Dennis Hall41 said:Alright then. I guess I finally managed to stir up the old guard, the self-proclaimed rebels, and even the total rookies (xavierkat, I’m looking at you—I'll be watching for your vote next time!).😁
One day we're listening to country, the next we're all hitting the dance floor... as soon as the DJ drops the beat 🙂

Man, this server is being super glitchy today... it keeps cutting my voice in and out. Total technical meltdown on this end...
Dennis Hall41 said:Mods, come on, just admit it! You didn't vote for The Byrds because you actually think Sweetheart is some kind of masterpiece—I know for a fact you guys aren't really into country-rock... You only did it because you get a kick out of reading my absolute nonsense!😁
To sounds like an unexplored classic to me! And honestly, that intro of yours? It’s just a total side note... 😛
Nah, I guess we’re back to just waiting on Sade... 🙂
Growing up, his music was basically the soundtrack to my entire childhood. To be honest, I took a long break from listening to him because, you know, sometimes you just hit a point where all that heavy sentimentality starts feeling a bit too much... a little too cheesy. If I’ve picked anything of his to play over the last decade or so, it’s definitely been his more upbeat, feel-good tracks.
Look, you don't have to be a fan, but there's no denying the massive footprint he left on music history. It's just an undeniable fact at this point.
Anyway, let's not ruin an already gloomy day by dwelling on it.

Speaking from experience here? 😁 I don't exactly go around flirting with users, if you know what I mean... ☕ Though, it never really crossed my mind that I might get blacklisted over some old mistakes, so hey, it’s not totally out of the question... 🙈
Nah, it’s showing up everywhere I look! 😁 There’s definitely going to be another one popping up soon, especially if anyone actually decides to vote for those suggestions sitting at zero right now... 😛 I think I probably just broke the server when I tried to cast my vote 😬
For some reason, it’s not registering my votes 😁 Honestly, it doesn't even matter! If everyone else isn't having this issue, the poll should run just fine. And hey, if we really need to, we can always just go in and manually count the ones I missed... 😁
I'm gonna retrace all my steps Just to hide where I've been Trying to mask my urge to rebel Just to pull you away from me
And that bitterness coming from a father's heart Is always gonna drive brothers apart We're calm and we're kind We aren't big on loud surprises We just keep moving along Because standing still means death And being slow just brings the fear
We guys, with our cold manners Aren't ever gonna soften up for your kindness No matter how hard we attempt it You ask why cry about anything at all? Well, we say just cry until there's nothing left And we're gonna keep crying for another day Because the stuff that ties us to our sorrow Is the same thing that ties the artist to his clay Because the stuff that ties us to our sorrow Is the same thing that ties the artist to his clay
We're feeling the most alive Totally drifting through life Dragging our chains and whips as we move Through the wreckage of America And every once in a while Caught up in our own reflections It feels like there isn't any place No real home for us except for this country This land belongs to me This land belongs to you
You're only hurting as much as you choose to Guys like us won't let anyone else sink We split the best bread together That tiny bit of bitter scorn
No deity, no boss, no master serving a slave I'm done serving you or your palace of skin When the loneliness starts stretching between us in bed
Our whole sacrifice is like a blade against the neck of time But we'll deal with it some other day Because the stuff that ties us to our sorrow Is the same thing that ties the artist to his clay Because the stuff that ties us to our sorrow Is the same thing that ties the artist to his clay
Through living, through loving, through wanting I really know I ran away just like you did

Last time we chatted, we said since everyone's getting so hyped up about this, we'd allow more than ten. We're taking suggestions until the end of the day, then the poll goes live!
He probably just uploaded it directly to Postimg himself... honestly, finding an image with decent resolution can be such a pain sometimes.
EDIT: Oh, wait, you already cleared that up.
A big welcome to the newcomers, kvekukvaku, and Xavier 👍 I'm super excited to dive into these suggestions and see what you guys have in store for us! 🙂
Dennis Hall41 said:Wait, where’s the thread for Mountain Dew?... I can't find it anywhere! 🙂
Well, I've actually got a question for you, my good man... 😛
Lisa Davis46 said:Hey... my man Dennis Hall41! 🙂
Looking at that organized list of albums on the first page, I noticed our buddy Casey Flores hasn't popped up yet. No clue when he might show up, and this album has been sitting there waiting for a bit... so I was wondering, would you be down to write an intro? It seems like you know Mountain Dew inside and out, and maybe you've got some extra time on your hands... 🕺
Also, if anyone else out there thinks they know their stuff and feels like jumping in to write about this before we even get to the chosen album, please do! I'd love to hear from you... don't be shy!
Honestly, I’m much more into the psychedelic vibes of The Wizard of Oz than any potential horror reboot... you can check out how it looks and sounds in the link below 😁
Basically, they just played the entire Dark Side of the Moon album over the movie footage, and since the runtimes don't actually match up, the film just keeps going until the music stops 🙂
northernangler8 said:So, I’m still a little confused about how these polls actually work. I thought you could only pick one person! Then I realized later that I could have voted for more than just one...
Yeah! Basically, if you see those little circles, you can only pick one. But if you see squares, you get multiple choices. For our Album of the Week thing, we use the squares so you can support a bunch of different albums at once. Of course, it's totally fine to just pick one if you aren't feeling the others, but using the extra votes helps certain albums get more traction, which makes it easier to see which one will win next week...🙂
Just a heads up though, once you hit vote, there's no going back, unfortunately!
We’re gonna pack even more in this time around, so feel free to keep those suggestions you sent over 🙂 If you make it in by midnight, I'll get the poll up
