It’s definitely pricey... I’ve had the chocolate one before and the taste was actually pretty solid, but I haven't touched the pina colada and I have zero intention of ever trying it. 🙂

But seriously, can someone make sense of the pricing over at Prosport?
For instance, looking at this link, the ON is listed at $99, but as soon as I log in, the price jumps to $115!
Then there's the Elite Whey, which sits at about $70, but once I sign in, it drops to $65.

What is going on there?

Right now I'm weighing my options with the Proforce isolate from Prosport... does Prosport actually have a physical storefront, or is it strictly online shipping? (And yeah, I realize they're based in Canada). If they do have a shop, where is it located?

Kila $83... I don't know—everyone seems to be treating him like he’s some kind of absolute bargain hunter or a walking Best Buy 🤷

Which one? This Proforce stuff is about $35 for 2kg, once you factor in shipping and everything else (well, I haven't actually sat down to dig through the fine print yet).

Nah, I’m not really feeling the Dymatize vibe right now... To be honest, that's pretty much all I've ever touched—before that, I was stuck on some old Weider stuff for years—but I'm actually thinking about picking up some Optimum Nutrition since everyone seems to be raving about it lately. I want to see if the hype is actually legit.

Honestly, I don't understand why people are constantly dragging Scitec through the mud. It’s all just hearsay and "he said, she said" nonsense. Everyone claims to have seen some groundbreaking research, but in reality, they just glance at the sugar content in one single study, compare it to a handful of others, factor in the price tag, and then confidently declare what the absolute best or most cost-effective option is. It’s ridiculous. This is top-tier protein; I don't know what you're all talking about. I've cycled through plenty of brands over the years—everything from Weider and MusclePharm to brands like Optimum Nutrition (which I drank constantly back in the day simply because I heard Filipović 😉 was using it). I've tried Twinlab, but my go-to has always been the Scitec isolate. At the end of the day, the goal is simply to consume protein. All this philosophical debating over which brand is technically 2% superior is a waste of breath; it all leads to the same physiological result. If I pick a more budget-friendly whey, I have more money left over for chicken. If I happen to have extra cash lying around, I’ll just spend it on amino acids throughout the day instead. When it comes to protein, stop listening to the noise and just buy whatever is the most cost-effective and easy for you to drink.

Prosport actually has a shop over in Ljubljana at that huge "Mall of America" style complex they have there.

Dymatize over at Prosport is actually cheaper than their own unflavored isolate.
$65 for 4.5 kg. That works out to exactly $33/kg.

Yeah, those are really my two main options right now. I might just end up grabbing both, honestly, because there are times when I want to mix my whey into something where I don't necessarily want a chocolate or vanilla aftertaste messing with the flavor profile.

So, here’s my situation: I’m 15, just started hitting the gym about three times a week—nothing crazy—and on top of that, I’ve got handball practice three times a week too... so I was wondering, is it actually a good idea to chug some protein shakes right after training, or is that kind of bad for you?????'

They aren't actually harmful. You just have to be careful to make sure you're picking up actual whey protein rather than some high-calorie gainer instead.

It’s not harmful at all, and honestly, I have no clue where people get this nonsense from. Why on earth would protein be bad for you?

Just drink it. It’s good for you. I usually grab some after the gym and after my handball practice too. Just mix some whey with glucose.

Don't you dare ask that—you'll end up with melting palms and a tail growing out of your spine 🙄 😁

But seriously, look—since you're only 15, I really don't think you need to be dropping cash on protein powders. Just eat better—meaning more whole foods that are naturally high in protein. Your body is still in its prime development phase, and you definitely don't need supplements just to hit your growth milestones...

Honestly, look at these vultures—they actually had the nerve to rip me off at the gym because the price list clearly states
4kg of 100% whey protein $195
it's 100% whey isolate $217 weighing in at 4000g
produced by Scitec nutrition

So, honestly, I think it’s actually a pretty solid move to keep taking them—I mean, how much harm could they really do, right?
But hey, what’s the actual recommended dose here? Like, how much should I be knocking back at once? I can grab them super cheap since I've got a massive discount running at my local Walmart, so the price isn't even an issue for me!

The instructions are usually printed right on the label, man.😁

goldenfox24 said:Here is the price list those vultures at my local gym decided to post because of people like you:
4kg 100% whey protein $195
100% whey isolate $217 4000g
manufactured by Scitec

You could have easily found those prices online; regardless, the 100% whey protein has climbed from $585 to $250
while the 100% whey isolate has remained at $217 since it is higher quality. Given the current pricing, the isolate is actually the superior choice; in my estimation, it represents the best value-to-performance ratio currently available on the market, especially if you happen to secure a discount..

At my local gym, the prices for 😁
aren't quite as steep as they are elsewhere. You mentioned that the isolate version is superior, but honestly, I don't see such a massive difference—especially when you consider the value; after all, getting 5 kg instead of 4 kg makes a noticeable impact
. For me, a 500g tub usually lasts about a month

copperwolf112 said:Oat proteins don't contain a full spectrum of amino acids, which essentially renders their biological value negligible. Legumes are also high in protein, though if you're a man, I'd suggest steering clear of soy. Naturally, vegetarians need to combine various plant sources to ensure they get all the essential amino acids through protein breakdown. As for House, 100g of chicken breast yields about 21 grams of protein—some sources claim 16, so let's call it a conservative 18 or 19 grams. Your actual protein requirements depend entirely on your age and activity level, so you really need to be more specific (what's your lifestyle, your age, and what are your actual fitness goals?).

Look, sorry to be blunt, but is it actually possible to achieve a physique like this just by using protein supplements? And more importantly, is this guy's build a result of protein powder or is it purely natural? I'm looking for a serious answer here.

Nah, that thing is basically made of air.

Back then, protein powders didn't even exist. People used to get jacked just by breathing in pure oxygen.
