Awesome! So glad to hear that!
Seriously though—get to a gynecologist ASAP to sort out some birth control. You should aim to start the pill by your next cycle at the latest. You really need to just de-stress; there’s zero point in going through these monthly traumas when there isn't even a real reason for them.

General Hospital, OB-GYN intake. You’ll get an itemized bill you have to justify to prove the costs 😛 .

I honestly can't wrap my head around these numbers—is it $2,000 or just $3?$0.00 If you're seeing a private specialist, sure, prices spike, but why not just use your insurance and a standard referral!? Assuming they don't even log it in your medical records.

The cost likely fluctuates based on the stage of pregnancy; essentially, the further along the pregnancy is, the more expensive the procedure becomes because the medical methods required are different.

Angela Wright said:I assume the cost depends on how far along the pregnancy is. The further along you are, the more expensive it gets because they have to use a different procedure.

The price is actually the same whether you go to a private clinic or a public hospital. The real difference is that at a private facility, you actually get treated like a human being with dignity. In public hospitals? You’re treated like garbage. I’ve heard stories about them just churning patients through like they're on an assembly line, treating women terribly. With a private provider, it’s a completely different experience...

I’ve been scrolling through this thread and honestly, who am I even supposed to feel sorry for? Is it the girls who learned how to be intimate but completely forgot about protection? Or is it the ones popping up on forums later asking where they can go for an "abortion" because $8.25 was just too much to handle? My goodness, what is the world coming to? And here's another thing: Is abortion really the answer for a child that won't even have a chance to live? You know how those procedures work... things get messy...
Look, I'm not trying to lecture you, I just have to ask: Can you actually sleep peacefully at night after doing something like that?

Best,

And one more thing: Is abortion really the answer for a kid that’s gonna end up without a support system? You know how it goes... it’s messy and brutal...

Later!

Since you’re so eager to play moral police, maybe you should’ve bothered reading the part where she said she used protection.

Just take your judgment and go somewhere else. You clearly know how to lecture people but don't know how to read a post.🙂 😛

Seriously, just take your attitude somewhere else! You love to lecture, but you clearly can't handle a simple quote. 🙂 😛

I’m not talking about someone who got pregnant by accident. I mean the girls who think they're "protected" just by tracking their fertile days!! Sorry, girl, but I can only feel bad for someone if a condom breaks or something—otherwise, I just can't pity people who are being that reckless!
And as for the lecturing, honey, maybe those girls should have a word with the women who designed the apps they use, so they might actually start thinking straight... honestly, you guys are unbelievable!

I’d bet anything that a huge number of women who claim to be strictly anti-abortion would suddenly change their tune if they found themselves facing an unplanned pregnancy... there's just so much hypocrisy out there. Everyone acts like a genius until they're actually staring down a real-life crisis. And honestly, if someone decides to go through with it, that’s on them—it's their own mental state and their own responsibility (not talking about this specific girl, just speaking generally). But here's the thing: so many young girls, and I mean minors anywhere from 14 to 18, just don't grasp the actual consequences of unprotected sex or abortion. It comes down to immaturity, getting into things way too early, and just terrible education. A 15-year-old walking into an abortion clinic isn't sitting there thinking about whether she'll be able to have kids when she's 30. Don't get me wrong, though—I truly believe a woman should have the right to decide whether to carry a pregnancy to term or not.
Anyway, I remember this one professor telling me that back in the day, if a woman wanted an abortion, she had to go through some kind of interview process, and they’d even include a priest in the mix. To me, that sounds totally absurd. These days, people see psychologists, and I really feel like every woman should sit down for a session with a therapist before making that kind of decision.

Look, I’m all for saying it's stupid to play games and have unprotected sex—accidents happen, obviously—but let's be real, not every girl can just pop a pill every day, and some of those other protection methods are honestly pretty sketchy.

I’m not out here advocating for abortion at any cost, but I do believe every woman should have the right to make her own call if she finds herself in that situation, without being lectured or judged by everyone else. For me, an abortion would be the absolute last resort—the very last option—if there was truly no other way out.

But these hardcore critics? They act like women facing these choices are just going on some fun little weekend getaway or something. Give me a break. These women are going through hell; why on earth would anyone want to make their lives even harder than they already are?

I just feel the need to weigh in here... ladies, some of these people approach this process with the clinical coldness of someone getting a tooth pulled—and frankly, they might even lack the basic empathy or sorrow you'd expect from such a heavy decision. Believe me, I know exactly what I'm talking about. I remember lying in a hospital room once where these "ladies" were rotating in and out like an assembly line on a factory floor, while I was lying there facing the exact opposite struggle (fighting infertility)... and let me tell you, maybe two out of twenty of them actually possessed a shred of self-awareness.
I’m not here to judge anyone; everyone has the right to make their own choices, and that should be respected. However, I truly believe people ought to give it much more serious thought before jumping into the deep end. And if I may be a bit blunt... I almost want to demand that anyone who isn't mourning their choice undergoes at least one HSG, one egg retrieval, and one grueling hormone cycle involving 80 different injections just to see what that reality actually feels like.

brightranger12 said:Just my two cents here... ladies... some of these women really go through the motions like they’re just getting a routine cleaning at the dentist. Honestly, maybe even with less empathy or actual feeling than you'd expect. Trust me, I know what I'm talking about. I remember once being stuck in a room where these "ladies" were rotating in and out like they were on an assembly line—meanwhile, I was lying there for the exact opposite reason (dealing with infertility issues)... and let me tell you, maybe two out of twenty had any shred of a conscience left.
I'm not here to lecture anyone—everyone has their own rights and choices, period—but I seriously think people should pause and actually wrap their heads around it before doing it. And if I can be a little shameless... "for every woman who didn't show any remorse, I wish she at least had to deal with one HSG, one puncture, and a hormone treatment involving 80 fertility shots."

Don't wish bad luck or misery on anyone, ever. 🙂

(Seriously, some people have all this "conscience" regarding someone else's abortion, but zero conscience when it comes to wishing ill will on others 👎 )

p.s. And how on earth are you supposed to know how much someone actually thought things through before they acted (whether it's sex or an abortion)??? 😕

(Seriously, some people act like they have a moral compass regarding other people's abortions, yet they don't feel any remorse about wishing bad things on others! 👎 )

P.S. And how on earth are you supposed to know what someone was thinking before they made a choice (whether it was sex or an abortion)??? 😕

I have zero intention of judging anyone, really! But I am strictly talking about what the girl above you just pointed out. Isn't it just sad? Nobody talks about contraception anymore! It feels like girls are acting "worse than the guys" these days. Unfortunately, guys are the ones making the choices while girls just go along with it because they’re sleeping around with everyone—it’s like they couldn't care less about whether they end up pregnant or not, and then they just head to an abortion clinic like they're getting a haircut. It's just tragic!!! A girl who finds herself pregnant needs support, not a doctor who treats her like she's just "cleaning up" a mess! That's exactly what my friend's mom did, and believe me, YOU HAVE NO CLUE WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. I saw firsthand what she went through and what she is still dealing with today. Her second home is basically a psychiatric ward. So, if you want to write me off for "preaching," fine! But I would tell every young woman out there: before you do this, please talk to women who have actually lived through it. You don't need a priest, a therapist, or even your mom—talk to the ones who have been there! Then, honey, do whatever you want.... Not only do thousands of girls think this is the only way out, but they don't even realize the actual consequences of that "solution"!!!
Anyway, I don't think there's any point in debating this further. There are thousands of reasons "against" and just as many "for." But the real heart of the problem? It's an uneducated youth that spends money on an abortion instead of buying condoms + the fact that love, commitment, and trust don't mean anything anymore! It's all about sex, everyone with everyone... and then, when it "happens," it's straight to the clinic... Girls who advocate for abortion but haven't had one themselves are the biggest hypocrites, trust me... Personally, I haven't been in a position where I had to choose, but I know plenty of girls and women who were, and believe me, not one of them died after giving birth. Sex has consequences, just like I said... so if you aren't ready to handle the consequences, then don't have sex!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good luck!

Wait, you actually did it yourself, so why do you feel like you have any right to judge girls who are going through this? How can you even talk like that? There's nothing worse than when you're already struggling with those thoughts and someone starts calling you trash or a monster...

First off, I totally agree with you that these girls who use the fertile/infertile method are total morons and need to watch their backs—mostly because one day they’ll end up pregnant and bring a poor kid into this world...

But second, I support him. Some people just have bad luck and others are just stupid, but judging them is the absolute worst thing you can do...

By the way, my mom had an abortion with her third child. It was the hardest decision of her life, but she told me she'd do it all over again just to give me and my brother a decent life... and look at us now, struggling to make ends meet. Honestly, I'd rather pay for an abortion for some idiot girl who's playing games with her cycle and doesn't care about the baby, than have her deal with parents who are super religious and call her a murderer. If she doesn't do it and brings the baby into the world, then what?

Just think for a second and stop being so aggressive toward these girls. Some are at fault, some aren't. And honestly, if a girl needs an abortion, there are better ways to handle it. Just pay for a trip to another state where you can get the pills in the first few weeks and just get it over with...

Instead of having these idiots here making everyone feel guilty by talking about killing babies (are you even sane?????)

you could just grab a sewing needle at home and jam it into a specific part of your body a hundred times once that embryo starts forming... ... hopefully you don't miss 😁
why on earth would anyone drop $1,000 on something like that when you can just DIY it yourself... like in a bathroom stall or something...

I suspect I’ve been misunderstood... or perhaps just misread entirely. I explicitly stated that what I was about to say might come across as rude, and that for any who didn't find it distressing... (and believe me, speaking from experience, only about 10% of people actually struggle with this, as IVF has essentially become a form of "contraception" for many)
. Beyond that, my point was simple: everyone deserves autonomy. In fact, I am a firm advocate for the idea that every individual should have the absolute right to decide whether or not to have children.
As for the whole Catholicism debate and that "communion" issue... honestly, ladies, I’m right there with you. Any informed person should be well aware that the Church does not support IVF procedures at all!

brightranger12, I am so incredibly sorry about what you're going through right now. Really keeping my fingers crossed for you... but honestly, I wasn't even talking to you, I was aiming this at Grace Gonzalez81 who basically just went on a rampage against everyone in line. She’s out here claiming those of us who "support" abortion are just plain stupid...

It's like, if you don't want kids, you're just gonna be miserable later, and then Grace Gonzalez81 and her whole crowd swoop in to lecture us about abortion because they think they're somehow smarter. Like, she's got some friend who did it once, so suddenly she's the expert while the rest of us are just sitting here being clueless... and then they end up having the kid anyway and life is just a mess. I honestly just feel bad for those children...

Like I said, my solution is just to shave it all off 🙂

Wishing you nothing but the best and sending good vibes! 😘

I honestly feel bad for your kids—both the ones you’ll have and the ones you won't... It’s pretty obvious you think you're "so brilliant," isn't it? Did your mom tell you this was perfectly fine? Why all the scare tactics, girl? Don't you know how ABCs work? You really think that "helps" him???? Ugh... what's the point in arguing? Like I said... it's just your opinion versus a mountain of facts. Everyone can do whatever they want, I guess... bye!

First off, you idiot, who even are you to be acting all sorry for my kids?
And honestly, you don't even get how this works. What are you even talking about? You're clueless...

Ugh, why do I even bother trying to talk to a total moron like you?
Whatever, we're done here. I'm officially over it. You're way too dense to understand anything I say... I'm just embarrassed for everyone else having to read this garbage you're posting.

Casey Watson7, why you even stressing... if people want to read, they'll read... anyone who’s actually real isn't gonna swallow this nonsense—we can all just laugh at her together 🙂
and lamb..if you ever happen to need some kind of surgery... why bother going to a hospital? I'll just do it for you, right in the bathroom or out in the yard... nothing wrong with that

😲

Honestly, if I had my way, I’d stop wasting money on pregnancy tests every single time my period is late. It usually just happens because I'm stressed out, and it ends up being off by just a few days...

But there was this one time when it was actually a whole month late. Even then, I didn't make a big deal out of it. I just told myself, "Whatever happens, happens." It was a rough patch, though—I had just broken up with my boyfriend, and I had two wonderful friends (just friends, to be clear) who stayed right by my side through everything...

Then, on Christmas Eve that year, my period finally showed up. I felt this weird mix of relief and sadness, knowing I wasn't going to be a mother after all. I was only 20 at the time...
