If you’re actually receiving the update, everything will pull through automatically. You'll end up on the exact same version as if you had just manually installed 7032.

Wait, so why is my Windows 7 actually showing DirectX 11??

I was wondering if there are any substantial differences, significant performance boosts, or perhaps some entirely new features tucked away in version 7048 when compared to the 7000 series... to put it simply, would you say it’s actually worth the effort to go through with the installation of version 7048? ☕

Can someone please grab a screenshot of the latest beta? Every single version I find online is 😕

I'm specifically looking at the taskbar because, honestly, it's twice as clunky as the one on macOS

Everything seems to be running fine for me so far, though I have noticed that not every single application is working properly...

I’ve also been looking closely at the taskbar, and honestly, it feels like a step backward compared to how things were handled in Windows Vista...

Actually, I have to disagree there—it's easily ten times better than it was back in the Vista days...☕ Everything feels much more intuitively organized now, they've introduced some really solid new features, and even if it's just a minor point, the aesthetic is definitely an improvement over the old interface.☕

It's definitely an improvement, just not from a purely aesthetic standpoint.🤷

Does Windows 7 even have a sidebar?🤔

Hey everyone,

I’ve got a bit of a headache regarding Windows 7. I’m running the latest beta, but I’m hitting a wall with my old rig—basically, I can't get the installation to trigger right at bootup. It seems like the only way I can actually get things moving is by booting straight into Windows first... which defeats the whole purpose. Does anyone know how I can actually kick off the Windows 7 installation right when I power on the machine? I'm stuck in this loop where it just won't let me initiate the install from the startup screen.😕

Did you actually download the bootable ISO?

I'm looking at the taskbar specifically—it’s twice as bad as what they have on Vista.

I'm running the full 64-bit Windows 7 (not a beta) and I haven't had a single issue. Everything works perfectly. You can pick it up locally here in the States...

😂😂😂🤣

Come on, post a screenshot so we can actually see what this "full" version of Windows 7 looks like in action...😂🤣😍

If we're looking at what's currently available, the latest build is 7048...☕

Do I really need to ask if you're full of it?
Give it a rest and stop trolling already.

And why the heck am I seeing "3.25 GB usable" out of 4? Shouldn't my system be actually using all 4 GB of RAM?

Are you running an x86 or an x64 version of the operating system?

My bad...
People told me it was just a beta after all (though I didn't catch that anywhere).
I figured it was the full release because of the registration process. Anyway, here's a shot after registering. It's a bit blurry, but hopefully you can make out what it says.
I wasn't trying to brag or anything. I just assumed based on how things looked...🤷

🙄 You really need to be running the x64 version if you want to actually make use of all 4 GB of RAM and anything beyond that...🤣
