Thirteenth Warrior. Great vibes! .. I watched Black Death. I suppose the whole point was just to show what the church used to be like... and that's about it. I expected more. Regardless, the pacing is tighter than Centurion. The casting feels off. Besides Boromir, you've got some kid playing the lead priest... and then there's just Bora Copy/Paste from LOTRA 😁
I have a different issue... I hit the sack around 2 a.m. and wake up at 9. I head out for morning coffee... come back, go straight to the computer, spend 3 or 4 hours there, or maybe go for a bike ride... then some TV.......and so on. It’s the same from 8 p.m., when I finally head out for evening coffee...
I really should be prepping for college, but something is holding me back. What is it?! God, just laziness. Anyway, I'll do anything just to avoid picking up my textbooks...
Actually, I got a bit mixed up there... what I meant was that I think I'm tasting limescale in my water. My apologies.
@Bradley Williams5 - Is there actually any noticeable difference when using a filter versus not? If so, what kind? - I'm not sure. The tap water just tastes... stale. Maybe it's because I live in a single-family house where the water doesn't get cycled through the pipes as constantly as it would in an apartment complex? In a few different buildings I've stayed in, the water always tasted crisp and fresh.
Drinking beer or any alcohol—it’ll make you gain weight, just be careful not to get hooked.
.. You’re probably young and think that won't stop girls from looking your way. You're mistaken. As you age, you'll fill out more. I guess I put on 20 pounds in five years without even trying.
.. Maybe avoid that kind of bodybuilding. I hope you aren't planning to end up looking like those chickens in industrial factory farms.
I ran some tests on my drinking water and it seems there's a slightly higher chlorine level than expected. I notice a bit of a gritty texture on my tongue when I drink it. Everywhere else I go, the water tastes fine and my tongue feels normal.
..
I guess I'm wondering if this water is actually harmful to my health?

Then, when you're coming back down to earth, you dream about falling—something that actually happens quite a bit right as you're drifting off. During that middle ground, you might find yourself fully aware of everything around you while your physical body feels completely paralyzed—it’s because the astral body hasn't fully reconnected yet. Think of the physical body as "dead" matter without that link; in fact, that break in connection between the two is basically what we call death.
These things are perfectly natural, so there's really no reason to freak out or think something is wrong with you medically—though, I'll admit, it can definitely feel a bit unsettling at times.
PS Flying and falling can also carry symbolic weight in your dreams, but honestly, you'll have to figure out what that means for yourself—everyone's interpretation is different.
You basically stole my exact words. I'm with you on this.🙂
The only way out of a situation like this is finding a partner you can truly pour your heart into, someone who becomes your entire world. I suppose I’d feel the same about wanting a fresh start. My first move would be packing up and moving somewhere in the States where nobody knows my name, just to reinvent myself. It seems I'm just not the type of person who naturally meshes with Americans.
Judging by your username, you seem like a pretty resilient person. As for your legs... I don't really see why it's an issue if you have a boyfriend. Given the circumstances you're dealing with—living around seniors and stuff like that—having a partner is probably your biggest asset. You should hold onto him and just enjoy being together. I say this from experience: when everything else in life fails you, the best thing you can do is find someone you love that you can actually turn to whenever you need to. So, I don't see why you're stressing over your legs. Besides, if it really bothers you, maybe just go for a run every day and you'll end up with great legs 🙂 good luck, Mish! 😘

There have been plenty of beautiful, positive, and encouraging moments, but also a fair amount of ugliness. Let's start with the good stuff: I truly appreciate seeing so many people here who genuinely want to help others—whether it's through advice, sharing knowledge, or offering their own life experiences. In my opinion, it’s people like that who make life worth living. Even when you lose faith in humanity, or when bitterness starts to take hold and you feel like there's no goodness left in the world, you get those pleasant surprises that pull you back.
Now for the ugly side:
I honestly don't get how some members treat everyone else here. There's this pervasive negativity and a sense of snobbery—this artificial hierarchy being established between regular users, moderators, and admins. To be perfectly honest, I don't see a difference anywhere; we are all just people, and the only thing that should separate us is our character, nothing else. People constantly jump at the chance to mock, ridicule, or belittle someone else (and just to be clear, I'm not acting as anyone's defense attorney here). Before the moderators here start lecturing me about how sometimes one has to be blunt with members, let me just say: there is absolutely no need for that kind of explanation. I understand what it means to be an admin or a moderator—I know how much work goes into deleting posts and cleaning up after users. I get it. But being a moderator is a volunteer role, and in many ways, they should be setting the standard for the rest of the community. They should show us how things are done and, above all, ensure that members aren't tearing each other apart.
I'll take this opportunity to quote one of the mods; her words really gave me pause:
"Do you know the two greatest sins one can commit in society and conversation? Being boring and having no sense of humor. I'm afraid you suffer from both."
Are people really categorized that way now? Is that truly the ultimate sin? Is it really a crime if someone isn't as highly educated as everyone else, or if they struggle to express themselves perfectly? It seems the self-proclaimed academics here find it difficult to tolerate anything less than perfect prose. Why is the spotlight always shone on these trivialities? Isn't it more important that this little corner of the internet provides a space where people generally get along? Where people find community, conversation, comfort, and friendship. Isn't that the whole point and purpose of forums like this?
I don't know anyone here yet, and I can't judge people solely based on their posts, but so far, two individuals have stood out to me. When I read their contributions, I see strong characters and genuinely good people. Those would be Daniel Ward87 and Roger Evans.
Reading this forum lately, I get the impression that only those with fancy degrees are welcome—those who can flaunt their intellect—while the rest of us mere "mortals," especially those brave enough to hold an opinion, are looked down upon.
Who gets to measure how much intelligence someone possesses? Who decides who is literate enough? Isn't it more vital that we act as human beings, that we strengthen our shared communication, build bridges between different walks of life, and foster friendships?
So, I realize this is a long post, and perhaps my grammar isn't exactly top-tier.😁 But I'm writing what is in my heart, what my soul tells me, and in those moments, grammar and spelling don't really have a place.😁 I'd love to hear your thoughts. You've all been here much longer than I have; you know the people and the general climate of this place better than I do.
