I’m going to lose my mind if I don't get an invite. Honestly, they were practically made for the Budweiser stage—pure chaos and nothing else.

The guy doesn't even know which continent he's on—and you're still entertaining him. 😁

Maybe Grinderman should have headlined instead—just a thought.😂
Now I’m thinking the same thing. If Grinderman even shows up, they'll probably just stick them on the Bud Light stage—leaving Damiana and whoever else to fend for themselves.😁
That headliner is a bit much—honestly, I’d have preferred seeing The Killers instead.
They’re just keeping us all in suspense—as usual.
Let’s see if Amanda Barrett4 actually has a point here—though I’m praying she doesn't, and even more so that we don't end up with some mediocre indie garbage again.
The lineup for Lollapalooza just dropped—thirty artists confirmed so far. Just what we needed to round out the summer.
Lollapalooza just dropped the news—23 acts officially confirmed for the lineup.
In Music — TOP 3
What can I even say? They’re going to cram a lineup of bands nobody actually listens to into the schedule over the next month—classic move.

Two bands I actually wanted to see have already dropped off—Gogol Bordello and The National. Honestly, the organizers can go jump in a lake 🙂
Honestly, Lollapalooza isn't much of an upgrade over the New York Philharmonic series—the lineups overlap quite a bit, and there’s plenty of filler in both, at least if you ask me.
I'm mostly just bummed the Boston Symphony Orchestra didn't pull through for their set—they're actually playing this upcoming festival instead.

We didn't even expect them to show up—it's pretty obvious the promoter is just playing it safe and doesn't want to risk the budget on a headliner this expensive.
Noah Jackson5 said:Go ahead—start your own festival and book whoever you want... though booking System of a Down would be pricey, and Motörhead wouldn't be cheap either. If you're feeling frugal, just grab $100 and head to Lollapalooza—I'll stay here listening to these "charming" little indie bands while everyone enjoys the "great atmosphere." 🙂
System of a Down is expensive, sure—but they’d pull in thousands. Honestly, I think even people who don't care about the festival itself wouldn't blink at dropping $117 for a one-day pass just to catch their set.
Sure, let's just drop ten more indie bands into the lineup—that’ll definitely keep the fans happy. I just can't fathom how anyone would actually find the time to see them all.
hm... I saw some chatter on the forums about Apocalyptica coming to the States. Looking at their schedule, they have a gap between June 19th and June 25th—maybe they'll show up at Coachella

Alright, putting the exam season aside—indices and all that—has anyone actually used a student discount ticket yet? I’m wondering if there are any specific markings on them
so they don't end up asking for a full ID at the gate or something.

Don't talk nonsense. Last year I used my student ID because my transcript was tucked away in my files. Their website explicitly states the discount applies with an ID, a transcript, or a university enrollment verification. Since I've graduated and am no longer a student, my only real concern is this: if I show up with my old ID, can they actually verify if I'm still enrolled or not? That's the only thing I care about.
Has anyone actually picked up a ticket using a student discount? I'm wondering if they have a way to verify—like, if you show them a fake ID or something
Tickets will be available at Mall of America locations across the US starting Monday, February 14th.

Is there any actual chance they'll play here this year? It might actually fill that third, somewhat sketchy stage—if I remember correctly, someone mentioned Alice in Chains might be part of a package deal last year... but then Bill had those health issues because of all the traveling, and everything just fell through...
Honestly, their website and MySpace aren't even being updated—nothing is confirmed on there yet, so we don't even know if they're free for one of the days during the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
