It isn't bad...
I'm struggling to follow some of the tracks, though. Take "Mund," for instance—I have absolutely no clue what he's getting at.
Can anyone share their thoughts?
Solid album. It’s currently a favorite among all those neoliberal types (honestly, I can't even deal with how much they fawn over him)... but man, seeing him live at Madison Square Garden during that last show was incredible!
The lyrics in "Mund" only make sense to me occasionally... although I always get stuck on that line about "she wasn't... vaccinated."😁
An absolutely fantastic film. While Boyhood felt like a bit of a drag to me, this flew by in two hours. No clichés, no forced drama... everything just flows perfectly. There's a massive cast, yet every single character stands out. Hats off to Linklater!
It really reminds me of "The Liberator," and honestly, it holds its own. My only gripe is that the ending still feels a bit fuzzy to me—that final shot where they spot the truck (🤔)... was that supposed to be their salvation or what? 🤔
He’s also one of my favorite actors... I’m looking forward to rewatching his performance in "Radiance" this Monday... truly an unforgettable role... but that turn as The Joker... 😍...he completely hijacked the entire movie... calling him a villain is a joke... and don't even get me started on Let... 👍
I’m not sure if this has been brought up in other threads, but Carpenter is filming a new project... I caught a report on ABC last night—it looked to be about 147 pages long—stating he’s going to start by shooting two episodes for the "Masters of Horror" series before moving on to an omnibus titled "Southern Gothic" about a former priest battling supernatural forces... Ugh, finally. The only lingering question is whether he can actually bounce back after those disastrous "duh Mars" movies, but regardless, it's Carpenter, so you can't afford to miss it...🙏🙏🙏

I suppose you could put it that way...🙏 🙏though Halloween has always been number one for me, probably because it was the first Carpenter flick I saw and it caused me countless sleepless nights... If only I could find my copy of Dark Star... I know I have the VHS somewhere... who's going to find it...😳
poirot@ I think Big Trouble in Little China aired on CBS a few months back, maybe around October or November... The police raid, Christina, Fog, Halloween, and stvor are my absolute favorites... probably just because they shaped my childhood, though Oni Zivjeti, Bijeg, L. A., New York City, and Dark Prince are also top-tier....
I can't recall if anyone brought up "into the jaws of madness" starring Sam Neil, but that's a legit horror flick in my book. 👍

It feels like something similar happened in real life according to what Edwards has said, but the movie throws it in there with so much inaccuracy that it feels totally out of left field—it's like a non sequitur that leaves you hanging without any real sense of closure. Just a confused mess...😕
That is exactly my point; nothing makes any sense to me either... I honestly thought it might be a nod to his latest movie since they bring him up the second the scene ends, but who knows...🤷
I simply cannot wrap my head around that final scene where Sellers is just standing there by the coffee shop, looking completely catatonic, only for Edwards to walk out and kiss him. Is this perhaps an allusion to a scene from his later film, where he plays some old man trying to recapture his youth or something similar? I haven't actually seen it, if I recall correctly...
Those space soldiers from the high command are actually quite interesting... maybe somewhere out there, there's a planet crawling with giant insects...🤷
It’s true, I was mostly sitting through the first film just to catch those Peter Sellers moments... but I had no idea that Sellers and Edwards actually couldn't stand each other!!!!😕
director: John Carpenter cast: Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Clint Eastwood, and Steve Buscemi actresses: Angelina Jolie, Scarlett Johansson, Elizabeth Hurley, and Monica Bellucci genre: Horror plot: Eight friends head out for a wild night in the woods, but once the fog rolls in, they find themselves hunted by strange creatures (and no, I don't mean the 13th Warrior or anything else)...
Carpenter would have turned this into a legitimate horror masterpiece... and honestly, even if the movie is total garbage, you still get that cast of actresses...😁

That was a truly excellent film; in my opinion, it's the only real horror movie out there!!! The atmosphere is incredibly dark... though I'd also like to see leptirica, as I've heard it features a few scary scenes as well....

Look, I'd much rather my kid watch Freddy Krueger or Jason Voorhees than listen to that sick woman who actually tried to kill a child at one of her shows. Honestly, I've seen the shift in my own friends ever since they started listening to her, even though they used to be perfectly fine watching horror movies!!!! I'm not against him personally and I was all for him playing a show in Phoenix, but if I had to choose...
