If I were a parent, I would have banned my child from listening to Charles Manson long before I’d ever worry about them watching horror movies, if I actually had to choose between the two!!!!
Let people watch whatever they want. At the end of the day, it's on the parents to decide whether or not their kids should be exposed to this stuff! My old man let me watch Night of the Witch and a bunch of other Carpenter Horror movies when I was only eight... if you ask me, kids shouldn't even be looking at this kind of content before they're thirteen or fourteen!!!!!🙂 🙂

Heh... I saw you out by the coast!😬 😎 Come on, it's your turn! The first thing I went to check when I finally got online was that thread from Clint, but you haven't posted a single thing...🙂 🙂
Maybe someone already posted this, but if not... that scene where Hannibal is slicing through Ray Liotta's brain!!!!! absolutely horrific... and then those wild boars tearing those guys apart...
"Deliverance" is that movie by John Borman—I can't quite recall the exact spelling—starring Jon Voight, where he and his buddies get terrorized by those crazed hillbillies. There aren't any monsters in it at all!!!!!
Douglas Phillips4 said:If I’m reading you right: you have your opinion, you don't give a damn what anyone else thinks, and if someone disagrees, they're just an idiot who knows nothing. That completely disqualifies you from having a discussion, so why even start this thread? In my view, since this topic isn't going to be productive anyway, it'll be enough if you just realize how stubborn, exclusionary, and biased you are. 🙂
Look, I have no idea what you're talking about. I haven't told ANYONE, and I mean NOBODY, that they are stupid or clueless. Honestly, there are plenty of brilliant people here, so maybe try paying closer attention to what I actually write. I pointed out FIVE TIMES that we are all just fighting for no reason, yet the very next post is everyone insulting each other again. I started this thread simply to see what people thought about dividends, and I don't see the issue—I have my opinion and you have yours, just like everyone else! BUT NO, you just had to include that last sentence calling me stubborn, exclusionary, and biased. Fine, I have nothing left to say to you!!!! Look, I don't want to fight with anyone because this forum isn't the place for it. I don't see any reason for you to insult me, but I know I won't be doing the same to you...
I don't care what you think; write whatever you want, watch whatever you want... we all just fight for the sake of fighting. Honestly, I have no idea how you claim to judge someone's expertise based on a few sentences, but fine. I have no intention of arguing back since I'm certainly no expert in this field, but saying I know nothing is quite an insult... It is simply further proof that we are primitive, pathetic creatures who constantly crave pointless conflict and mindless bickering...
The Exorcist—an old lady goes to check on her little one because she’s started acting strange. She thinks everything is fine, turns off the light, leaves the door wide open, and walks away. The camera is positioned in a dark room, watching her walk down the hallway, when suddenly, you catch this demonic silhouette on the left side of the screen lurking in the shadows... chilling...😈 😈 😲 What a damn scene...
Look, Nicholas Sullivan49, I’m not trying to pick a fight with you, but there is absolutely no reason for me to bother with DivX files. My home theater setup is built for DVDs, and frankly, the DivX files I own are complete garbage. I have a dedicated player, but it isn't integrated into my home cinema system, and even if it were, it doesn't belong in that high-end setup anyway! I'm not looking for an argument, but just look at the quality of these files I'm dealing with. Maybe I jumped to conclusions thinking all DivX is junk, but mine are truly pathetic—the subtitles are out of sync and the graphics are a total disaster...
I can't shake this one scene from some mindless horror flick... I can't recall the title, but it’s about some group entering an old asylum and seeing all sorts of crazy stuff... I think there was some bet about who survives to win a million dollars.. Anyway, there's this shot where you see some deranged doctor on a corner monitor, moving his hands incredibly fast while working... It was such an unnatural, terrifying moment.. I know you guys are all 😕 right now, but maybe someone will recognize it. 😬
I know exactly which movie and scene you mean; that part stuck with me too. I think the movie is called "House of Fear."
Unfortunately, I haven't had the chance to watch any of these series yet, though I know Twin Peaks is excellent. I am surprised no one mentioned The Twilight Zone—wasn't that a bit more intense? At least that's what I heard...
Nicholas Sullivan49, you clearly have no clue what DivX even is or how it works. Claiming DivX is trash while DVDs are somehow superior? That’s just laughable...

This has honestly crossed the line from a discussion into pure arrogance! I have a full home theater setup—two rear speakers, two front ones, a center channel, a subwoofer, a DVD player, a receiver, and a plasma TV—so now you’re actually asking me where I would go to watch movies? Are you seriously suggesting I should bother going to a video rental store, buying DVDs, or trekking all the way out to some sketchy flea market just to find something to watch... $3.25 I'll just buy some cheap bootleg crap or download something online and watch it on my DivX player or computer, where both the audio and video quality are absolutely pathetic! Why should I waste my precious time hunting down subtitles? Why should I be forced to upgrade my entire setup just so this miserable DivX player can ruin a film—which is meant to be an art form—and destroy the very essence of cinema and video stores?! If you don't agree with me, I honestly couldn't care less...👋
