Why are you getting worked up? I think Walter was just messing with you.😁

Or maybe it isn't even a yeast infection... could just be an allergy... or Trichomoniasis. I read somewhere that Trichomoniasis can cause
issues that look just like a yeast infection... why haven't you gone in to get tested for that yet?

I sometimes deal with these issues a few days before my period starts... I went to see my gynecologist, but even he couldn't figure out what was going on. After running several tests, nothing came back positive, which is frankly bizarre.😕

However, an intimate wash ended up being the solution... it’s called LACTACYD femina (for daily hygiene).

To start, you should look into being an acidophile to help balance out the pH levels in your vagina. As for the yeast infection, have you ever even heard of Monistat?🙄

Yuppie. My doctor actually told me I should be eating more probiotics. I guess once your immune system dips and things get out of whack, yeast just takes over. Not just grabbing some Nature's Bounty every now and then, but maybe making it a regular part of my diet.

restlesspanther1 said:I've got some inflammation going on right now too, if that even helps... I'm taking Zithromax. 😬

Antibiotics just end up feeding the fungus. Seriously.
By the way, how did you both end up with an infection? I mean, seriously, is his wife a total slut or something?
Life isn't exactly easy when you're stuck in a bigamous mess.🙄
Honestly... I can't help but wonder how those guys in Middle Eastern harems actually handle things.😕
I don't know what to tell you. I'm just sitting here staring at my screen, feeling like a complete idiot. Everything feels like a mess right now. Just one thing after another. Honestly, if anyone has actually figured out how to deal with this nonsense, please let me know, because I'm clearly failing at life today.🙏That's how my night's going.😕 So, I guess I'm officially becoming one of those resident bullies around here... like everyone else. Honestly? My bad. I’m done. I won't do it anymore.

It’s actually pretty common to deal with a fungal infection right after finishing a course of antibiotics...

She said she has SOME KIND OF INFLAMMATION. She didn't say anything about a yeast infection.

And I wasn't aware that genital inflammation was exclusively contracted through promiscuity.

Apparently, I didn't realize you can only get genital inflammation from being a total slut.

Seriously, give me a break...
My son actually asked me last night if "give me a break" was considered rude. 😁
I honestly thought restlesspanther1 was under the impression you could treat fungus with antibiotics...
But if they both have inflammation and they're both treating it... then it's clearly contagious. Using Zithromax for that seems pretty weird to me. 😕

Dealing with blood sugar issues?
Are you constantly popping antibiotics?

Try eating yogurt once a day.
Stick to loose-fitting shorts or skirts. Skip the tights. If you absolutely have to wear them, go with thick leggings or stay with just socks.
Wash down there with water only. (Or maybe a specialized wash if you really feel the need).

Avoid using tampons.
When it comes to pads, steer clear of those ultra-thin ones. Go for something slightly thicker—regular size, changed frequently—or even better, those old-school pads that aren't marketed as "super absorbent." Those high-tech ones can give you a fake sense of dryness.

After you pee, always wipe from front to back.
Whenever you get the chance, go commando in some loose, comfy loungewear.

And definitely go get a Pap smear.

I even switched up my gin, and this is already my third round!
And I've wasted absolute mountains of cash driving from one city to another because apparently "this clinic is better"! They sent me off for swabs and then told me they’re just going to keep coming back?!??! Honestly, I can't deal with this, I swear, those people are such pains in the ass!!!! FUNGUS!!! Just grill it and be done with it... 😁

Screw everyone and everything then, at least you'll have a rough idea where you're catching them from.

I've been fighting this nightmare fungal infection for years and nothing works!
Forget the vaginal tablets, creams, Diflucan, Itraconazole, Ketoconazole, cranberry juice, yogurt, garlic—everything can just go to hell!!!!!!!!

I'm totally hopeless, ladies, just hopeless!
At this rate, I might start making salad out of pure frustration! I've tried absolutely everything!!!!!!! 😁

Please, if you have any actual advice or real-life stories from your own experience, let me know! PLEASE!
I just can't deal with this anymore.... 😢 😢

Thank God, because I've never had to deal with that, though I've heard it's awful! Around here, they have oral pills where you just take three and it seems to clear up... I don't know, though, since I've never needed them myself.

But then again, if both partners have an infection and they're both undergoing treatment at the same time... then the inflammation is clearly contagious. Using Zithromax for that seems like a really bizarre choice to me.😕

He kept going on about "inflammation and bacteria"... Honestly, he doesn't take me seriously at all. He just gives me that dismissive "don't worry about it, just study, don't stress, everything will be fine" routine.😕 😵 🤣

So, you're telling me this whole story about the yeast infection you had during pregnancy—the entire detailed conversation with the OBGYN, the treatment plan, the specific meds recommended—was all just made up?

Before I say anything else... you really need to read placidfox55's post thoroughly...
Specifically the part about blood sugar levels!!!!
It affects you just as much as it affects your partner....

Generally speaking, cut back on the sugar, refined flour, and heavy carbs (pastries, cookies, bread, crackers, pretzels...)...
Think about long-term recovery by following nutritional advice (maybe check out some specialists at the Mayo Clinic) and strengthening your system through vitamins and energy management....

When it comes to dairy, stick to the fermented stuff (yogurts, kefirs....)

That trick with a tampon soaked in acidophilus or yogurt—it works wonders!!! You insert the tampon deep, and then, while you're in a squatting position, apply that same fermented dairy directly to the area... it's incredibly effective.
Obviously, you should have a pad in your underwear at the same time 😁

As for pads... regardless of which brand you prefer, you can always layer the basic ones over them... you know, those simple ones that are basically specialized cotton wrapped in mesh..
Damn, I can't recall the exact name, but I use them 😳 What does aging do to the memory, huh???? 😁 White packaging, pink lettering...

You could even put a few drops of essential oil on a tampon: lavender (I haven't tried it, but they say it's great) or sage...

And honestly, homeopaths have a pretty solid approach to fungal issues too.

Good luck with the treatment!

So, I ordered a mushroom pizza the other day—and honestly? Between the pizza and some Monistat cream... let's just say things went south fast. Like, totally wiped me out.

YOU TOTAL BITCH!!!! THAT'S THE KIND OF ADVICE YOU GIVE YOUR MOM, WHO KNOWS WHERE SHE PICKED YOU UP!!!!!

@ironowl13
spare me the eye rolls, please! Monistat was the first thing I tried! And it did absolutely nothing!

@placidfox55 and @slyraven82 thanks a million, you guys really gave me a ton of advice! 👍

so I went back to the doctor today—AGAIN! He prescribed us Zithromax (not sure how, since that's an antibiotic, and aren't antibiotics supposed to make fungus grow even faster?!), Geronimo and Fluconazole! Of course, he prescribed them for both me and him (minus the vaginal stuff!) I switched over to a Monistat diet and started adding LGG to my food! I only started the diet on Thursday, so I don't actually know how it's working yet...

I went in for swabs—everything under the sun, from Chlamydia to Trichomoniasis, because the yeast loves to hang out with those other little bastards, but everything came back clear! I did this exact same thing two months ago and 21.5 years before that!!!!
I have seriously tried everything!!!!

Thanks so much to everyone who reached out—it's way easier talking to people who have actually dealt with this crap themselves! Thx!
