I mean, isn't that the whole point of being here? To lend a helping hand by sharing our own personal experiences and actually knowing what we're talking about? We aren't here to bicker about couples in this particular thread, so I find myself nodding along with the cowboy on this one; shouldn't this space be treated with a certain level of special respect?

Look, just picture the scenario—you’re in a tennis betting thread and some random guy under the handle "Nalbandian-zna" pops up, claiming he watched Gasquet's last match and thinks he’s playing like trash. Then he goes on about how he’s going to drop $3333 (potatoes, foxes, a Hostess cake...) on him, when in reality, he actually dropped $1.75 and tacked on seven more parlays—two of which he missed just seconds before! He writes this nonsense post just because he's desperate for internet fame and wants people to shower him with praise. And believe it or not, a huge crowd of people actually falls for posts like that.
Yeah, you'll probably tell me, "Who cares? People are idiots for blindly following some anonymous nobody with zero credibility," and honestly? You'd be absolutely right.
But you have to realize that this PDF isn't just for the elite shark bettors; it’s for the general public too.

Anyway, I think you get my point. 😁
Rules have to be applied equally to everyone. Otherwise, you'll have this "Nalbandian-zna" character pointing at threads about "Betting at foreign sportsbooks" and whining about how they allow people to mention stakes while he—poor guy—is being systematically harassed.
That's why it's best if stakes aren't mentioned in any form whatsoever—not even with visual proof, and definitely not using any weird metaphors for dollars or euros.

I hear what you're getting at, but you've gotta understand that we aren't sitting here debating specific picks or who's putting money on what, nor are we doing match analyses. We're talking about betting limits, which has absolutely nothing to do with the example you just threw out there. So, look, I actually AGREE with the rule that you can't mention stakes during MATCH ANALYSES, but when the discussion is specifically about limits, mentioning actual stakes is an ESSENTIAL PART of that conversation. Maybe you moderators could loosen up that rigid rule just a tiny bit and allow us to mention stakes (even if we have to use the "potato" metaphor if you won't let us be direct) when we're discussing limits.

Do you see where I'm coming from?

Anthony Perez55 said:Look, we get where you're coming from, but in cases like this, sticking to those rules makes absolutely ZERO sense... I mean, seriously, what's the point? Posts like this are infinitesimally more informative and actually useful than 90% of the garbage floating around in other threads and posts

I just don't get the inflexibility—why this whole bureaucratic "our hands are tied, it's the rule" attitude?

It’s one thing when people are yapping about placing bets, but here we’re talking about LIMITS; for God's sake, if we can't talk about that, then what the hell *can* we talk about?

You're going to drive all the quality contributors away from this forum if you keep forcing this rigid nonsense, I guarantee you that
if that's your goal, then keep going, you're right on track!

because it's getting fucking exhausting

Exactly!! That's their whole deal—rules that are hard as a rock, if I may be so blunt—and it's going to scare off even the tiny bit of high-quality discussion we've managed to build up here over the last few days. So, honestly, screw the administration and the bureaucracy—USE YOUR BRAINS! Realize that these aren't discussions like "hey man, I dropped three grand on Marina Cilica," these are conversations meant to actually benefit the people reading them.

Look, there’s a massive difference between bragging about tickets you didn't even play and throwing specific amounts around—which honestly should be against the rules—versus actually sharing real experiences regarding limits. I’m guessing if "Nalbandian-zna" shows up here just to talk trash about Gasquet, he isn't going to bother coming to this thread to make up some bullshit story about getting limited 🙂
.
That post above is actually incredibly constructive and solid. If you just tweak two sentences in the PDF rulebook, that post becomes perfectly legal, "Nalbandian-zna" loses his excuse to complain, and his nonsense will still get deleted like it should
.
BTW, dollars and American potatoes 😂

Hey everyone, I could use a little bit of advice from anyone who has experience with this kind of thing

1. Is it possible to transfer money to a Skrill account—or send funds from Skrill—using a standard domestic checking or savings account at JPMorgan Chase, or am I strictly required to use a foreign currency account?

2. Regarding Unibet specifically, is there any potential legal headache if I decide to deposit funds directly from my bank using a foreign currency debit card?
I've gathered that the real issue usually arises when you try to withdraw winnings from an online sportsbook directly back into a local bank account, which is something most people suggest avoiding entirely.

3. Following up on that second point, Unibet also offers withdrawals via Neteller. Is that essentially the same deal as Skrill, and is there any significant difference between the two that I should be aware of when it comes to getting my money out of the sportsbook and back into my own pocket?

1. It certainly could
2. No, it doesn't
3. It’s actually quite similar to using PayPal! Of course, you would first need to make your initial deposit through Neteller just so you can withdraw your winnings using that same method later on. That is simply how it works with every single sportsbook out there, isn't it? There really isn't any massive difference at all; they are all remarkably alike in that regard.

I honestly didn't expect to see people actually arguing over something as trivial as potatoes. hh
That said, Pinnacle offers a much wider variety of markets.
You've got Asian Handicap, 1x2 (including first half), over/under (both full time and first half), corners, team totals, and over/under team totals—which covers most of what you'd want to parlay.
Then there's win with clean sheet, both teams to score (full time and first half), draw no bet, odd/even (full time and first half), team to score (full time and first half), and correct score, though those last ones aren't really suitable for parlays.
Most things basically boil down to a 50/50 proposition, and when it comes to combining bets, it's usually just the goal over/unders and Asian Handicaps being offered, which aren't really adjustable.
The site used to be pretty sluggish, especially during big matchups like Premier League games back in 2016 where you couldn't get a bet in if you weren't ready five minutes early; now, everything is lightning fast. It works on mobile too, though they don't have a dedicated app, just the browser version.
Ultimately, it's a sportsbook built for singles, and they are damn good at it.

Regarding DraftKings, they didn't just pull out of America—it’s pretty obvious from the text why they left, even if the US isn't explicitly mentioned here.

thanks for all the answers!

I just have one more quick question for you guys. When I'm going through the Skrill registration process, they ask whether I plan on using the account for gambling or non-gambling purposes. Which option should I pick so I don't run into any unnecessary trouble right out of the gate?

Why are they even asking that?
I set up another Skrill account a few days ago and didn't see that question at all.
And honestly, what's the big deal? If you're planning to gamble, just click yes and make sure you're over 18.

Most people just go with the card deposit option, don't they?

You really ought to select "yes." Because, if you happen to choose the non-gambling route, you'll find yourself in quite a bind where you can't actually deposit those funds anywhere! You'd be stuck having to send them to someone else, hoping they'll be kind enough to send them back to you before you can finally get them onto the sportsbook. Isn't that a headache?

But if you simply select "yes," everything stays straightforward and you won't have a single worry on your mind!

Can anyone tell me if the live streams are actually working on Unibet? I can't get a single one to load. Is this blocked for us here in the States, or is my browser just acting up?

It works.
You just need to have some cash in your account first.

I’ve got funds in there. I’m using Chrome and nothing. Got the latest Adobe Flash and Java installed too. Still nothing.

Alright, maybe I’m not the smartest guy in the room, my bad.
Everything was working perfectly fine for me when I was betting on DraftKings.
But hey, what do you know? You could always ask their customer support.

How long has it been since you last placed a bet over there? It wouldn't surprise me if we can't access it from the US. I've tried Chrome, Opera, and Firefox, but nothing works.
Is anyone else in the States betting on Unibet? Are those live streams actually working for you?

The stream on DraftKings is totally broken—honestly, this whole sportsbook is a complete scam. I've tried switching between different computers and various browsers, but it's useless. I'm done with them, officially out.🎉

DraftKings are total scammers... absolute trash

A few times now, they've waited until the game is basically over just to decide if they'll actually honor my bet—especially when I'm trying to go way above their pathetic little limits

And of course—I should probably mention—they always seem happy to accept those higher stakes right when the bet is looking like a loser🤣

I'm done with them... won't even step foot near them again, just out of principle

Total crooks

And yeah, let me tell you, they only ever "accept" the higher stakes when I'm clearly about to lose. 🤣

I'm done with them. Won't touch them again. Principle of the thing.

Total crooks.

It’s obvious they treat us like second-class citizens here in the States since they won't even let us access the game streams. 🙂
I highly doubt this doesn't happen in other countries.
I had an account there years ago and thought I'd toss some cash in because the promos looked decent. But now that I see how they operate? Forget it. They can go straight to hell.

Hey everyone, I’m really hoping someone here has the patience and the willingness to walk through this with me. I’ve been trying to map everything out on my own, but I can't be entirely sure if my logic holds up. Since we all try to be as rational as possible with our investments, I figured I'd lay it all out here—hopefully, this helps others too, so please feel free to set me straight if I've missed anything:

1. I currently have a US dollar account at Chase, an account with PayPal, and an account over at DraftKings, all held in the exact same currency. I'm assuming this is basically the most cost-effective way to handle things, since keeping everything in one currency should theoretically prevent any unnecessary conversion fees during transfers, right?

2. a) When I move money from my Chase account into PayPal, PayPal charges a fee of 1.90% on the total amount, but I was wondering if the bank typically hits you with an additional charge for a transaction like that?

b) Once I move funds from PayPal over to DraftKings, what kind of fee does PayPal take? According to the terms DraftKings provides, they don't charge any commissions for deposits or withdrawals back to PayPal, so I'm trying to figure out where the actual cost lies.

c) Does PayPal tack on a fee when I'm withdrawing winnings from DraftKings back into my PayPal balance?

d) Finally, when I'm transferring money from PayPal back to my Chase account, PayPal charges a flat fee of $2.95. I'm assuming the bank won't charge anything extra since there's no currency conversion involved and the funds are just landing directly in my bank account, but I'd love some confirmation on that.
