Oh, right 👎, my bad! I totally missed that. Look, just make a copy of that document first (just in case you end up losing the original), then try converting it to something else—like a PDF or whatever—and see if you can pull a JPG out of that. If that doesn't work, then honestly, there isn't much more I can do for you. Sorry!

You can also just copy and paste directly into Photoshop and save it as a .jpg

I tried that, but when I move it over to Photoshop, it doesn't seem to recognize the font or the image layout from Word, so everything just ends up looking blurry... :S

Maybe if someone knows a program that can export directly to a JPG? It shouldn't be too hard to put together :S

Here’s something else that might help: http://pdf.my-addr.com/free-online-p...pg-convert.php => converting PDF to JPG

The PDF is just super blurry... I've got such a tiny issue here, but it's going to totally wreck my workflow!

I tried that, but everything comes out blurry in JPG format :S I'm honestly at a loss here.

I just tried converting my file from Word to PDF, and while the fonts and images look perfect—exactly how they did in Word—there are these weird, blurry little boxes appearing across the last third of the page. Ugh, what a headache!

Just search Google for "free online Google Doc to PDF converter" or "PDF to JPEG converter"—you might actually stumble upon something decent. You could also just download pdf writer, which basically acts like a virtual printer, letting you turn any Word document into a PDF directly. Honestly, if you want, you can just send me that file (shoot me a DM and I'll give you my email), and I'll convert it to a PDF on my end to see if it looks better for you!

Thanks to everyone for the help, but I actually don't need it anymore since I found an awesome converter...

Shame on you.
People actually take the time to help you out here, then you just solve your problem with some "killer converter" and don't even mention which one? You're leaving everyone else who might run into the same issue hanging. Seriously, have some decency 😉

People are genuinely trying to help you out here, then you just claim you fixed it with some "magic converter" without actually saying what it was. That doesn't help anyone else reading this who might run into the same issue. Come on. 😉

Sry Kyle http://download.cnet.com/Free-Word-D...-10869109.html Here you go, give this a download. I didn't realize you were having trouble too! :S

Can someone help me out? I'm trying to figure out how to set double spacing between paragraphs in Microsoft Office. Is it one of those settings in the paragraph options, maybe 12, or more, or less? 🤷

Thanks in advance.

I don't personally have an issue,
but someone else might. If we're talking about it, we might as well find a fix.

Try tackling this using this tutorial
Ordering in Word

Thanks, I actually stumbled on that tutorial earlier, but I'm not sure if 12 pt is double spacing? I can set individual spacing, but I don't know what "12" actually means. It feels like double spacing, but I'm not certain...

Does anyone happen to know how to set up a bookmark in Word and then make sure it actually works when you open the file as a PDF?

casualbear17 said:Thanks, I actually stumbled upon that tutorial a while ago—but to be honest, I'm still feeling a bit lost with it. Is 12 pt considered double spacing? I mean, I guess it depends on what you're actually looking at—whether we're talking about font size or line spacing—but if you're asking if a 12 pt font automatically means you have double spacing set up, the answer is probably no. In most standard American word processors, like Microsoft Office, those are two completely different settings. You can have a 12 pt font with single spacing, or even tight spacing, and it wouldn't be "double" at all. It’s a bit of a nuanced distinction, I suppose, but usually, when someone asks about double spacing, they're referring to the paragraph settings rather than the point size of the characters themselves. I mean, I can certainly figure out how to set up any given range, but I’m honestly second-guessing myself on what twelve actually represents—it feels like it should be a double, but I guess I could be wrong about that.

When we talk about creating double spacing between paragraphs, what we’re really talking about is hitting the enter key twice at the end of a block of text. It’s a simple enough concept, I suppose—if you have your font set to size 12, then that gap effectively measures out as 12 points. However, if you happen to be working with much larger text—say, a massive size 48 header—then that space scales accordingly to become 48. It might seem like a minor technicality, but I guess it's worth keeping in mind when you're trying to maintain a consistent layout. 🙂

It really all boils down to how "smart" the software you’re using to generate that PDF actually is—it’s a bit of a toss-up, I guess. If you're using something high-end like Acrobat, it handles things quite nicely and converts those bookmarks into functional hyperlinks without much fuss. But if the program is subpar? Well, then you might be out of luck.

..hey there!

Word 2010 - Styles

Does anyone actually know how to fix this—where I create a custom style in one document, but then it vanishes when I open a fresh one? I need to know where in the options I can set it so my styles carry over to every new document I start.

..I've been digging through the menus... absolutely nothing... 🤷

..I looked for it myself... honestly, no clue... 🤷

Essentially, every single document you open is tied to one of Microsoft Office's templates. Unless you manually change things, the default template is always called Normal. Now, the actual filename and where it's tucked away on your hard drive will vary depending on which version of Word you happen to be running.

Any styles you define within a specific template will be available in every new document that relies on that template as its foundation.

Nicholas King said:A double space between paragraphs just means hitting 🙂 twice at the end of the block. If you're using size 12 font, it's 12 points. If it's size 48, then it's 48.

It all comes down to how "smart" whatever software you're using to generate the PDF actually is. Acrobat handles turning bookmarks into hyperlinks without breaking a sweat...

Thanks a ton 🙂!

Hey guys,

So, I have this specific cell (G19) that I’ve been using to calculate an "Average"—for instance, by using =AVERAGE(G12:G17)
Right now, my Activecell F19 is selected. What I'm trying to do is take an integer (let's say 200) and divide it by the value in that G19 cell, then save that result directly into F19—but here's the catch: I want the actual formula to remain visible within cell F19 itself. I might have overcomplicated things a bit in my explanation, so I really hope you can follow what I'm getting at. I was attempting to use formula R1C1 to get it done.

As far as I'm concerned—and I say this with all due respect to his intentions—you're just wishing on a star. 🙂
