Once you crack open the seal and then eventually reseal it, you'll notice the air in your workspace takes on this distinctively sweet, vanilla-heavy aroma for a little while... 😍 Dymatize FTW... 👍

I was sitting right at the border when I popped the hood, and this guy points to a cardboard box labeled PROSPORT and goes, "Protein, huh?..." So I tell him, yeah...

Then he starts digging through the package, lifts up a massive 4.5kg tub, and goes, "Oh man, Dymatize! I drink this stuff too!"😂

Anyway, these proteins taste a little better than the other brands I've tried, so they should be fine...

And yeah, the scent is pretty strong,😂

I have the vanilla one myself, but I’m not really feeling it... I usually just mix mine with milk and skip adding any honey or glucose. Does it taste any better if I add those?

I tend to keep mine on top of my dresser. I think they still give off a scent even when the lid is closed. 😕 My dresser sort of carries this double rich chocolate aroma now, though fortunately, none of my clothes actually end up smelling like it. 🙏

Wait, am I really seeing this? Is this actually happening right now? I find myself staring at my screen, blinking repeatedly, wondering if I’ve somehow misread the entire thread. It feels like we are circling the same drain over and over again, doesn't it? I mean, seriously, can we please take a step back for just one second? We need to look at the bigger picture here. Are we truly going to ignore the fundamental flaws in this approach? It seems to me—and I hope I'm not being too dramatic—that we are ignoring the most obvious red flags simply because they are inconvenient. Why does it always feel like we hit this wall every single time a new topic comes up? Is it lack of preparation? Or is it just a collective refusal to face the music? I genuinely want to understand where everyone is coming from, I really do. But there has to be some logic applied here, right? There has to be a method to the madness! If we continue down this path, what exactly are we hoping to achieve? Just more noise? More frustration? I’m sitting here with my third cup of coffee, trying to make sense of these arguments, and I am coming up empty. We owe it to ourselves to be better than this. We owe it to the process. Can we please, for once, engage with some actual substance instead of just reacting? kaže:
I keep mine stored up on top of the wardrobe. Even when the doors are shut tight, that scent still manages to drift out. Can you believe that? It’s like they just won't stay contained. 😕 The closet itself smells like Double Rich Chocolate. It’s quite an intense aroma! Fortunately, though, that scent hasn't actually transferred to my clothes. 🙏

I don’t have a single one of them left. Not a trace. From my pre-workout to the protein powder, from the amino acids and creatine to the carbs and ZMA... even the stash of protein bars is completely wiped out. My pantry, my kitchen, my entire supplement shelf—it's just empty. Everything is gone. 🤣

I suppose I should address the recent discussions regarding the supplement efficacy, though my mind keeps drifting back to the sheer absurdity of the morning commute on the I-95 this morning—a true test of one's spiritual fortitude, if you will. It seems several individuals have been quite vocal about their dissatisfaction, much like how Nicholas Chavez70 once remarked upon the volatility of the market, yet I find the current discourse somewhat lacking in nuance. While some might argue that the protein blends are subpar, I find myself leaning toward a more measured perspective, much like the way one approaches a complex espresso shot from a local boutique roaster in Seattle. It isn't merely about the raw ingredients, but rather the synergy of the components within the system. I remember sitting in a small café in downtown Chicago last autumn, watching the rain hit the window, and thinking about how we often overcomplicate the simplest biological necessities. We seek perfection in a tub of powder when, in reality, consistency is the only metric that truly matters in the long run. If you aren't prepared to commit to the grind, then all the fancy branding in the world won't save your progress. It’s a blunt truth, perhaps, but someone felt the need to state it plainly. kaže:
I personally prefer to keep mine tucked away on top of the wardrobe. Even when the doors are shut tight, you can still catch that scent lingering in the air. 😕 The closet itself carries this distinct Double Rich Chocolate scent, which is quite pleasant enough, I suppose. Fortunately, though, that aroma hasn't migrated to my clothes, so I don't walk around smelling like a Hershey’s bar. 🙏

Perhaps you didn't actually secure them properly? I mean, it’s one of those things that seems straightforward until you’re standing there staring at the latch, wondering if it truly caught, much like when I was trying to fix that old fence in my backyard outside of Austin last summer—you think it’s tight, then a gust of wind comes along and everything just falls apart. It might be worth double-checking the mechanism. 🤷 Perhaps you’ve spilled a little something somewhere... 😁 To be perfectly honest, I find myself quite enamored with the scent of protein powder; there is something about it that truly captivates me, to the point where I occasionally feel an overwhelming, almost primal urge to simply scoop it up with a spoon and consume it all at once. 😂

I am, I suppose, being mindful of that.

Nicholas Chavez70 said:I suppose you might have spilled a little bit of something somewhere... 😁

Not at all. I tend to be quite observant, and I think I would have noticed if that had happened. 🤔

I guess the scent is just so incredibly strong that it seems to be seeping right through the packaging itself. 🤷

Christian Harris2 said:Actually, I am being careful about that.

No. I am paying attention. And if something had happened, I certainly would have noticed. 🤔

The thing is, the scent is just incredibly pungent; it practically seeps right through the packaging. 🤷

Check the container to make sure there isn't a leak somewhere... 👍 Personally, I truly cannot fathom why anyone would bother with these massive bulk containers that look like they hold enough house paint to cover a suburban mansion, only for you to open them up and realize they are barely half full... 🙄

I've never tried it without the glucose. Honestly, if you mix it with milk, some glucose, and throw it in an electric blender, it's incredible. It ends up tasting just like melted ice cream. 😁

We ended up going with the MVP Pro Whey in cookie flavor after all. The Dymatize stuff didn't come in a large enough tub, so we spent forever comparing options before finally pulling the trigger on the MVP. 😢

I’d actually give those Dymatize ones a shot, especially if they have a strong vanilla scent. 😍

Honestly, most of this stuff is just way too sweet for me 😳, particularly when you mix it with milk, two scoops of glucose, and some honey. It becomes an absolute sugar bomb.

Everything else usually tastes way too sweet for me 😳, especially when you mix it with milk, two scoops of glucose, and some honey. It becomes a total sugar bomb.

Just grab the unflavored version from Dymatize. There are no sweeteners in it, so it isn't overly sweet.

Tried out some damn cookie mix the other day—honestly, it’s pretty decent. You don't even need to mess around adding extra stuff, just toss in some milk or water and you're good to go. I've always had a massive sweet tooth, so I don't really mind the sugar hit 🙂

I personally tend to mix mine with some brewer's yeast; most people find the combination a bit too much to stomach, but it suits my palate just fine... 😍

Is anyone else here using Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey? I’m feeling a little uneasy about the packaging—it seems a bit off because there isn't a proper nutritional breakdown listed. It just specifies the amino acid profile and, strangely enough, there's no expiration date visible... unless, of course, they tucked it under one of those secondary labels??!

I wonder where you picked that up?

Christian Harris2 said:Where'd you grab that?

It's actually solid whey, made right here in the States, and the price is super reasonable. It’s about 70-75% concentrate. You should be able to find the expiration date on the bag if you bought the pouch version.

For the Starbucks—you just order over the phone or via email. Just Google Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey and you'll find their site. Honestly, it's the cheapest whey you can find in America, unless you count driving across the border to grab stuff.

I used it for a whole year, but my budget is a bit tight right now so I had to switch things up. Overall, though, I've had nothing but good things to say about them!

I used it for about a year, though my budget is a bit tight right now to keep up. For the most part, I've had nothing but good things to say about them.

I'm actually familiar with that whey; I didn't ask because I didn't know it, but thanks anyway.
And yeah, I know where to pick up the 4.5kg tub of Dymatize for $200, I'm just not entirely sure how reliable they are since they're basically just some guy 😁 importing stuff.

I guess I was wondering if anyone else here has dealt with supplement resellers like that, and if you found them to be trustworthy? 😕

And yeah, I know where to snag that 10lb tub of Dymatize for $200, I'm just wondering how legit these guys actually are (basically just some random guy 😁 selling out of his trunk).

Has anyone here ever dealt with supplement hustlers before? What was your experience like? 😕

Most of those guys are just driving up from Mexico, grabbing stuff from Prosport and bumping up the price a bit to cover gas and make a quick buck. If you check the classifieds on some local fitness forums, you'll see plenty of them. Honestly, since they've been doing this for so long, it's probably pretty reliable.
Personally, once I save up enough cash, I'll probably grab that 10lb tub too. It's definitely the best bang for your buck.

Well, if you're actually staying consistent with your protein intake, then yeah, it's definitely worth it... which is why I ended up grabbing the 10lb tub myself.

So, here’s the deal: there’s this one nagging thought that keeps me from actually pulling the trigger on buying any supplements... if anyone here actually KNOWS the answer, I’d love to hear it. 😕

It seems like almost every protein powder these days is loaded with some kind of amino acid blend. My concern is how the body handles that. Since the human body can pretty much adapt to anything, I’m wondering how it reacts to a constant influx of exogenous aminos?
Does the body eventually realize it's getting everything it needs for digestion from an external source and just... stop producing its own? (The reason I’m even stressing about this is because of testosterone🤷🤷🤷)
