Forty days. No gym, nothing but burgers, cookies, and pizza. Just lounging around, glued to my laptop and gaming all day. Between various responsibilities piling up, I haven't even had time to eat a decent meal. I’ve never had more gut than I do right now—definitely the worst shape of my life.

When did I even get this old?

Comparing how things were back in 2009 to right now.

Honestly, I’ve completely surprised even myself. 😁

One particular female user on this forum is to blame for all of this. 😈

edit:
And here’s what things looked like back in 2011...

Here’s my little contribution to the thread.

Ten years of volleyball, a brief stint doing Capoeira, back to volleyball again, and now I’ve been hitting CrossFit for about four or five months.😍

I don't have any photos of my back or arms handy...

I’m happy with where I am. The goal is just to keep progressing with the training and focus on strength—trying to lift heavier.

So, I’ve never really been the athletic type; mostly just lounging around and eating too much. 😁

Back in March, I decided enough was enough. I started with Insanity just to get my baseline health up, kickstart my metabolism, and prep for P90X. For both months, I stuck to an 1,800 calorie diet—roughly 30% carbs, 50% protein, and 20% fat.

I'm 6'0", started out somewhere between 190 and 195 lbs, and I'm 32.
Ended up at 172 lbs (currently down to 165).
In the middle of month two of P90X right now; I'll snap a photo once I'm finished. 🙂

After a solid week of hitting the gym hard, I'm feeling pretty much ready for this summer 😁

Alright, I guess there would be plenty more impressive physiques and happy endings around here if I didn't have to go and ruin the streak 🙂

My current "shape" (about 194 lbs).

And this was last year, my first real cut (around 175 lbs). Man, those were the days.

Here is my progress so far.
It feels a bit awkward for a woman to be posting progress photos right after placidtiger21, but here we go, God help me 🙂 and yes, obviously taken with a touchscreen just like everyone else claims to do.

I've been hitting the gym for about 5.5 months now, after nothing for nearly 15 years.🙏time:

The quads.

Lower back and the glutes.

Shoulders and biceps.😍

I’m not going to post the midsection until I get my body fat down to the 17-18% range. My back has made some great progress too, but I just can't seem to get a good angle for the photo.

👋

edit: looking at it again, I can kind of see the muffin top in that first photo, haha. Oh my.

I wasn't quite sure what I was supposed to be doing here 🙈

Here are two more photos of that "problematic" section—though, if I'm being honest, it’s actually my favorite part because there are two really wonderful stories attached to it. I've also included a shot of my legs without any shapewear, since someone suggested that compression gear just hides the reality of things. So, there you go.

That’s everything I have to share regarding the photos. 😁

I’ve been wanting to post a shot of my body as a whole for a while now, but I didn't have a decent camera handy (not that I’m exactly a pro photographer 😬) so here it is, finally. Full body view.
(Link to the high-res photo)

And my back, which shows all those old injuries from years of playing volleyball—my right arm is definitely more developed from all those spikes.
🙂

image

Over and out (with the photos). 😁

Just a reminder, I’m sitting at 112 lbs. There are days I wish I had more mass, thinking I could probably hit my target weight faster if I were heavier, but honestly, progress is steady and I’m in no rush. If my body decides it wants to pack on more muscle, let it happen. I already have a decent amount for my size.
Feel free to share your thoughts. 🙂

Here’s my transformation. The "before" shot is from about 15 months ago.
Weight difference is basically nothing—I'm sitting right around 205 lbs in both.

Hello, everyone. It’s been quite a while since I last checked in here; I’d almost forgotten this thread even existed. Looking through the recent posts, I see a lot of impressive progress and genuine dedication. Truly excellent work.
As for myself, I’ll post my current status—a work in progress.
My primary objectives are to thicken up my back, tighten the core, and address my legs. While my strength numbers on leg day are actually quite high, they aren't visually keeping pace with my upper body. All in all, I've been putting in the work throughout the summer.
Back in the winter, I was bulking at about 220 lbs, and now I'm cutting down to 205 lbs. I think dropping another 15 lbs by the time fall rolls around would be ideal before I kick off the next bulk.🙂
To keep this brief, here is my current physique.🙂
Please excuse the subpar photo quality; it's definitely not professional grade.🙂

Two years ago I was straight up overweight 😁 so I started running and hitting the gym. Just to be clear, I had zero gym experience before this.

So, I’m just lounging here on the bed when the thought strikes me—why not snap a quick shot from my own point of view? 😁

First time posting on this sub 🙂 I’ve been lurking here for a while, scrolling through the posts and occasionally saving some progress pics.
I recently started CrossFit, and honestly, I can already see the changes happening. 🙂 My main goals? Building a better backside and finally closing the gap between my upper body and leg strength.
Motivation is there, for the most part—my only real weakness is my massive sweet tooth. 😁
