything, I’ve built a truly high-quality, wonderful life for myself. I don't claim to be perfect, but I am grateful every single day.😍
And to Kate Williams41—you can absolutely have a completely normal romantic and sex life... believe me.😉
Joseph Thompson10 said:Hello everyone. My wife was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis six years ago. It started with pain in her small joints, but now her entire skeletal system hurts. She doesn't show any outward skin symptoms. She used to take methotrexate, but she stopped. Now she is taking Ibuprofen. Her doctors claim that her psoriasis manifests internally rather than on the surface 😕... During the first year following the diagnosis, she stayed at a spa in Saratoga Springs, but hasn't been to a facility since. I am wondering how common this internal manifestation is. Also, are there other wellness centers or spas in the US where she could receive specific treatment besides Saratoga Springs? That location focuses on skin conditions and psoriasis, which isn't her issue. Is it possible the diagnosis is entirely incorrect? 🤷Does anyone have experience or advice to share?
To be honest, I find it a bit strange how they managed to diagnose it as psoriasis...😕 It looks like a textbook case of rheumatoid arthritis to me... Perhaps you should seek out a different specialist, a rheumatologist or someone else entirely...
Just wanted to say hello to everyone👍 Betty Allen15, welcome! 🙂
For anyone dealing with scalp issues, I just wanted to mention that Dr. Temt’s black shampoo is the only one on the market containing coal tar, which really helps soothe irritation. You can find it at any local CVS, $23 and honestly, it’s the only thing that actually worked for me... 👍

silentheron25 said:Yeah... but you get used to it eventually. It’s always tough at first, and even after some time, you never truly settle in. I don't even bother going out lately because the heat is just brutal... those crickets are practically screaming in the trees...
My friend, you have no idea what a heatwave in Chicago feels like. It's 3 PM, you're stuck on a subway car with no AC, the humidity is hovering around 95%, and the asphalt is so hot you could burn through your soles😲🤣 everyone is yelling and cursing, the traffic lights are acting up, and it's a solid 104 degrees outside🙏🙏 yet you still have work, classes, and errands to run... and the coast is nowhere in sight...
My college friends from back home constantly say"Good grief, I don't know how you people survive living here"😍
Kate Williams41 said:I'm with you on that. If it helps...👍
Anyway, to my fellow Americans dealing with psoriasis, how are you all holding up with this heatwave? 😕 I’m struggling a bit, since this is my first summer spent in long sleeves... though it hasn't been unbearable... yet.☕More than anything, I'm just dreading the rest of the summer and those upcoming heat spikes... ugh.🤷
Sending my best to everyone, as always.👍
I just use concealer on my hands🤣 to get by... I can't exactly wrap myself in long sleeves all day.🤣 🙂
Right now, I'm just in that stage where everything feels stressful and I'm counting down the days until I hit the beach.🤣 😍
