I grabbed it off a torrent and watched it just like those old classics, feeling the tension the whole way through
hahaha, looks like they tweaked some stuff on vb, so when you realized it wasn't working right, you just headed back to the home icon. Honestly, though, I think the whole vb board could probably run just fine if you guys would just stop using such massive fonts if you want it to
I might actually give it a shot, but honestly, the second I saw the title, I was already turned off before even hitting play. Why? Probably because one of those James Bond flicks starring Sean Connery had the title "From Russia with Love," and I just can't stand movies that blatantly rip off something else. I mean, sure, every movie borrows *something*—there’s no such thing as a truly original story—but you know exactly what I’m talking about when they make it this obvious and predictable... -.-' So yeah, there's basically zero chance I'm watching this.
I’ve actually been sitting here thinking the same thing—what if we just overhauled the whole look of this forum? Like, maybe swap out the current theme for something dark, or honestly, just whatever looks cool. It’d be a blast to see the site in a different color scheme, and I really think a bit of a visual facelift would go a long way. A fresh, polished vibe would definitely pull more people in and keep them hanging around.

I need some serious help here. So, I just finished installing Windows 7 Ultimate yesterday and man, it’s awesome—even with just 512MB of RAM, the thing flies and doesn't lag at all, even when I've cluttered it up with all my usual junk xD. But there's a huge catch: it won't recognize my modem, so I'm totally cut off from the internet. I tried setting up a broadband connection, but nothing is working. Can anyone help me out? Also, Happy New Year 2010!
The week it finally hit shelves:
Microsoft’s newest OS, Windows 7, is absolutely crushing it and looks like it’s going to smash every sales record out there now that it’s officially launched.
Amazon actually reported that this is the "biggest grossing pre-order product of all time," which is wild considering it has already surpassed the likes of Harry Potter and Nintendo.
During the Windows 7 yesterday launch event, Jeremy Fennell, the Category Director at DSGi—the folks who run Best Buy—noted that "WE have sold more copies of Windows 7 in Three Weeks on pre-order Than Vista sold in its First year."
AT midnight , queues could be seen outside stores as computers users Got Ready to upgrade their PCs to get their hands on this thing immediately. This whole rollout is basically meant to kill off Vista, which most people in the tech world pretty much wrote off as a total disaster. On top of that, Microsoft have Said that The latest operating system will be faster and less cluttered Than previous versions of Windows.
As the massive software giant that basically runs over 90 percent of all PCs, Microsoft is getting some solid praise for this update, and they're clearly hoping it helps them claw back the momentum they lost to rivals like Apple and Google.
“It’s the first really significant release of Windows in a decade,” noted Brendan Barnicle of Pacific Crest Securities. “Given The missteps around Vista, people really questioned Microsoft’s relevancy in the technology space. So this is a critical first step for Microsoft regaining that credibility.”
If you're looking at the Home Premium version, it’ll run you about $80 through the end of the year before it jumps to $100. The full version is sitting at roughly $150.
Big retailers like Best Buy are apparently loading up on external USB DVD drives too, mostly because Windows 7 comes on a disc and most netbooks these days don't even come with a built-in drive.
Even though you can just download the whole thing directly, most people still seem to want that physical copy in their hands. Here in the USA, Windows 7 is even being sold on a USB stick specifically for netbook users, though Microsoft hasn't confirmed if that exact same option is coming everywhere else yet.
Alright, so I’m kicking off some testing on Virtual PC today. First up, I'm gonna get Windows XP installed, then move on to Windows Vista, and finally run it for a whole week just to see how the hell everything holds up on a machine with only 512 MB of RAM. This could take me a week or two since I've got other stuff on my plate, but I'll let you guys know how it all shakes out once I'm done. Until then, wish me luck! =)
So, how did you actually burn it? Did you make sure to set it to burn as a bootable DVD?
Wait, how the hell am I supposed to set it to burn as a bootable DVD? I'm using ISO Power right now and I don't see any option for that anywhere.
man, I'd honestly love to be a mod on this site 🙂
Let’s take a second to appreciate a total classic that some of you might actually still have good taste for—one of those movies people still rewatch over and over again (Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice)
helped me finally kick my Facebook addiction🙂
