Lucan (1977) in Movies ·
Here’s the trailer.

I can't quite remember, but I think this was originally a 12-episode series that aired back in '77-'78 (link to IMDb) before they went ahead and made a 75-minute pilot version.

I watched the trailer and a few clips of the new one, which was plenty for me to form an opinion.
Whatever, you clearly see things differently.
If I remember correctly, there’s actually another remake with the same title from back in the 1970s (can't recall the exact year).

I haven't actually sat down to watch the remake, but let's be real—nothing touches the original:

CBS is showing this movie based on a true story right now about a boy raised by wolves in the wild. They found him when he was ten, and he was basically acting like a wolf—growling, moving incredibly fast, hunting at night, eating off the floor, all that stuff. It apparently took years of work just to teach him how to act like a civilized human being.

I actually studied stuff like this back in my psychology classes. People always say The Jungle Book was inspired by real events, though I can't tell if this specific film is actually covering that exact case.

That said, there are plenty of documented cases involving kids being raised by wild animals: Link
Sanitary pads vs. tampons: What are your favorites? in Women's Health ·
Angela Reyes14 said:Anions—supposedly air vitamins tucked between the layers of a pad. They claim they kill viruses, bacteria, and boost your immune system ?????????????? What a garbage ad.

I’m not even going to address the comment or the ad itself, but I am curious if anyone has actually tried Love Moon anion pads?
They're thin, have wings, and didn't leak on me overnight, but the price tag is steep:
- regular size: $15 (10 count);
- overnight: $15 (8 count);
- daily: $17 (30 count).

Would you guys pick these over, say, Tampax or Always? Which ones do you think are healthier?
Nicole Castillo9 said:I am struggling with back pain, specifically in my lumbar region. I have heard that using a Pilates ball might provide some relief. Also, does anyone know if that Cosmodiscs device actually works?

I'm wondering the same thing. I don't know anyone who has ever used a CosmoDisk, so I can't confirm if it's legit or just hype. Honestly, I've always been pretty skeptical of those flashy ads.

My partner deals with intense lower back pain from time to time. Massages help a little, but when things get really bad, he just reaches for Advil or something similar. 🤷
I keep telling him he needs to go to physical therapy, but he refuses.

Nancy Price46 said:Top-tier dentist - Dr. Trubic (near Chipotle)

Nancy Ortiz42 said:I know you're looking for a private practice, but if you want the absolute best, I'd recommend Dr. Robert Cerović. The guy is double-qualified in both medicine and dentistry, works as a maxillofacial surgeon, and practices at the hospital over in the Neighborhood area.

Thanks, everyone!

Can anyone recommend a private oral surgeon in the San Francisco area?
I'm honestly fed up with the endless waiting games and the back-and-forth arguments with different dentists over whether a tooth needs to come out or not. I just want this done ASAP.
Does anyone know someone reliable who’s actually good at extracting molars? Also, any idea what the going rate is for a procedure like that?
The Muppets (2011) in Movies ·
I've missed out on quite a few Muppet movie productions myself.
Nah, I just watched the movie recently. The Muppet Christmas Carol Back in 1992, we got what was supposedly the first Muppets movie released after Jim Henson passed away. It was directed by his son, Brian Henson.

This movie really helped me get a better handle on the characters and their personalities. My favorite part has to be those two grumpy old guys, Waldorf and Statler—their sarcasm is honestly top-tier. 🙂

I'm actually pretty stoked for the new Muppets movie! 🙂
Saw VI: Thoughts? in Movies ·
So... I watched the first (👍), second (😵), and third (🙂) installments, and after that, I just gave up on the fourth and fifth ones. But now, I’m actually kind of interested in checking out the sixth part.
My brother hasn't seen a single Paramount Pictures movie yet, but he wants to dive straight into the upcoming sixth one. I suggested he at least watches the first one so the plot of the sequel makes some actual sense to him.

I'm curious, though—since I see some people have already caught the latest release—how much are we going to miss out on by skipping those sequels before jumping into number six? How much does the plot actually rely on what happened in the previous movies?
Movies with creepy soundtracks and vibes in Movies ·
Right now, I can only think of The Exorcist: Emily Rose, Requiem for a Dream, The Spy, Zaselak, and Mysterious Signs (I still remember this one detail from that movie—how the dog's howling just suddenly stops Brrrr.... I think I saw a comment somewhere saying 'silence has never been this terrifying'). And since we're talking about M. Night Shyamalan (he's my favorite director), I have to mention Unbreakable. That music at the very end gave me chills when I watched it for the first time.
What have we learned from movies? in Movies ·
All I've managed to learn from all this is that it's all just an act—totally staged. You really shouldn't mistake a performance for real life.
Are the sequels better than the original? in Movies ·
Honestly, the backstory for Pig in the City is way more interesting than the first one.
