nimbleharbor46 said:You were probably just watching this from the sidelines. I don't really get the whole "nine people isn't my thing" attitude—that feels a bit pointless to me. Personally, I love being out there, meeting people and socializing.

I don't need "something," I need the whole experience.

Yeah, I was watching from the sidelines.

It's a shame you enjoy going out, because I represent the exact opposite philosophy. We aren't going to see eye to eye on this one.

Way to go, Donna. Dealing with a group of nine isn't really my style, but it was great watching you step up and hold your own with such a brand-new crew. It’s especially impressive since most of them are flying solo right now, just hoping they can build something meaningful alongside you.

It’s a clever move to name the tavern after our friend nimbleharbor46. Carl Rivera43, I honestly didn't think you had much of a creative bone in your body when it comes to stuff for the ladies, but you actually surprised me with this one.

We all know it. Plus, nimbleharbor46 is in her prime; to those of us in Washington, D.C., she’s even more attractive than someone from Florida. She’s been pretty open about wanting to find a boyfriend on a few different threads. I’m not trying to beat around the bush—it seems pretty obvious given how we all interact with her.

Probably not, since I’ll be out picking organic, pesticide-free plums all weekend.

To be completely honest, I’d actually prefer if it was just the two of us. I want you to feel comfortable hanging out with the guys, but my comfort zone is a bit different. If I show up to a group of four or five people, my main motivation is really just seeing you.

Donna, why specifically this group from the subforum? Do you really feel like you have the most in common with everyone here?

Carl Rivera43, I really hope it isn't true what that guy said—that you're actually stealing the spotlight from the kids.🤣

I should grab a few beers with Donna.

Now, just imagine if someone else had reported this post—someone whose motives you wouldn't immediately question—rather than Jamie Bishop29.

In that scenario, I wouldn't even comment. You’re such a prominent figure on Reddit, and watching your evolution toward taking down the moderators is actually quite entertaining; I see analyzing your case as a bit of an attraction. This isn't just about the comment regarding Hitler; it's clearly tied to your desire to unseat ball and slypuma12 from their positions by using examples like this to validate your stance against them. Phinkal's statement was pretty vague; personally, I wouldn't have phrased it that way for fear of getting banned, but looking at it from a moderator's perspective, I'm not sure if it warrants a sanction since it's so general.

To put it simply, if I weren't interested in your psychological profile and the path you're taking here on the site, I wouldn't bother commenting at all. Besides, I'd probably leave ball and slypuma12 alone. Not many people would want to deal with the nightmare of managing that mountain of threads and usernames, yet they seem to handle it well enough.

If someone respects Hitler's discipline and work ethic, I don't have an issue with that. But if they support slaughtering anything that isn't Aryan, then I’m going to oppose them to the fullest. I guess A Ball and Wacky will decide what Phinkal actually meant by this. Personally, I wouldn't dare go so far as to say I love or dream about Hitler.

For example, if I were to say that Ante Pavelić was a good husband and father, yet also fascist garbage, what would you say? Would you claim I support him or not?

Any blatant glorification of that stuff isn't going to fly without consequences, believe me. But why are you so preoccupied with how the mods will react to other people's posts if they haven't actually handed you a ban? It seems like you're just bitter toward DiK and desperate to see ball and Wackyja ousted, but I don't get why this specific topic weighs on you so heavily. Sure, maybe your personality and theirs just don't mesh, but we all deal with that on certain subforums. You just learn to watch what you say and don't post every single unfiltered thought that crosses your mind. What’s the big deal?

You've really been on a tear for the last eight or nine months, Misterium. First, it was questioning the moderation over in the Off-topic section, and now you're trying to start a coup in DiK. What's the goal here? You aren't going to force your version of perfect justice on a forum with tens of thousands of users. As long as you aren't triggering any red flags, you don't have to worry about getting banned. And as for other people and their views or ideologies—why does that even matter to you? Also, let's not play the martyr for your guy; he earned his stripes by taking his own risks.

You know I've always been a gentleman and tried to accommodate your attitude and temperament, but this crusade for "justice" regarding the mods is just pointless philosophizing. Honestly, it's getting tedious, and this time, I can't stick up for you.

What was written here is pretty risky; they’re definitely playing with fire.

But why are you being so hard on Dike? Why the intense thirst for justice on this specific subforum? This place is packed with different groups and endless threads—errors are bound to slip through the cracks in a chaotic mess like this. Most of what happens here is just lighthearted banter, no offense intended, but it isn't a high-level academic forum like Philosophy or Psychology where everything needs to be taken so personally. Why has this whole moderation issue started weighing on you so much lately, Mystery?

Joshua James9 said:I've already heard enough from them.

Feeling a bit overwhelmed? It doesn't really matter. You need a constant flow of both outside perspectives and your own thoughts, otherwise, you’ll just get intellectually lazy. You need intellectual rivals to push you, but you also need intellectual friends to provide motivation when things get tough—people you'd actually fight for.

By weighing other people's perspectives against your own, you can better judge where you stand. After all, isn't comparison the true engine of progress?
How do I delete or deactivate my account? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Just write down a random string of letters and numbers on a scrap of paper, use it to reset your password, log out, and toss the note in the trash. What does deleting a profile even accomplish when all those posts you wrote here over the last few years are still sitting on the server? There’s no "I was gone" or "nothing happened" excuse to hide behind once it's online.
Sam Green73 said:The higher-ups just told me that thread is buried under a mountain of paperwork on my desk right now.

It hasn't been deleted; it's just been sent out for professional dry cleaning.
Apparently, someone spilled something all over it.
I’ll take a look at those stains and get the debate back online as soon as it's ready.

I'm opening up the entire psychoanalytic couch for you.

I'm not so sure a white tablecloth that had two liters of beet juice dumped on it will ever look decent again. It's almost as if they were throwing beet juice at each other while wearing white t-shirts. 🤣
Anyone else here not a fan of Recht? in Off-topic ·
Recht, I don't like you and I never have. I'm just being polite by replying to your posts while thinking the absolute worst about you.
Please ban me in Feedback & Suggestions ·
There will always be a few vultures circling the forum, but don't let one bad thread, a handful of users, or a single sub-forum get under your skin. You might stumble upon an incredible discussion with great people, and you'll hate yourself if you feel like you can't participate for the next two years because of some old drama. If you aren't happy with how things left off in certain threads, just start fresh with a new handle, leave those old conversations behind, and move on to something else. Don't let one topic, five random users, or one specific section drive you away from the entire community. There will always be scavengers flying overhead, but sometimes the eagle flies much higher than they ever could.
