It’s not up on their official site just yet, but they’re still hitting a few more US cities before the end of the year as part of that "first 30 years" tour!

I’ve caught them live a handful of times now and honestly? They never get old. 🙂

In honor of that... Wartburg limo 👋

Do you guys actually buy music? in Music ·
I stumbled upon this cool infographic— a video showing the best-selling albums over the years, so if anyone else is into this kind of stuff, definitely check it out 🙂

I can see the rain starting to pour down from the clouds...Is this just the same old loop playing over and over again? 🙂
Nickname change (read first post!) in Forum Help! ·
I’ve been mulling this over for a while now, so I figured I’d just ask... Is there any way I can change my username to Amanda Robinson4? 😬

Of course you can! 🙂 Just shoot a DM to Nick
Takeshi Kitano in Movies ·
I actually just finished watching Brother. It’s pretty good, though some of the plot points felt a little out there, you know? A bit weird in the script department... Still, it’s nice to see a fresh take on an action flick. He really should dive deeper into more Japanese stories next time.

So, I was doing a little digging into how this movie even came to be. Apparently, Kitano was really pushing to break into the American market, which explains why the production feels the way it does...

On RT, it's sitting at a 48% approval rating, and honestly, even Kitano didn't seem thrilled with how everything turned out. But hey, that doesn't mean it isn't worth a watch!

That’s actually how I first got into them. If you count those three shows they played at the local dive bar venue near downtown... 🎉 Seriously, perfect music for scaring off bears... 😬

NP : radost weighed in on the current situation, using that signature sense of timing to drop this gem: machine guns🙏

Well, there it is. The decision is official 😬

Alright! I’ll leave this open until the end of the day just in case anyone else wants to weigh in or throw out a different idea. If not, I'll go ahead and update the name 😁

Well, that’s actually the same name as the very first thread... 🤷 Is there even any reason to change it? ☕

It’s been ten years since... Documentary premiere... finally happening! So excited for this one... turns out it's actually going to be epic! It really captures that vibe... how punk rock connects with a small American town. Such a cool dynamic!

Tim's celebrating... So many bands are getting back together again... it's happening!...and honestly, most of them haven't even been active for years now. Just totally gone...

It’s Saturday, November 2nd, and honestly... I don't think they've even finished announcing all the performers yet!

Facebook Event I'm still here, and man, the news just keeps on coming...

Swans - Coming It's Real

Or...The Hanging Man... such a heavy title, right? Makes you think! Still, I can't stop spinning it around in my head... just wild how music hits you like that sometimes!"

Haven't even had a chance to sit down and listen yet. But hey, we all know exactly what kind of chaos is heading our way if they show up soon... 🎉

Just chilling over here today... nothing but good vibes...

Now Playing: Air - Silver Woman... such a vibe! Just floating through the speakers... absolute magic... 🙂

Oh man, it’s like someone’s knocking on the door of all those forgotten hits... I was just listening to one the other day on my way home 🎉

This old thread has officially blown past the 10,000 post mark, so it’s high time we kicked off a fresh one!

I just wanted to take a second to recap where we are with one of our longest-running music threads. Let's keep things feeling like a fun retrospective... oh, and just a quick heads-up: let’s try not to go overboard with all the links and YouTube previews.

We see plenty of those over on the other subforums and various other threads, so let's make sure we don't clutter this space up with too many of them either. ☕

Everything else? Totally welcome!

I don't know about you guys, but I absolutely live for when grebe melotron kicks in... 🙂

For the skydivers out there, use NP to share what's currently spinning in your headphones!

I honestly wasn't expecting this whole experimental, "art house" vibe when I first read about the movie, so it caught me totally off guard. It definitely gives off those similar vibes to Trierov Melancholija, but for some reason, it just didn't hit home for me...

It starts out feeling pretty amateurish, then picks up a bit of energy, and yeah, things actually happen, but I don't know... I just couldn't really get into that low-budget approach of mixing a deeply personal tragedy with a sci-fi setting. It felt a bit off.

On the flip side, I wouldn't call it pretentious. For what it is, it’s actually decent. Like, totally fine for someone's big debut or a senior thesis project at a school like NYU...

It’s not even the same league, but then again, we aren't even talking about the same thing! This one is all about that coming-of-age vibe—you know, a kid totally obsessed with the local mobster in his neighborhood. Plus, you've got family dynamics, romance, and even touches of racism woven in there... Honestly, Sonny himself actually comes across as a pretty decent guy. In some ways, he's even more positive than his own father, who was just your typical hard-working family man...

The nineties were such a goldmine for incredible movies. Even though most people call this one a total classic, I actually haven't had the chance to sit down and watch it yet. Honestly, it feels weird that I missed out on it until now...

I was just thinking about how back then—unlike nowadays—filmmakers could dive into all these heavy, complex themes without losing their way. Everything just worked together so seamlessly...

On top of the fact that de Niro absolutely kills it playing the father, you have to remember this was his directorial debut (out of only two films he ever did)...

Sure, some might say the messages in there are things we'd label as "politically correct" today, and I bet it's no accident they lean into those topics. But unlike a lot of modern movies, this one isn't screaming for attention at festivals or begging for awards. It actually has soul, and it doesn't feel forced or pathetic at all...
