Raymond Ortiz89 said:Look at the weight difference—it’s gotta be much lighter now. What was Ferrari even planning?

They're just praying for rain. 😉

Just read this... if you think they're "lighter"...

Felipe Massa - "We need more pace."

The Brazilian driver believes Ferrari needs more speed if they want to challenge McLaren tomorrow. Massa secured second on the grid.

Massa had to settle for second place, trailing Lewis Hamilton, who claimed his fifth pole of the season.

The Ferrari driver admits he's happy with his lap, yet feels the car's raw speed might not be enough to catch Lewis Hamilton.

"I put in a great lap, but it wasn't enough. Sometimes you drive a perfect lap and you still find yourself lacking something," per autosport.com.

"We have to figure out what's missing. The car felt great and I drove a solid lap, but it's simply not sufficient."

The Ferrari driver hopes strategy will save him tomorrow, though he concedes they need more outright speed to overtake McLaren.

"We don't know their fuel loads compared to ours, but they seemed faster through all three qualifying segments—a clear sign they're in great shape here."

"But races are long. Starting from the front row is crucial, and I'll give it everything I've got to make sure tomorrow goes well."

"The car is good, the balance is there, but we need more speed if we want to get ahead of them. We just couldn't find it today."

"Maybe things look different tomorrow; we just have to push ourselves to the limit to stay competitive."

Way to go, Lewis! Finally—he actually knocked Massa down a peg. Maybe now he'll get a little reality check.🤣

We'll see about that F1 - Reloaded nonsense!

I wouldn't bet the house on that being a sure thing—we really ought to check with FIU first.

Good grief, are you people still bickering over the starting lights?😲 It’s honestly childish—really...
FIA, just make a final call and end this nonsense already...

Bradley Nelson2 said:he’s easily the best... out there in the gravel traps and pit lanes—nobody does it quite like him.🤣

Look, just watch some of the other drivers' boneheaded mistakes—like when Kimi missed the pit lane at the 2007 race in Germany, or Kimi at Monaco 2007, or even Michael Schumacher at Monaco 2006... there's plenty more where that came from. I'm not saying Lewis Hamilton is perfect, but...

Hamilton and Rosberg dropping ten spots on the grid—just my luck.

Unknown😠 😠-- just typical. 😠--

Not quite yet—but he’s firmly in the top 3, and mark my words, he'll be the GOAT eventually!!!👍🙏

Kudos to Robert Kubica Polish BMW Sauber—truly impressive—but let’s be real, this was never actually happening... It wasn't meant for Lewis Hamilton, but fine—the biggest players always seem to miss the mark!😢👍

Jason Campbell70 said:Regarding Montoya, Hakkinen, Hamilton, and Alonso😉

Hakkinen—a two-time champ with a rather limited vocabulary, sure, but the driving talent was undeniable. (Maybe you just can't stomach him because he was a McLaren driver; that's on you...)
Montoya was really the only one of that era who knew how to put on a show—mostly through sheer aggression and pure, unadulterated stupidity. And that's what he pulled on Schumi while driving a BMW that was two or three tenths slower...
Hamilton: Lost the title over a single point in his debut season, yet by the time we hit China, the championship was basically already his. He drives like he's on rails—even if his car wasn't exactly the fastest thing on the grid.
Alonso: Honestly, saying he isn't good is a massive disappointment on your part. I don't even think we need to discuss Alonso and his driving style back during the Schumacher era!

this post was a real letdown--honestly, I expected better

Regarding what, exactly?
Trip Report: Canada (Montreal) - June 8, 2008 in Formula 1 ·
In my book, the greats were Peterson, Senna, Schumacher, Montoya, Hakkinen, Alonso, Raikkonen, and Hamilton—though don't go thinking I've listed them in any particular order of quality...

Personally, I’d rather see him at Ferrari instead of Kubica—let Kubica focus on making BMW actually competitive using that brain of his.

placidsurfer9 said:Hamilton is way too obsessed with winning—he can't stand anyone being ahead of him—but once he learns to reel that ego in and stays just as hungry for the win, then we'll see something special.

Honestly, this crash isn't any stupider than those legendary clashes between Senna and the rest of the pack....

Exactly—that’s precisely what I was trying to get across at the start of this thread!

ruggedcrane6 said:He’s just a superior driver—period. He’s sitting at 5th in the standings while Sebastian is down at 14th. If Sebastian actually had a decent car, maybe things would be different... but as it stands? No chance.

Just put him in a BMW... Honestly, the guy is a wizard when it rains.

Based on what?😲

Bradley Nelson2 said:well, looking at this season, it's clear there's 😁

Even if he does—he hasn't a clue how to capitalize on it. Someone hit the nail on the head once: BMW is only successful because of that German influence... They really should have held onto Sebastian Vettel while they had him.

Bradley Nelson2 said:Remember when that downpour turned the pit lane into a total disaster? When they practically had to crane Hamilton back into the race?

Yeah, during that mess...👍 But then again—he botched the pit stop anyway. Think Michael Schumacher would’ve made that kind of mistake in the rain? Not a chance.☕
