Here’s my take on the issue mentioned above; I reinstalled Windows 7 using an active ISO burner at 2x speed (I could have gone with 1x, but I didn't feel like waiting around), and it WORKS! So, if anyone runs into those installation errors—you know, the "missing files" or "damaged files" messages—just burn the disc again at 2x speed and that's IT! Thanks, everyone.

Wait, isn't the latest one supposed to be Build 7000??? Or are we already looking at an RC1 version here??? 🤔 Are there any major shifts or noticeable improvements when you compare this to Build 7000?

Right now, just some slight improvements to the update support.

I noticed there are versions for both Windows 7 Build 7032 and Windows 7 Build 7034 out there, but I can't seem to find a way to actually download either one... at least, I haven't had any luck tracking them down myself.☕ 🤷

http://news.softpedia.com/news/Leake...2-104197.shtml

By the way, has anyone had a chance to test if you can perform a standard upgrade from Build 7000 to build 7022 or even up to 7034? Or is it one of those situations where you're forced to go through a completely clean installation?

There’s also 7055 available for us testers 🙂

As for me, I am still hanging onto Build 7000...🙂 Is there any way to find a download for it somewhere online?😬

I'd drop the link if I could, but I'm trying to play by the rules here, so I won't be posting it just yet...
Hang tight for a bit. Honestly, 7055 is basically sitting at RC1 status already.

Tried upgrading from Build 7000 to build 7022. Everything seemed fine at first, I thought I was in the clear, but then I logged into Windows and got hit with this message:

"This version of Windows could not be installed

Your previous version of windows has been restored, and can continue to use it.
Before trying to install this version of Windows again, check online to see if it is compatible with your computer. Go to Microsoft website (www.microsoft.com) and search for "upgrade advisor" 🙄

Well... I really don't feel like doing a clean install, so I guess I'll just stick with Build 7000 until the final Windows 7 release, unless some random issue forces my hand into a fresh installation before then.☕

Has the full version of Windows 7 actually been released yet? I know tons of people have been downloading the beta builds, but has the final version officially dropped? If not, does anyone know when it's actually scheduled to hit the market?
If it is out, has anyone seen a Bug report, an Enter article, a PC World feature, or maybe something in Computerworld that gives a complete breakdown of what the full version looks like? I'm looking for a deep dive on all the specific improvements they've made compared to Vista...

If it is out, has anyone seen a complete overview or a feature breakdown in a tech magazine or maybe a site like PCMag or CNET detailing what the full version looks like and how much it actually improves upon Vista?

The full release isn't out just yet. We're all waiting on RC1 now... which should be arriving quite soon...🙂

They ran beta reviews in the last issue of PCMag and Wired, but I haven't seen anything else.

It’s hard to wrap my head around it—Vista hasn't even fully hit its stride yet, and we're already hearing about Windows 7 arriving.

Anyone else running into this right after booting up? Any quick fixes? It pops up on me basically every single time!

I’ve dealt with this far too often myself... I haven't been able to pin down the exact cause, but I'm telling you, it’s almost certainly some kind of Bug in Windows 7...

It's likely just some specific software running in the background that I happened to have installed back then, just like you do now, which is why it keeps happening...

I was wondering if anyone could help me out because I’m feeling a bit lost here... is Windows 7 actually a full, finished version? Some guy I found on Craigslist installed these Windows files for me, and now my whole computer is just acting up constantly. Like, the sound quality is terrible, my webcam won't work at all, and he installed Opera for me, but it won't even load a single webpage! On top of that, Mozilla and Firefox just freeze up on me every hour or so, it's driving me crazy. And looking at things now, it seems like the actual final version isn't even out yet? Honestly, I feel like such an idiot because I gave this guy cash through an online ad and he didn't actually fix anything—he just left me with a mess. My system only has 533 MB of RAM, so I'm wondering, maybe that's why everything is so slow? Please, I don't really know much about computers, so if you could just explain what I should do next... I originally wanted to go back to Windows XP since that's what I used to have, but then a virus hit that machine, so instead of XP, this guy shoved this Windows 7 stuff onto me. I guess I'm even more of a fool for agreeing to it in the first place, but seriously, can someone tell me if Windows 7 is even any good in the end?

It’s likely some background app—I had the same setup you do—so that was probably the culprit...

P.S. Even with that, I still have to wait like 3-5 minutes after booting up before my internet actually kicks in, which is driving me nuts! And about the software... it's not that, I haven't even installed Office on Windows 7 yet!

Go somewhere else to troll...☕

I really have to wonder who the idiot is in this story, considering you find it too hard to learn how to install standard Windows, yet you're paying people for such nonsense...☕

Honest advice: just stay away from computers... they aren't for you...

God... anyone can get online these days...🙄

It’s garbage because it’s just the Windows 7 beta. Wait until the official release comes out before you buy it; honestly, you're better off just using Vista for now.☕

You haven't even tried Vista or Windows 7, so maybe you should just stay quiet...☕ Windows 7 was already better than Vista while it was still in beta... I guess if you actually read this whole thread, you'd see plenty of people agree.

It’s quite simple: just install KIS. You won't need any other firewall or anything else, though you might eventually want Malwarebytes
