I’ve got this nagging feeling deep down that the Ferrari fans actually hold Alonso in higher regard than they do Kimi Räikkönen.

And then there's the whole obvious thing where overtaking in Monaco is basically impossible, so the guy out front (which was Kimi here) basically gets to dictate the entire pace of the race. I mean, Kimi is such a seasoned veteran

Out of all the Ferrari fans I know (and trust me, I know plenty, mostly because I love poking the bear😍), not a single one prefers Alonso over Kimi. And they all pretty much agree that Grandpa isn't even worth a mention.☕

Out of all the Ferrari fans I know (and trust me, I know plenty, mostly because I love getting under their skin 😍), not a single one respects Alonso more than they respect Kimi, and they all pretty much agree that Grandpa isn't even worth mentioning.☕
For me, Renault is easily my favorite team in Formula 1. As for Ferrari, I haven't actually liked them since the 2008 Canadian Grand Prix. Before then, I couldn't stand the sight of them.
I honestly don't even know what to say to your take on Ferrari fans. 🤣

Heh, there isn't much to debate here. You know exactly who joined Ferrari this year and you know who has been with them since 2009.
That tells you everything. And no, I'm not saying this to defend Kimi; I'm saying it because it's the reality.
We all know a car won't be tailored for a newcomer over a veteran driver. That's excluding what Kimi was at Ferrari before he moved to WRC.
So, Alonso has been there since 2009 while Kimi only arrived this year. It’s obvious the car and the crew are leaning toward Alonso.
Just to be clear, I'm not saying Alonso is at fault or less deserving. I'm saying it would be a disaster for him and for everyone else if he were performing worse than Kimi in this situation.
