I suppose I misspoke there; I don't follow them closely enough to be certain, though I recall they haven't really been much of a topic of conversation lately.

If they brought out two more bands like this, then $133
would actually be worth it.

Edit: Honestly, the peak years were 2008, 2009, and 2010...

I mean, seriously? The organizer for the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival doesn't even know who M83 is.

Man, I’d love to go, but Terry already has plans booked. Plus, New Order > The Cranberries (even if I do listen to them a lot). Maybe in some better future.

Well, I suspect M83 will certainly take the stage before Cold Cave even gets a chance to say hello...

From what I can tell, even without a massive title sponsor, the prices are holding steady or even dipping slightly compared to previous years—back when we used to get those little discounts through text promos.🤷

Maybe it’s because our "festival tradition" here is barely six years old? Give me a break.
There’s a massive difference between having a debate and just being a hater.
Look, I’m not saying I’m heading to the festival myself, but let’s be real—there will be crowds there every single year, no matter what.
Then you have the crowd that complains about everything—though I highly doubt they’d actually bother traveling to a massive, legitimate event like Lollapalooza if they had the chance.

Honestly, I think Coachella has turned into an amazing event, and look, we all know every festival attracts its own specific crowd...
It's like how I don't go to Bonnaroo just because some random local band is playing—it's just not my thing...

If someone wants those more "alternative" vibes, they can hit up Apple instead... personally, I love that both Coachella and Apple have such high energy, so I guess I'm just living my best life... 🙂

And regarding the prices, seriously, wtf? Coachella is actually a cheap festival considering who they've booked so far... why all the whining? 🤷

Before anyone sits down with their coffee and starts trashing the lineup, claiming they wouldn't pay even $3.25 for these bands, I already pointed out above that every festival caters to its own audience. 👋

It’s the same old song and dance on these threads every single year—honestly, it gets a bit exhausting. As far as I’m concerned, having The Killers and Franz Ferdinand on the lineup is a massive win. They are two stellar bands, and frankly, if they aren't quite your particular flavor, I don't really see the issue; within their own genre, they’re playing in the big leagues. Of course, everyone has their dream roster—we'd all love a festival headlined by Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, Coldplay, or Radiohead—and the metalheads will inevitably demand their own niche, while the punks... well, they usually find nothing to their liking. But hey, that’s just how it goes; there's supposed to be something for everyone, even if we can't all agree on it.
