Windows 7

If you need to strip Windows 7 from a dual-boot setup where you're running on a CPU, this is the most effective method. While logged into the CPU environment, insert your Windows 7 DVD and execute the following command in the run prompt: x:\boot\bootsect.exe /nt52 ALL /force. Once that is complete, reboot the machine, format the partition where Windows 7 was residing, and you will find three leftover files on your C: drive: boot.BAK, bootsect.BAK, and bootmgr. You can safely delete those. Note that the last one might be locked by the system, but there are plenty of utility programs available to force its removal.

I have tested this personally and it works perfectly; however, I cannot vouch for the efficacy of combining it with fixboot or fixmbr.

Are you seriously trying to run the installation straight from the BIOS?? 😕 🙏 😂

Just launch the installer from within Windows and make sure you select the custom install option. You really need to ensure there is at least 10GB of free space on the partition if you want the installation to actually go through smoothly... 👍

Well, I finally stumbled upon a piece of software that just won't work... alcohol 120 %

I’ve got plenty of storage space left, but I think I really messed things up—my PC is hanging during the boot process. I just get a dark screen, and there's this little white box that says "Start Windows Normaiiy in 30 sec." Once that timer runs out, it tries to load Windows, but then it immediately jumps to a blue screen that flashes a message saying "a problem has been detected..." before vanishing just as fast. It keeps looping like this over and over again. Any idea what's going on?

Is there any other way to get this working? I need a virtual drive to install a specific program, but Daemon Tools just won't cooperate...

I've already installed it myself...

Nero 9.2.6.0 Ultra. It runs perfectly fine, at least from what I've tested... 👍

Just to add my two cents, I’ve found that CaTIA V5 R16 runs quite stably, and the startup time is significantly snappier... it shaves about five seconds off the usual loading process. 👍

I've had bad experiences with Nero since a few years back... and ever since, I haven't put Nero on my PC... it bit me...☕
I've been using Ashampoo Burner until now and was pretty happy... 😍 just don't know if it'll work now... I guess I'll have to test it and see...☕

Look, the eighth version works just fine.

I was trying to get MSN up and running on this Beta Version, but the whole thing just hit a massive wall and completely froze up on me... everything went totally unresponsive, forced a restart, and then I'm right back where I started. Honestly, I just didn't have the patience to go hunting for what caused the error.

MSN seems to work fine for me... no errors at all. I use it daily and haven't run into any issues so far, I suppose.☕

I'll take your word for it... because over here, the installation finally wrapped up, and now my mouse is just a useless plastic brick that won't budge an inch.
