Ethan Kath mentioned in a recent interview with Rolling Stone that the third Crystal Castles album might drop sometime this summer. Apparently, recording will Begin during February in USA, mostly because they loved the vibe when they toured there recently.
"We played a show there earlier this year and figured it would be a perfect spot to just disappear for a while," he said. "It feels like a great place to really unplug from the rest of the world."
Kath also suggested that the new material might share some DNA with Crystal Castles ii, though he made sure to clarify that they aren't 'going soft' and intend to keep things feeling pretty 'bleak.'
"Everything we write is meant to feel bleak. That's honestly all we're interested in doing."
I wonder if anyone knows specifically where they'll be setting up the studio? 🙂
The best ones, I think:
1. Deerhunter - Nothing ever Happened
2. Animal Collective - Water Curses
3. Jay Reatard - an Ugly Death
4. Stephen Malkmus - Cold son
5. The Notwist - Gloomy Planets
6. Crystal Castles - Crimewave (Crystal Castles vs. Health)
7. Beach House - Gila
8. No Age - Eraser
9. Deerhunter - Dot Gain
10. Portishead - The Rip
My least favorites, maybe:
The Fall - 50 Year Old man 🤮
The Bug - Angry (feat. Tippa Irie) 🙈
top 100 films by IMDb:
1. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966)
2. For a Few Dollars More (1965)
3. Million Dollar Baby (2004)
4. The Pursuit of Happyness (2006)
5. The Untold Story (1993)
6. Ebola syndrome (1996)
I remember that movie, I think I watched it when I was just a little kid and I really loved it back then 🙂

Even legends like Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan back in their prime don't seem to hold a candle to this guy. Tony Jaa is just an absolute god
but I'm wondering how they aren't connected, you know? Like, isn't there a link between the original and this sequel? Since Tony Jaa plays the same character from the first movie, maybe this is actually some kind of prequel? 🤔
Donnie Yen is better than Tony 😉
Some great news 😁
I suppose if this turns out to be even half as decent as the first one, it’ll definitely be worth checking out.
Baaaah, I honestly thought they were filming a My Bloody Valentine 3D concert, kind of like how U2 does it, rather than just making some remake of a bad movie🙂
I guess they might actually be a bit better than us, 😉 🤮
Honestly, this movie was such a disaster, it’s basically just poster material at this point. I guess I just don't understand how grown adults can actually sit down and decide to make films like this. 😢

And when I think about independent movies, if they're bad, they’re just, I don't know, spectacularly bad. Kind of like those Three Ninjas movies! How could you not love that?
I guess there's good stuff everywhere, whether it's mainstream or indie, so maybe we shouldn't just assume something is great simply because it falls into one category or the other...
offtopic: For instance, even though I mostly listen to indie stuff, I think future Love Sex sound is actually a fantastic album.
Well, obviously there's garbage in both indie productions and mainstream releases, but I suppose it might be a little easier to make high-quality indie music than it is to make indie films, mostly because of all the technical requirements and gear you need for cinema.🙂
I guess if you look at how things work, indie films aren't necessarily better than mainstream hits, which is kind of funny when you consider that indie music usually holds that reputation.

I guess it doesn't have quite as much humor, though I'd say it definitely features way more imaginative kills and blood.
briskbison41 said:What even counts as an American horror movie?
I wouldn't say so, I guess it's more of a comedy. There’s just so much killing and blood everywhere that it ends up being kind of funny rather than actually scary, maybe.
Has anyone else had a chance to check out this movie yet? I actually thought it was pretty great, even if the plot and the acting weren't anything to write home about, mostly because there's just so much Hell and some really hilarious moments scattered throughout.

I guess having an Elliott Smith headliner listening room would be pretty amazing, honestly. 👍
I guess most of his stuff just doesn't really grab me, and I find his lyrics to be a little bit lackluster, if I'm being honest. If you're looking for something in a similar vein, maybe Elliott Smith would be a better bet since he's probably a much more skilled guitarist and tends to write better lyrics.
I guess you could say that seeing Rainn Wilson and Steve Carell together in the American version of The Office is just one of those things that really makes my day, maybe because their chemistry is just so incredibly spot on.
I guess you could say that I've always had a bit of a soft spot for Simon Pegg, especially when you look at his work in movies like Hot Fuzz or Shaun of the Dead. It feels like he just has this unique way of bringing everything together, though maybe it's just my own perspective on his style.
I was just watching this crazy movie called ebola syndrome, and man, things get wild fast. So, basically, the boss's wife is cheating on him, and then he unexpectedly walks through the door with some random guy she's seeing. It turns into this total nightmare where he forces his wife to pee on her lover, which is just insane. Then, he actually wants to castrate the guy, but somehow manages to convince the guy that he'll just do it to himself, and the boss even hands him the scissors. I guess the boss is already starting to toast to the whole situation when the guy suddenly smashes a bottle right into his face, stabs his henchman in the groin, and then slams the boss's head into a folding table before jumping on it to break his neck. To top it all off, he cuts out his mistress's tongue because she decided to snitch on him to her husband. Honestly, all that chaos happens within the first five minutes or something like that.
