Alex Barnes93 said:If you put Max in the same car, he’d absolutely smoke Lewis. Like, total demolition. I don't care what anyone says—if you can't see that after today's race, you're just not paying attention. As for George, it's a little early to tell, but honestly? He'd probably pull off the same results. But Leclerc? Nah, man. He’s way too busy making reckless moves and playing bumper cars with everyone else on the track for the last two seasons.

And it’s almost like Max is somehow superior 🤣

He isn't exactly playing it safe just because he's realized that no matter how wild he drives, he can't outrun a Mercedes. If he actually caught a break to go for it, I suspect he’d still be charging headfirst into a wall. I don't think he's learned his lesson at all, 👍
I can't quite put my finger on it, but I’ve always found Sergio Perez to be a bit off-putting, maybe just because of that restless way he fidgets whenever he talks, so I guess I'm just incredibly relieved that we finally don't have to deal with that guy anymore👍
stormytiger4 said:Honestly, it’s time for Lewis Hamilton to just call it quits and head into retirement. As for Valtteri Bottas, he should probably jump ship to some random backmarker team in the States. Then, come next season, we can finally see Sergio Perez and George Russell in the Mercedes-AMG seats. Or, if we want to get really wild with it, put Bottas back in there, swap Russell for him, and stick Perez in instead of Alexander Albon.

I honestly don't think there is any chance Lewis Hamilton will ever leave until he manages to grab that 8th championship title for himself.😁
mellowtiger83 said:Max wins today. Bottas isn't even capable of a win anymore; maybe Russell will take it. Bottas has mentally checked out this year. He simply can't handle the pressure.

And it’s just not true that anyone could do what Russell is doing. Not a chance. He stepped into a brand-new car with a completely different button layout, an awkward driving position, smaller shoes, and so on. The balance is different, the braking points are different—everything is different compared to Williams. Everything. And he had two or three practice sessions to get used to the machine.

It is perfectly clear at this point: Russell is a better, faster driver than Bottas, and perhaps even on par with Hamilton.

But wait, what does Williams even have right now? Is it Honda or Renault? 😬

I honestly had no idea they had switched up their engine supplier.

By the way, I'm thinking we should all just start calling Russell Cinderella from now on!
Jose Myers87 As I was saying:
I honestly feel like Bottas is driving for both his own career and Lewis Hamilton's today. The stakes couldn't possibly be higher, and I guess you could even say this might just be the most important race of the century!

I honestly feel like the stakes involved were just so incredibly high that maybe, if I'm being totally honest, Lewis might have just made up the whole coronavirus thing just to get a head start on heading home early; I mean, it’s possible he just wasn't really feeling up for all the extra hassle, wouldn't you agree? 🤣

I guess you could say that Lewis Hamilton is truly in a league of his own, though I suppose it depends on how one views his current trajectory within the sport! It honestly feels like we are watching a living legend navigate such complex waters, and while there might be some debate among the fans, I’ve always felt that his sheer talent and presence on the track are simply undeniable, wouldn't you agree? I have to say, things aren't exactly looking great at the moment, I suppose.Well, if you take what Mercedes boss Toto Wolff has been saying lately, it sounds like the F1 World champion is currently battling with some mild symptoms of coronavirus. I suppose if I had to describe things right now, I might say they feel somewhat mild, though I guess that’s just my perspective on the matter! It seems like there might be some confusion regarding those pesky coronavirus symptoms, though I suppose one could argue that everyone experiences them a little differently depending on their own unique constitution! It’s quite possible that someone might feel a bit under the weather with just a slight fever or perhaps a lingering cough, but then again, you never truly know how it might manifest until it actually happens. I guess we all just have to stay cautious and hope for the best, don't you think?

I can't help but wonder if feeling unwell with just those mild symptoms might be a bit of a convenient excuse, perhaps to dodge the media circus, sponsors, and all those heavy obligations for both this weekend and the next one.

It’s really a toss-up, isn't it? I mean, I can't help but wonder if wiredfalcon2 might actually have a point when he suggests that Lewis won't be taking home the championship title next year. It feels like such a massive question mark, though, doesn't it? Maybe he's right, or maybe we're all just overthinking the whole thing! 😬

Nobody ever gave Stroll, Norris, Latifi, Russell, Sainz, etc., a chance to change their minds. They were basically born into an assembly line for professional athletes.

It's the same in every sport. People start too early—that's why they all end up acting like idiots in the end.

Think about Mozart—he was playing the piano at just 3 years old and composing music by the age of 4! 🤔
stormybadger8 said:You're going to need it specifically because of Lewis Hamilton.🙂
That eighth title he sees the sky.☕

😁

I really think you should take a moment to think about it. I mean, the rules aren't changing from this year, and everyone will still be driving the exact same cars. Honestly, who could possibly snatch a championship away from Lewis Hamilton? Perhaps Valtteri Bottas might have a shot, though I guess I don't quite believe in that scenario, and I suspect you probably don't either 😁

As for the rest of the grid, I just don't see anyone being anywhere near him, let alone becoming a real threat.

Maybe a McLaren powered by Mečkin engines could pull something off, but honestly, that feels like even more of a fantasy than Bottas winning the title.

It looks like we are heading into a long, rather tedious season next year where we'll likely find ourselves listening to God Save the Queen weekend after weekend. I suppose the only realistic way to avoid that is if the Queen passes away, in which case we'll all be hearing God Save the King instead. 😁
ruggedhawk20 said:Thinking the Walton family bought a team just for young Stroll to drive is a complete delusion.

The elder Stroll bought the team for himself. He’s the one living out unfulfilled dreams through his kid.

Young Stroll is basically just there to satisfy his father's twisted ego.

Nobody ever actually asked young Stroll if he even wanted to be a driver—his dad just made the call for him.

If Formula 1 was actually young Stroll's dream instead of his father's, there isn't a God alive who could force the old man to drop a single cent on his son's career.

So yeah, Aston Martin is just a toy for the father, and young Stroll is just there to fix his old man's complexes.

And that's exactly why having a top-tier first driver matters so much to the elder Stroll—he cares about the team's overall standings.

Deep down, he knows his son just doesn't have the talent.

Well, you've certainly piqued my interest now!

It seems to me the old man has a fetish for Ferrari, rather than a true love for Formula 1 itself.

Their real surname might have been something else entirely before they rebranded to Stroll—perhaps they have Jewish roots, and maybe even a distant ancestor from our neck of the woods!

And here are his mother and sister.

They certainly aren't bad looking, I must say! 🍿
Nicholas Newman2 said:If he doesn't assert himself right from the start, things could get even worse than they were in Turkey.
The current situation isn't helping him at all, though I suppose that doesn't mean much.

I mean, if my dad had actually bought me a Formula 1 team just so I could drive, I doubt even someone like Ayrton Senna would have been able to push me around as a second driver, let alone some guy like Sebastian Vettel.

I wonder if you might have considered downloading the official tools directly from the manufacturer's website and then attempting to perform a low-level format using those specific utilities?
stormybadger8 said:Are you practicing for Alonso's comeback already? 🙂
Keep practicing, man, you're gonna need it. 😁

And just to back up our buddy Kenneth Cruz67, he's gonna need it too...

Look, I have a soft spot for Alonso and all, but honestly, I think Lewis is just a bit more my style. I'm really looking forward to seeing him grab that eighth title and absolutely shatter every single record out there. 😁

If anyone is actually going to be in need of help, I'd say it’ll probably be you next year when the Stroll family starts acting out against Vettel. 😛
stormybadger8 said:Lucky for them their engine was a total junk pile, so they managed to wreck that too 😍
Honestly, thank god the car was just as much of a disaster, otherwise they wouldn't have trashed the tires so fast...
The only real shame is that Mattia Binotto wasn't a complete failure himself, so we could finally see him degrade too 🙂

That guy is just straight-up incompetent. It’d be hard to find that level of uselessness anywhere else in the States 🤦
I’ve got a feeling if anyone handed Microsoft over to him, he’d bankrupt the whole company within a year...

I think you hit the nail on the head there. It isn't just that Vettel is a dud; it seems like the engine is a dud, the aerodynamics are a dud, the pit wall is a dud, the strategy is a dud, and well, Binotto being a dud just goes without saying.

And I suppose none of that would actually be such a massive issue if Leclerc were also a dud.

But he isn't.😁 I guess Mali is just driving brilliantly despite having a teammate who is mentally checked out, despite being surrounded by a whole bunch of incompetent fools, and even though he's stuck in such a junk heap of a car.👍
silverviper44 said:Come on, stop lying. Everyone knows Vettel has arguably the best Ferrari he's ever driven. The issue is clearly him, not the car. The guy is a four-time fraud. 😁 😁

He isn't some influencer who could win a championship even in a Williams Racing. 😁 😁

Exactly. That’s my point all along: Ferrari has been riding Vettel like a tired workhorse, yet he handles it like a gentleman because he's honoring his contract until the end.

I honestly don't get what idiots are running Ferrari. Every single damn point matters when you're fighting for the prize money.

I suppose you could argue they didn't degrade him just because they favor Charles Leclerc more, but rather, he sort of let himself slide due to some really shaky driving, those silly little mistakes, unnecessary spins and wobbles, a lack of self-control, and just letting championship wins or podium opportunities slip right through his fingers.

I mean, how can you even talk about degrading a driver when they're performing like that? 😁
wiredseal7 said:We aren't even talking about a 3-5 tenth gap anymore—it’s closer to 2. There are tracks out there where people clock 1:15s and more, and this isn't even that much shorter. Besides, Red Bull Racing actually brought their summer updates, whereas Germany didn't.

My only thought is that the layout feels almost like an oval, you know? With just two or three chicanes and these massive straightaways, it doesn't really feature any proper, technical corners.
Without Lewis and Mercedes being able to keep pace with Red Bull Racing and Ferrari, they aren't even looking at a front-row start right now.

It seems like Lewis is performing more like an old-school Fernando Alonso lately, dropping about 0.6 seconds per lap, and I suppose if some sort of magic happens, he might even pull Valtteri Bottas up by at least half a second. 😁

Which driver, and just how big of a gap are we talking about? 🙏🙏🙏
Nicholas Newman2 said:At one point, I honestly found myself wondering which group this was even going to turn into.
I have to say, I’m actually pretty happy seeing how Russell is performing lately.
Dust follows a fast horse. Qualifying hasn't even happened yet, and we're already on page nine of this thread.

👍I've already mentioned that earlier in this thread.

I suppose if Russell manages to get his hands on a truly competitive car and starts racking up those wins, we might just see a scenario that plays out almost exactly like the Lewis Hamilton era. Only, I have this nagging feeling that Russell would probably lean even harder into that quintessential Englishman persona, which, if you ask me, might make him just a little bit more irritating to deal with.😁
Nicholas Newman2 said:If I'm following the logic here:
-The cherry tree represents everyone who thinks differently.
-Voluntarily moving ten feet to the left means accepting an explanation.
-Twenty years is the timeframe where absolutely nothing changes.

It would make more sense to say:
-The tree can't be moved; Mother Nature made it that way, defying all belief.😁
-Moving left, or in any direction you want, is clearly an illusion—even to someone with bad eyesight.🤔
I mean, when has anyone actually seen a tree move, unless we're talking about Lord of the Rings?🤷
-Twenty years is the window of time during which nothing will change.

If people could just wait until Sunday, then if the results look like they did in Free Practice 1 or Free Practice 2, they can vent all they want.
Right now, this feels more like someone just grasping at straws.

I suspect this is all just setting the stage, really. No matter how things actually shake out on the track, I imagine someone will inevitably try to spin the result to support whatever narrative they’ve already decided on.

I suppose if George Russell performs well, everyone will claim it's all thanks to the car. But if he struggles, then it'll be blamed entirely on him. In either scenario, it seems like Lewis Hamilton is just being viewed as a mediocre talent who happened to catch a lucky break with 😁
Amy Castillo4 said:Yeah, but it’s pretty telling when a guy jumps into a car for the first time—no prep, tight cockpit and all—and somehow strolls through practice sitting in P1.

If he had stayed in that Williams Racing car, which he knows inside and out, he’d be sitting somewhere around 15th or 20th. This isn't about the car at all. Honestly, I feel bad for Bottas.

I guess you could say there isn't much left for him to learn here, because Russell has already spent so much time behind the wheel of this car, not to mention his previous stints driving for Mercedes-Benz and the models before that. Even during his time at Williams Racing, he was essentially chasing the same Mercedes engine performance, so I suppose there really isn't anything truly unknown to him. It probably helps quite a bit that the regulations haven't seen any major shifts over the last five or six years, either!

Back in the old days of Formula 1, I guess teams would only manage to clock about 30,000 kilometers during their testing sessions, whereas nowadays, it feels like you can wrap up a few days of testing and head straight into the season opener!

Well, it’s finally Friday, so I suppose we’ll just have to wait and see how everything unfolds during qualifying and the race itself!
I wonder what all you forum experts are actually expecting when it comes to Lewis's replacement?

Is everything else besides taking first place just considered a total failure in your eyes?
How to set A3 paper size in Word 2003? in IT Support ·
swifttinker40 said:I'm trying to put together an A3-sized calendar using Word 2003 (which I plan to take down to a local print shop), but I've run into a bit of a snag because my home printer only supports standard Letter size, so A3 isn't showing up in my page setup options.
Someone suggested that if I just install a PDF reader, a virtual PDF printer would show up in my list of available printers within Word.
So, I went ahead and installed Adobe, but for some reason, it’s just not appearing in my printer list in Word at all.

Does anyone happen to know how I can make this work?

I mean, what does the physical printer actually have to do with the digital page size you're designing? 🤦

If you just head over to the layout tab, select the size option, and manually set it to A3, it should work fine.
