Man, I am totally broke right now—like, seriously—and I’ve only got enough whey left for maybe two or three more workouts. If I hadn't been such an idiot and just grabbed that Dymatize stuff for $83, I probably could have picked up an extra couple of pounds of gains for $17...

Honestly, $110 for some high-end Optimuvov protein isn't actually that much money, though I get what you mean—it's still a pretty big chunk of change to shell out in one go.

Does anyone have anything available for someone weighing around 375 lbs? If you can help, please shoot me a DM 😉

So, I picked up some whey protein from Pronutrition (those guys out in California, if I’m remembering the name right)...
Basically, this stuff is a nightmare to mix. It just refuses to dissolve in water, leaving me with these tiny little clumps that I have to manually smash with a spoon 🙂
Why does it do that? Is my whey expired or something? (I already tossed the original bag, so I can't check the date, but damn, I only ordered it back in June...)

First, mix it with just a tiny bit of water to make a thick paste. Keep stirring that until every single clump is totally smooth. Once it's creamy, pour in the rest of your water and give it one last stir. That’s how I handle even the most stubborn lumps.

So, I’ve got a shaker—actually, I have four of them, if you can believe it—and honestly, I’ve never dealt with any clumping issues at all.

Look, shaker people, just like briskjackal5 said, they go for about 25 bucks to $10 and suddenly all those damn bra issues just vanish...

Honestly, just grab some protein powder, a quart of milk, five eggs, and some CSO—you’ll start seeing real results in no time. Plus, you’ll save a decent chunk of change while doing it...

Mark Martinez4, I guess you might want to spend a little more time actually reading things instead of just overthinking everything.
Food is obviously the foundation, but protein definitely plays its own part too, I suppose.

Food is the foundation, sure—but proteins definitely play their part too.

Honestly, if you just go out and devour four CSOs a day, you won't even have to worry about protein intake anymore.

Yeah, because you definitely saved money there...

Protein powders are actually a steal when you do the math.

That part about the money is totally off base, though.
Ice pretty much nailed it for you here.

Aaron Lewis7 said:Hey Mark, maybe spend a little more time reading up and a little less time just winging it.
Whole foods are definitely the foundation, but protein supplements actually play a role too.

Whey protein, some people might think it's just some supplement because of how this thread is going, almost like it isn't even part of a standard diet.

I’m talking about the folks who are still new to all this.

protein= protein
It’s become pretty clear to me that people don't quite grasp that "protein" and "bjelancevina" are just two different ways of describing the exact same thing.

Could someone please assist me in putting together a weekly meal plan? I am a soccer player—my schedule is pretty intense, actually: gym sessions in the morning, team practice in the afternoon, and then back to the gym at night. I want to focus on high-quality nutrition alongside some protein or supplements—not looking to bulk up, just aiming for definition.

Man, hitting the gym twice a day on top of a soccer schedule sounds like a recipe for burnout.

Just list out what you're currently eating first.

Honestly, you could just head over to one of those fitness websites, ask a question, and pay them a bunch of cash to whip up a custom meal plan and workout routine for you.

Or, you know, you could just ask a regular here on the forum, like someone super knowledgeable...

But hey, if you're feeling too lazy to actually read through the info available, that's your only real option.
Personally, I’d much rather suggest you dive in and read up, so you can learn how to build your own program from scratch!

Breakfast usually consists of boiled eggs, oatmeal, or a ham sandwich... lunch is typically chicken, lamb, fish, or turkey (mostly red meat)... dinner is mostly just leftovers tossed with some pasta... honestly, my diet is my biggest struggle right now... instead of hitting the gym tonight, I’m heading to a kickboxing class. I need to be in peak condition by summer 2010 because I'm returning to play soccer in the States—so, I really want to take my fitness to the next level. Roughly how much would a program like that cost?
