I mean, I honestly think we could probably fix this up if someone used a browser extension like Stylus or something similar. If there's some developer out there who knows their way around CSS or whatever, they might be able to get it looking right for us. 😬

It used to work fine for everyone because the forum would just scale to fit whatever PC or resolution you were using. Now, it feels like it's locked into one specific resolution, and the worst part is that it's stuck in that old 4:3 aspect ratio.
restlesstiger102 said:Honestly, my first thought when I saw this "broken" forum was just, "WTF, is my laptop acting up now?" Then I refreshed the page and suddenly there were all these Apple ads everywhere.
The main issue is that the forum layout is way too cramped now, and like Jason Morgan said, "it looks criminally bad." First, the space is just gone, and second, these ads are giving me a massive headache because they're huge and that blue color is just terrible...
Can we please just get the forum back to its normal look? Maybe tuck the ads away somewhere smaller.
If you guys aren't going to fix it, can someone just tell me which program to download to strip all these damn ads off this site? Because right now, it feels like this forum is turning into some cheap landing page full of pop-ups.
Now that the ads have actually loaded, I totally see what everyone is talking about. There's a difference between placing ads at the top where they belong and just cramming them into every single corner of the screen. It looks pretty awful, really. I think I'm just going to end up using Tapatalk more often since the mobile version doesn't have all this clutter—just the actual content without the nonsense.
Anyway, here’s how it looks on a 1600x900 screen:

You can actually design your own custom skins—not just for this site, but for pretty much any website you visit—using Firefox and this specific add-on:
Look, don't act like you know everything. GNR is just old junk. Honestly, just GTFO with that nonsense in a thread about one of the most fundamental metal genres. 😍
I mean, I listen to metal—mostly some Slayer and various subgenres of thrash. 😍
Here’s a quick rundown of what I’ve been checking out lately (watching and listening)
As We Fight - This Is Who We Are (It’s a 3-DVD set; the first two hours are basically a documentary about the band, then you get live footage, plus some bonus tracks) The Autumn Offering - Honestly, I’ve been tearing through their stuff. They’re a pretty solid band, I guess. Chimair - The Infection (new album). I don't even need to explain it... just a new Chimair album. It's this brutal mix of groove metal and metalcore.🙏 Closer - They're alright, I suppose. The Devil Wears Prada - They’ve been one of my favorites lately. If you’re into Underoath, you should probably grab this right away—their new album just dropped. God Forbid - Earthsblood (new album). It’s Thrash metal / Metalcore, kind of reminds me of Five Finger Death Punch. I haven't downloaded their older stuff in a while, but maybe I will soon. Hatebreed - For The Lions (new album). Just some heavy Hardcore. It’s actually an album of covers, which I thought was pretty cool. Psychostick - Sandwich (new album). A bit of Comedy Hardcore. I don't know, maybe I expected a little more from them than this.
Doing it this way lets you block ads pretty much everywhere (though maybe you might need another addon to help with the "everywhere" part), whether it's on this Forum, Facebook, or just browsing elsewhere.
You can probably set things up the same way for Opera, and likely for Chrome too.
Honestly, every single one of their tracks is a winner. They’re probably one of the few bands where I can actually listen to their entire discography without skipping anything. 😁
Everyone mentioned above: 🙂 🙏 I think there are a few others you guys missed:
Mike Shinoda (pretty heavy metalcore stuff...) Crazyfists (if you're into more clean vocals,) GWAR (the side project from the vocalist of As I Lay Dying 🙂 🙂 ) Beneath the Skyline (not really heavy) Destroy the Runner (kind of similar to AILD, just with way more clean vocals—you should probably grab their old Saints of 2006 album since the new stuff is different) Here I Come Falling (hardcore/metalcore) The Ghost Inside (they're alright) The Eyes of a Traitor (similar to the band above, maybe a bit less known but still good) Heaven Shall Burn (metalcore/deathcore) Random Conflict (metalcore/deathcore) Still Remains (even though they broke up, they were an awesome band, also lots of clean vocals) Underneath the Gun (Deathcore—I'm not really a huge fan of that genre personally, but these guys are only 17 years old 😁 ) Underoath (some pretty intense Metalcore here... ) Unearth (definitely give them a listen!) Walls of Jericho (they have a female vocalist...)
Anyway, that's basically everything I have on my computer right now. Honestly, I could probably go on forever with other bands, but I can't think of them all off the top of my head...
Maybe I shouldn't say this, but I actually stick with Windows Media Player because its library management is just so solid. Besides, I pretty much have all my music organized by album anyway.

That’s not actually true; it doesn't just happen at his concerts. If you think he's better, that's fine, but I don't, and I guess that's just how it is.
