I'm actually out in Washington, D.C., since that's where I'm going to college right now

And then you'll just be stuck waiting around for someone from Washington, D.C. to finally get back to you

I don't have the patience to read through all this; there are just too many pages... anyway,
is it possible to buy just egg whites in a bottle here (to cook with)? A friend told me they aren't available in the States, though I didn't even know they existed... just pure protein.
To avoid going too far off-topic—I've always done bits and pieces of training, like doing 10x10 pushups for a month, then nothing for two months, and so on. Basically, I took a break for about a year and I'm starting up again. I've been training for two months now. In one month, I was able to do over 300 pushups even though I couldn't do more than 100 before. My dumbbell weights went from barely 20 lbs to 35 lbs per set, the only thing that dropped was my pull-ups—I can't do more than 5 at once. Out of my group of four, two are college athletes, so it's like having personal trainers; we do the same stuff and they make sure the form is right. They tell me I should start drinking protein shakes, but I honestly don't know. Usually, I just come home and scramble 4 or 5 eggs. Eating half a kilo of cottage cheese doesn't make sense when I eat it all in one day. I wrote this out in more detail because I saw in several posts that people prefer more specifics.

Check out Polleo Sport near the intersection of Selden and Oak; they're basically the MVP, though they carry other brands too.

Then there’s Multipower over by the river near Baskier; they sell Warrior, though I'm not sure if they have anything else.

I think there's another Multipower spot near the convention center. I haven't actually been inside, but I see the sign from the bus, so it's probably legit.

There's also ProSport—can't remember the exact street, but it's near the Chase Tower when you turn left off the main road.

And Helix? Pretty sure it's somewhere on Vlaska. I haven't visited, but they seem to carry a bunch of smaller brands.

That's everything I know. There might be more shops out there.

No, I haven't read it. I guess I don't tend to read most of the articles that get linked.

Well, I shared an article outlining certain arguments regarding the dangers of consuming aspartame, and then you sort of came out of nowhere, quoting my own link to claim that aspartame is "irrelevant anyway" and "safe in normal amounts." 😕
So, you don't read the majority of the articles linked about the subject you're discussing? 😕 That seems like a bit of a strange stance to take... 🤷

Has anyone ever actually tried to track down those specific proteins manufacturers dump into milk? Apparently, they source it from some overseas supplier—supposedly there's only one major producer out there... but the kicker is that it’s basically 90% pure protein.🍿

Word is, that's what all the big-time American bodybuilders are drinking...🙂

I don't think I've ever heard of anything quite like that... though, I suppose a whey isolate is also about 90% protein.🤷

As for "those American bodybuilders," I wonder if maybe someone is just trying to sell you something suspicious.😁

Oh, please...

Some guy told me they actually import stuff from dairy companies like Coca-Cola and just mix pure protein straight into the milk...

Basically, it ends up having way more protein than the crap we're buying here...🙂

Henry Evans3 said:Oh, I don't know about that...

I suppose someone once mentioned to me that certain companies, maybe ones that produce milk like Coca-Cola, might just be mixing pure protein into their milk products...

Exactly... Or rather, they might just take that protein, mix it with water, add some coloring, sweeteners, and emulsifiers, and then sell it off as if it were actual milk. 😁

Henry Evans3 said:Generally speaking, there is significantly more protein in those than what we usually end up buying....🙂

I should probably mention again that whey isolate is roughly 90% protein, whereas Inkospor produces a powder that reaches about 95%.

Exactly.😉So that's what we're calling "milk" now...🤣

Are those isolates actually worth the price tag?🤔

It really seems to depend on which brand you happen to choose. I guess I've seen quite a bit about it online. 😛

Hey there! So, I'm 19 years old, standing about 6 feet tall, and weighing in at just under 140 pounds... basically, I'm pretty thin. Even though I feel like I'm eating a ton, I just can't seem to put on any weight, which is a bit frustrating. I really want to bulk up, so I was wondering if anyone could offer some advice on how to get there? Specifically, would protein supplements make a difference, and if so, which ones should I look into and how should I be using them? I'd love to hear your thoughts on balancing exercise with nutrition to reach my goal.

Haha, actually, it’s quite the opposite from what I've seen... I eat plenty, yet I stay fit, while there are people out there who barely touch a morsel of food all day and still struggle with being overweight.

Hey, quick question: how many times a day should I be hitting the protein, and when exactly? Is it better right after a gym session or before? I'm hitting the weights three times a week.

Definitely hit them after your workout! You can also mix some in with breakfast or whenever you feel like you're lacking protein in a meal, but honestly, the most important window is right after you crush it at the gym.

So, some people say before, others say after. Who knows?
