At this rate, we should probably start bracing ourselves for a wave of announcements from bands like New Young Pony Club, The Dø, and Human Woman... 🙂

Perhaps we could consider one more heavy hitter for the lineup. If Iggy is our opening act for day zero, and we have the Arctic Monkeys and NOFX taking over the first day—doesn't the second day still feel like it needs a major headliner?

Wait, that much? Are you absolutely certain? Isn't it supposed to be around $150?
That is completely out of my budget if even the student discount for all three days hits $100...
I honestly don't know what I'm going to do; my student ID discount is only valid until February 25th, so I've only got a few days left to decide.🤷

I am honestly at a loss here—my student ID is only valid until February 25th, so I only have a few days left to decide.🤷

It is always the same story, isn't it? That is why, for the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, the only logical move is to grab the festival pass. Otherwise, you are just playing along with giveaways and hoping for the best.🙂

Honestly, you’re better off grabbing the student pass even if you only plan on hitting it for a single day. It’s definitely going to be cheaper than the general admission price. Plus, festival prices always skyrocket as the dates get closer, so you might as well buy early to save some cash.

I have a feeling the turnout is going to be massive this year. Arctic Monkeys 😍

Look $100 for that many concerts, it’s basically free. You wouldn't get a deal like that even from someone like Tony Bennett $33....

Don't bother with a single-day pass—it's honestly not worth the money. If you're going, just grab the full festival pass; otherwise, maybe just sell the wristband to someone else instead.

Besides, if you're only there for one day, I guess you can always find ways to sneak in.

Anyway, $100 the price for a three-day pass is actually ridiculously cheap. I was checking the lineup—Jessie Ware is at 160/$67, Dinosaur Jr. is 120/$47, Sabaton is 160/180, and then there's that damn guy Massimo $42😲

I’m expecting one more big headliner—The Prodigy might leave a gap, or maybe Queens of the Stone Age or The Hives, if I recall correctly... plus some mid-tier band that's somewhat famous but doesn't really matter.

The rest will probably just be filler with all that multicultural nonsense—you know, those desert types or some African act, along with some local "urban" indie bands 😁 playing at 6 PM in 100-degree heat to a crowd of maybe ten people.

How much is the price jump gonna be for festival passes if I wait until May to grab them on-site?

$350 until April 15th.

With student or high school discounts $100 (available through February 25th)

I'm guessing by May we’ll be looking at around $400—maybe up to $450 max.

I was checking out what other festivals are charging—Pinkpop is $165 for three days, Lollapalooza is $200 for three, Benicassim is about £160 for four, and Rock am Ring is around $133 for three. And those are all just the early bird rates.🤣

Sure, those are all bigger than In Musica, but whatever... at these prices, there's no way you'd even pull 2,000 people to a festival here in America.

It's honestly ridiculous to complain about things being expensive locally; Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is only about $40 (early bird

So, I was looking at the map and it says the dates run from April 11th through June 10th $130, plus there's an extra $440 on top. Honestly, given it's a three-day festival, the price is actually a steal right now, even if it doesn't look dirt cheap later on.
I’m really pulling for them to book Queens of the Stone Age; they would fit the vibe perfectly alongside the Arctic Monkeys. 😍

Iggy is playing on day zero, while the Monkeys and NOFX take the stage on day one—which means there’s still a massive gap in the lineup for day two. Don't we need someone truly substantial or even a bigger headliner to fill that slot?

I suppose we might see something decent for the first day too—though I doubt NOFX belongs on the main stage. If TV on the Radio and The Streets were relegated to the smaller setup, I don't see much reason to put NOFX on the big one, I guess.

Your best bet is to grab tickets through Craigslist a few days before the show. Personally, I went that route for $73 myself last year...

I am absolutely certain that NOFX will be performing on the main stage.

I find it hard to believe that Bad Religion would be taking the main stage. Even if they do perform, I suspect they won't actually be the headliners. In my view, they’d likely headline a smaller stage instead, unless a massive influx of new talent arrives and pushes them down the lineup somewhere.

I wonder, will there be two or three stages running this year?

The Monkees are definitely headlining that day; there is no question about it.

swiftmoose20 said:The Monkees are headlining that day—that’s pretty much a given.

There are always two big headliners on the main stage—one starts around 9:15 PM, and the second goes on at roughly 11:15 or 11:30. I suppose it’s obvious The Monkees will be playing around midnight, though maybe some other heavy hitter might slip in before them... while Bad Religion ends up on a smaller stage. Looking back at the schedule from two years ago, they had Cypress Hill, TV on the Radio, and Mastodon almost at the same time on the second day. Three different genres, yet all significant acts in their own right. It seems like this main stage is mostly geared toward the mainstream, which means Bad Religion probably doesn't fit the mold—which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Honestly, the smaller stages can feel more rewarding if you're a true fan and want to avoid the casual crowds.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see. I am looking forward to this year, and I have a feeling it might actually be interesting—provided they don't just bring back Kings of Leon, Editors, or Kraftwerk (they're fine, I suppose, but we've seen them enough). I'm crossing my fingers for The Prodigy, Blur, Wu-Tang Clan, or Motörhead to headline the second day.🙂😵🙂

Hopefully, they've fixed last year's disaster and we'll get a third stage back, instead of that karaoke tent and that criminally bad themed party.

Man, this lineup is intense—Iron Maiden, Down, Pro-Pain, H2O, Arctic Monkeys, Dinosaur Jr., Depeche Mode, Roger Waters, Iggy Pop, Less Than Jake, Justice, Sean Price... plus half the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival roster, along with various other US festivals.🙏🙏

Motorhead never actually announced a farewell tour. They played in Nashville three months ago, and they're hitting Chicago in four weeks.

My mistake!
It looks like I completely misread the situation. If that's the case, I wouldn't mind seeing them at Coachella, though I suspect we might be getting a little ahead of ourselves, don't you think? 🤷
