What’s your take on this?

So, what's the plan now? Honestly, there isn't much left for you to do at this point anyway. 🤷
But seriously, don't let this happen again! 🙂

Well, it certainly is. You might have missed out on gaining an extra few ounces of muscle mass if you had timed it perfectly.
Moving forward, try to stay on top of it, otherwise, you'll find your progress hitting a bit of a plateau.🙄

Have you thought about changing up your training routine? That usually makes a huge difference in progress. What does your current setup look like and how long have you been doing it?

Well, I do combat sports and Kettlebell training.

At home, I just stick to the classics. Push-ups, squats, sit-ups, stuff like that.

As for my diet: I eat plenty of yogurt (for the probiotics), cottage cheese, and mozzarella (lots of protein there, though high in fat, so I eat it with eggs in the morning). For lunch, it’s the standard—mostly chicken breast—and dinner is usually just cottage cheese or some fruit.

Oh, and I'm running low on my Scitech Nutritional Whey protein, so I need to grab more...

A friend mentioned that some of the Herbalife stuff might be better because it supposedly has fewer chemicals??

Anyway, which protein powders do you guys think are actually good, or is it all the same crap? Mine has 22g per serving, which is 44% RDA—maybe I should switch to something with a higher dose??

So, I spend my time training in combat sports and working with the Kettlebell.

As for my diet: I eat plenty of yogurt for the probiotics, some low-fat cottage cheese, and mozzarella. Since mozzarella is high in protein but also packed with fat, I usually just have that with eggs in the morning. For lunch, it’s the classic approach—mostly chicken breast. Dinner is typically just more cottage cheese or maybe some fruit.

So, I’m finally running low on my Scitech Nutritional Whey protein. Time to pick up some new tubs.

A friend told me some Herbalife products are better because they supposedly have fewer chemicals. Is that really how this works?

So, what’s everyone’s go-to when it comes to protein powders? Or is there even a "best" one out there? It’s all the same.Mine have 22mg per serving, which is about 44% of my RDA. Should I be looking for something with a higher dose?

Less is more...

MVP Pro Whey is actually top-tier.😁Added 5.5g of BCAA and glutamine to the meal. Price is solid. $68 Weight is up, taste is solid, and I’m not dealing with any bloating. Not bad.

So, I spend my time training martial arts and working with the Kettlebell.

I just stick to the classics at home—push-ups, squats, crunches, that kind of thing. Simple enough.

In that case—I'm not sure how much benefit you'd actually see from creatine. It might be worth looking into if you’re planning an extended stretch of intense strength training, but otherwise? Probably not. 🤷
Yeah, I’m finally running low on my Scitech Nutritional Whey protein—time to restock.

A friend mentioned that some of the Herbalife stuff is better because it supposedly has fewer chemicals. Honestly? I don't buy it—not even close. It’s just more marketing noise. Everyone claims their formula is "cleaner" than the next guy's, but at the end of the day, it's all processed powders. Just follow the macros and move on.

So, what’s the consensus here—are there actually any decent protein powders out there, or is it all just overpriced sludge? Mine currently sit at 22g per serving, which hits about 44% of my daily requirement. I'm starting to wonder if I should be looking for something with a higher dosage per scoop. Any thoughts?

RDA stands for Recommended Dietary Allowance—basically, the suggested daily amount of protein per scoop. If you double up and take two scoops, you’re hitting 88% of that target, which comes out to 44g total. Honestly, I have no clue who they were actually calculating those numbers for.
Honestly, obsessing over the RDA is a waste of time. You’re better off just looking at the protein percentage—aim for 90% or higher—keep the carbs and sugar minimal, and then... well, just make sure it actually tastes good. That's really all that matters.

I think I need to find a decent drink to grab right after diving to stop my body from breaking down muscle. I’m out there for about 5 or 6 hours at a time, and I don't really eat anything during the dive—maybe a few crackers, some fruit, and a bit of water. Then, there's still about an hour and a half before I can get home and sit down for a real meal. I'm 5'11" and about 143 lbs. I've also started doing some light weight training because I'm hoping to add maybe 20 lbs to my frame eventually.

Scitech Nutritional is absolute garbage.

I mean, does anyone actually want me to just give away this
?
It’s basically full, though it's already open. My brother knocked back a few scoops and decided he was done with it forever. Meanwhile, I’ve moved on to drinking MVP isologic.
Flavor: vanilla
So, if anyone is interested, just shoot me a $17 DM
and I'll toss it in the mail for you. Honestly, if nobody takes it, I'm just worried about watching it sit there and go to waste.

Most likely because, like the post says, it’s basically just junk 🙂
With this whey, if you're trying to drop a few pounds, you're looking at a near-impossible mission 😁 unless you have a lightning-fast metabolism or you absolutely crushed it (😁) in the gym three times over today, so the sugar won't hit you quite as hard.

If anyone wants me to just give this thing away for free, let me know. I was digging through some old links and stumbled back onto this page for the Scitech Whey protein. Honestly, looking at it again, I can’t help but wonder if we all just collectively decided to move on without much of a discussion. It feels like one of those things where everyone knows what they think, but nobody actually sits down to hash it out. It’s funny how certain supplements become these staples in our routine, and then suddenly, the conversation just shifts. You look at the specs, you look at the price point—which, let's be real, matters more than we like to admit when we're staring at our bank accounts after a grocery run—and you realize how much the market has changed since this was the big thing. Anyway, I'm curious if anyone here still keeps a tub of this in their pantry, or if you've all migrated over to something else entirely. Is it still a reliable go-to, or is it just nostalgia talking? I've got my own opinions, obviously, but I'd love to hear if the consensus has shifted. Just a random thought while I'm scrolling through the old archives.

It’s almost full, and it’s wide open. My brother already knocked back a couple of servings and he’s done for the day. As for me? I’m sticking to my MVP Isologic.
Flavor: vanilla.
Look, if anyone actually wants to do this, just hit me up and send it over to my Venmo. $17 I'll just pop it in the mail to him.
I mean, honestly? I’m not even worried about it failing. It feels like it's already been sentenced to total decay.

So, how much is actually left? Like, exactly how much did Mjerica take from you, man?

So, since you all "expertly" understand everything :P — I’m curious about this idea of losing weight through protein. You claim it builds muscle mass, yet some French doctor's diet plan suggests doing nothing but protein and water for five days to drop weight—before transitioning back to a standard diet, naturally. Question: how exactly does one lose weight from protein?🙏

The Dukan diet? Honestly, that’s just a recipe for trouble. I'd steer clear if I were you.

I feel like I need to hammer this home one more time: you don't lose weight because you're eating protein, you lose weight because you're in a calorie deficit.

Alright—let's say I'm not necessarily looking to drop massive weight, but rather tone up—build muscle instead of fat. Basically, don't lose the fat, just firm it up. XD haha😂, so what should my move be?? thanks

Kenneth Robinson85 said:Alright people, since you all "apparently" understand each other so well... :P I’ve got a question for the group. I’m trying to wrap my head around how you can actually lose weight using protein. From what I hear, everyone talks about using it to build muscle mass, but then I come across this diet plan by some French doctor claiming that if you stick strictly to just protein and water for five days, the weight just falls off—though, obviously, you’re supposed to transition back to a more balanced diet afterward. So, help me out here... how exactly does consuming protein lead to weight loss?🙏

And honestly, that doesn't sound particularly great...

So, I’ve been strictly sticking to nothing but fats and proteins for about two days now. But here's the catch—it feels like those nutrients only actually hit me once I go back to eating whatever I want... you know, once I finally hit that carb refill...

Personally, I stick to fats and proteins for two days straight—but then comes the inevitable crash where I eat whatever I want (you know, once those carb stores need refilling).

Look, we’re doing different things here—you're trying to pack on mass, while my goal is just to burn this fat and turn it into muscle. That's it. I have no interest in adding more bulk.🙂😉

Maybe try eating like Michael Rivera63 if you're looking to lean out. Though, honestly, a 2:1 ratio for cycling depletion and loading seems a bit low to me. Can you even hit ketosis that quickly?

😕

I'm cutting fat here.

Wait, how exactly do you plan on "using" fat to build muscle? You actually think that body fat is going to magically transform into muscle tissue?
