I’ve already laid out the steps for you—believe me, I don't know how to make it any simpler. Just put in a little effort and pick up a few basics:
1. How to enter a formula and how to drag formulas down in Excel (you'll need this for column B)
2. How to format date entries, which you'll need for column A (and number formatting, since most of these are numbers)
3. The difference between absolute and relative cell/row/column references (just so you actually understand how the formula in column B functions)
You'll feel better once you've solved it yourself with just a little help from us.
You haven't even clarified if you need the results broken down by exact seasons (with specific dates) or if quarterly data is enough. That’s the most important part.
Well, it's not like I'm a total stranger to Excel. 😁
..Honestly, I think I know more than your average user... I use formulas like MAX, MIN, AVERAGE, COUNTIF, and SUM every single day, along with tables and charts. But for some reason, I always hit a wall when dates get involved. 😁
I managed to handle quarters just fine. The logic involving just months makes sense to me, but everything gets messy once dates come into play. At that point, a simple COUNTIF isn't helpful because it only looks for one criterion...
...I set this challenge for myself: building a table that outputs results by season. That's where I got stuck. 😁
..And I'd really like to learn this, since I'll inevitably need it for work eventually. 😁

Not at all, I don't mind waiting if you're willing to put the time in. Thanks in advance.
