I won't get sidetracked by my own deep-seated opinions on Multipower and their overall product quality right now, 😬

I'd actually love to hear your take on Multipower and how you feel about the quality of their whey protein.
I'm guessing you aren't exactly a fan, so if you have a moment, could you walk me through why?🤷

Please, feel free to set me straight if I’ve misread the situation here:
regarding post-workout nutrition—supposedly, one needs twice as much dextrose as protein... currently, my routine involves two scoops of protein—about 60g of powder, which lands at 24g*2=48g of protein—paired with roughly 100g of sugar...
and as for deadlifts—is it more effective to slot those into a back day or a leg day?

it's spot on for glucose levels... maybe throw in some deadlifts whenever you can, it's better for your legs—especially if you're doing lower body work at the same time.

It’s better to split them up... you can actually focus and hit your numbers properly when your legs aren't already shot. It makes a huge difference, especially if you're trying to squeeze in some push-ups during a leg day

I might have missed it in previous discussions, but I’ve been searching through the threads and haven't had much luck finding this specific topic.
Since I am twenty-three and have recently ramped up my training intensity to about four or five sessions a week, I find myself wondering about the best way to proceed.
My primary goal is to tone up my entire physique, though I am particularly focused on developing a firm, sculpted posterior, as there is nothing quite like that aesthetic, is there?😁
It seems quite obvious that incorporating more protein into my diet is essential, yet I feel somewhat overwhelmed by the sheer number of options available on the market.
Would anyone be willing to offer some guidance or perhaps share a recommendation for a reliable supplement? 🙂

Honestly, if you're looking to firm up your glutes, that’s going to depend way more on your actual workouts than on whatever protein powder you're sipping on.

Now, if you still really want to drink them, I guess you could go with some whey right after your session, or maybe just grab a multi-component blend if you're planning to have it during the day—kind of like a quick meal replacement, I suppose.
If you end up buying some, you can probably just ask your gym to order it for you so it's waiting there by your next workout.

So, I'm 23 and I recently started training a bit more intensely. About 4-5 times a week.
)

That's awesome! 😁

You don't actually need protein supplements if you're hitting your goals through regular meals and eating 6-8 times a day. If that’s not doable, then sure, grabbing a shake here and there makes sense. Since you're just starting out, my advice would be to save your money; most powders offer a pretty tiny margin of benefit and feel more like a placebo than a necessity. That is, unless you truly can't manage to eat enough whole foods.

Until then, stick to meat, cottage cheese, whole eggs, and maybe some papaya.

I’d probably suggest trying to incorporate more fish into your diet, specifically oily fish. It seems to have great anti-inflammatory properties, and it's packed with selenium, though you'll get different mineral profiles depending on the specific type you choose.

That’s why I lean toward sardines—they tend to have the lowest levels of heavy metals.🙂

Honestly, you can pretty much go with any smaller bluefish. Tuna is the big concern (along with other major predators), though even that depends heavily on where exactly it was caught. Most of the fish we see being caught around here, I'd say, are perfectly safe. Things like mackerel, mahi-mahi, bluefish, barracuda, anchovies, herring, or even scad should be fine.👍

It’s healthy, I guess, but I hate it when her dad throws it on the grill... ends up being way too dry and full of tiny bones 🙂

I find the Optimum Nutrition Vanilla to be quite excellent. It isn't overly sweet or artificial, and I particularly appreciate that the consistency isn't too thick or excessively foamy 👍

Could use a hand with something...
Thinking about picking up some protein... I'm just starting out, 18 years old. 😁
Found this site with some decent deals, but I'm honestly stuck on what to grab.

I can't really make sense of this link—it looks like a broken URL or just a dead end. If you were trying to show me a specific protein supplement or a deal, try sending the direct product page instead.

What do you guys recommend for a beginner?
Or if there’s another solid site out there... 🙂

If I were 18 again and actually had the time, I wouldn't be throwing money away on protein powders. Just stick to meat, dairy, and eggs. It's like fuel for a car—just keep the tank full with real food.

I noticed that shop is located in Denver. Where would I be able to pick something up like that in a city like Chicago?
Since I'm just starting out myself, I don't exactly have the luxury of time to obsess over hitting high protein targets every single day, though I am certainly looking to improve my current situation.

I'm not really sure. They should probably double-check. I actually had to head over to the Midwest to pick some up from them last time.
