I guess the Europeans don't look much better today than they did yesterday. I'm just watching the morning session, and with the foursomes underway, three pairs are already down one, so we're trailing by one at the US Open. I have to admit, I'm not feeling super optimistic about defending the title, but the Ryder Cup is such a blast to watch, so I suppose whoever ends up winning deserves it. 😁

You probably won't believe me, but I guess it feels pretty much like that for almost all seven days. Maybe on that last day when I finally get home, I might actually be able to sleep through the whole thing...🤷
My main issue is just that I can't stay asleep once I get home from a night shift. I’ll go to bed at 7 AM and I'm wide awake again by 11. It probably wouldn't be such a big deal if I wasn't stuck working seven straight nights, but after the seventh day, I honestly look and feel like a total zombie. 🤷
Sleep isn't usually an issue for me otherwise. My primary care physician actually prescribed some Sanval, but after reading through the side effects and seeing what other people have experienced, I'm kind of hesitant to take them. ☕
If anyone has any suggestions or advice, I'd appreciate it.
Christian Reed said:Hey, I was wondering how you actually add subtitles using Premiere. I've got Madagascar 2 ready to go, but I have no clue where the subtitle settings are located since I've never done this before. Could someone please explain it to me in really simple terms?
I guess I just use Convert to DVD 3 for stuff like that. It seems way more straightforward to me. ☕
As for Premiere, if anyone happens to know—and I'm hoping someone does—how to merge two different AVI files into one using it, that would be great. Thanks!

iTunes isn't bad, I guess. I used it for a bit just to see what it was about, but honestly, I don't have any real reason to ditch Winamp. Maybe AIMP is fine if you have super basic needs, but it lacks a proper media library.😕
AIMP was total garbage to me. I didn't like it one bit. 😠
I just switched over to iTunes and I’m actually pretty happy with it so far. The interface is decent and it has everything I need, so I guess it'll be my main player for now. 👍👍👍 Plus, apparently—and I say apparently because I haven't actually tested this yet—you can sync an iPod with it. So, maybe I'll be able to manage my own iPod touch through this too. ☕
I tried setting up Windows 7 on my laptop, but I think there's some weird issue with the graphics, so I just went back to Windows XP. It seems like it's trying to run two different GPUs at once or something? I have a Mobility Radeon 9200, but there's also an integrated Intel chip in there, and now the screen is split into two pieces and everything looks totally distorted... I guess maybe someone else has dealt with this kind of thing or had it happen to them? Any idea what I should do? 🤷😕

That’s basically all I need, I guess, maybe I'll edit a movie here and there, but that's about it. I'm planning on picking up an extra 1 GB of RAM too, though Best Buy doesn't have it in stock right this second. So yeah, it should work fine.😁
Hey everyone. Quick question for you all. My five-year-old daughter is scheduled to have her tonsils out next week. We had to get some bloodwork done at the lab today, and one of the tests listed—I think it's called APTT, though the handwriting was pretty messy—has me wondering about something. Has anyone here actually had this specific test done, and did you end up having to pay out of pocket? We were charged $30. 😲 It’s for a kid. 😠 I mean, it's not like $90 is breaking the bank, but I thought kids were supposed to be exempt from copays.☕ I'm just trying to figure out if we got ripped off or if that's just how it works!
Hey there. Since this group is about hyperbaric chambers, I figured I’d ask a few things here. My mom’s been stuck in the hospital for eight days now because of constant vomiting and stomach pains. Basically, whatever she eats comes right back up. The doctors suspect severe gastritis, and they just told us she’s heading into a hyperbaric chamber tomorrow. I guess I'm wondering what they actually hope to achieve with that? And what is the point of the chamber itself? Just to be clear, they've already done a gastroscopy, an abdominal ultrasound, and lung scans... If anyone with some expertise has an idea, I'd really appreciate the help!
My daughter is about 4 and a half, and she’s constantly dealing with colds, stuffy noses, and all that—which usually ends up turning into ear infections... For the last couple of days, her nose has just been running non-stop. Someone suggested we get an inhaler, so we went ahead and picked one up, but I’m wondering if anyone here has actually used one on kids before. We tried using it once today just with some saline solution. I was thinking about using epinephrine since her nose is so blocked, maybe right before bed to help her sleep. Does anyone know how you're supposed to do that? Like, how much should I use and what should I mix it with? I guess I’d assume it’s with saline, but since I’ve never done this before, I figured I’d ask if anyone has more experience with it. Thanks in advance for any advice. 🙏
How much does that Rhino Horn go for? And what's actually in the stuff from DM? Is it just some basic nasal spray or something like that? Also, what's the damage on the price? Thanks! 🙏
Hey everyone, I was wondering if there's any way to actually "delay" my period. I've got a trip to Miami coming up on the 15th, but it looks like my cycle is due to start on the 18th. Is there some way to push it back? If so, how does that work, and I guess... are there any bad side effects? I haven't really dealt with this before, so I'm just curious. ☕ Thanks!
Mark Martin24 said:It’s pretty basic... I download the movie without subtitles, then grab the subtitle file separately, and now I need to know how to merge them into one single file—like, how do I hardcode the subtitles into the movie itself? I don't mean just using the "load subtitle" option in BS Player; I want to embed them permanently so I can watch the DVD with the translation included. Hopefully, that makes sense.
I guess you could just grab "Handbrake," put the movie and the subtitle file in a new folder on your desktop, but I should mention that they have to have the exact same filename for it to work, otherwise the software won't pick up the subtitles. So, if the movie is called "Rush Hour 3," the subtitle file needs to be named exactly "Rush Hour 3" too—spaces, dots, everything. Open the program, go to "add video file," select the movie from that folder, and check if it actually found the subtitles (it should list something like "subtitle 1 external" in the info section). Just hit "convert" after you decide where you want the finished DVD saved, and voilà, you've got a DVD with burned-in subtitles. Just keep in mind that this might burn the movie straight to a disc right after converting if that's how you set it up. But before you even try that, maybe check if the subtitles actually sync up right using "Subtitle Edit."👍
I'm running Windows 8, and honestly, there isn't much of a difference compared to 7, except that the interface looks completely different now. That main landing screen... I guess the Nero start smart and Nero burning ROM parts just had some tiny icon tweaks. They're barely even noticeable. 😬 Anyway, it looks nice enough, but the actual functionality is pretty much identical. It's fine by me, I suppose. ☕
Hey there. I have a quick question. I felt this little lump under my left armpit, and it’s pretty tender when I touch it. It isn't huge or anything—maybe about 3 to 5 mm if I had to guess. If anyone has any thoughts on this, I guess you could share them with me. I’m not trying to panic, but I can't exactly just ignore it either. Maybe someone here has dealt with something similar and could tell me what they experienced. Thanks.
My mother-in-law just had this little growth under her right eye removed—it was basically acting like an itchy mole, so they went ahead and cut it out. She just got her discharge papers from the clinic, and it says here: Basalioma solidum exulceratum cutis (in toto) (I’m assuming her husband transcribed 😬 correctly). I guess if anyone actually knows what that means, could you let me know? Thanks!😘
