Ronald Green3 said:Thanks for the estimates, ended up selling it for $2,600.

You could've just overclocked that thing to 3-3.2ghz, paired it with an R7 265 or 270, and you’d still have a killer rig.😁

Core 2 Duo EG420
3GB RAM
320 GB HDD
NVIDIA 7900 GS
DVD/RW
ASUS PFB DELUXE
Antec 500W case
Windows 7 Office 2007
Dual-core processor

(Note: keyboard, mouse, and monitor aren't included)
I’d also get the Windows and Office installation media—though, let's be honest, they're definitely bootleg versions.

Is this used rig actually worth anything $167?

Which specific Intel processor are we actually talking about here? For what it's worth, it seems like a pretty solid deal to me.

Donna White30 said:Hey,

I was wondering what a used PC with these specs would be worth:

Core 2 Duo E4200
4GB RAM
320 GB HDD
NVIDIA 7900 GS
DVD/RW
ASUS P5B Deluxe
Antec 500W case
Windows 7 Office 2007

(doesn't include keyboard, mouse, or monitor)

Also, is it actually a good idea to use the pirated Windows and Office that comes with it?

You already posted this on the last thread... 🤷

Maybe around $233 if those corrected CPU and motherboard names are right.

From what I can tell, it looks like HE might actually be able to pick it up—there’s an offer on the table to grab it for $167. 🤔

If I can snag it for $167, assuming the RAM stays at 4 gigs, he’ll let it go for $233
.
The real question—and this is where I get a bit stuck—is whether 3 gigs of RAM will actually cut it for running AutoCAD 2014 and Google Earth... you know, just basic stuff?

Lol, what a piece of junk 😛 It really should be enough for decent performance 🙂

Flo Rida As Ronald Green3 points out:
You really could have just pushed that overclock to around the 3.0–3.2GHz range; if you paired that with an EVGA RTX 3060, you’d still be sitting there with a seriously impressive machine. 😁

It really doesn't matter; the thing was already over four and a half years old anyway.
I’m thinking about picking up something new.

Does this thing even have integrated graphics for browsing or whatever you call it?

Honestly... it isn't its own thing—it's just integrated right into the motherboard. It might be fine if you're just surfing the web or playing some light indie games, but for anything else? Yeah, you can pretty much forget about it. 😁

It’s hard to justify paying extra just for single-core performance if you're mostly browsing the web 😬
but at that price point, it's actually a pretty solid deal...

Honestly, I’d probably just sell it for $50. As long as someone else can make use of 😁

If you're looking for wireless, then sure, otherwise there's a port for a LAN cable right there.

Hey, I'm looking for an estimate on this build if I decide to just toss it out so it stops collecting dust here. 😬

Motherboard: Asrock P45DE
CPU: Intel Core i7-12700K
RAM: 4GB DDR2 (2x2GB) Kingmax (1066MHz)
GPU: ECS 8800GT 512mb DDR3
HDD: 320GB (no clue what model)
PSU: CORSAIR 650W, Corsair RM750x case : NZXT H510
Case: Antec Three Hundred

Can you give me a breakdown by component? Also, how much extra could I get for an EVGA RTX 3060, (FX-785A-CDJ4) Core edition, Dual Fan Cooling?

So $200/$217 are just the CPU, motherboard, case, and RAM. 😬

Everything without peripherals is at least $333.
