Holy Spirit.cca $1000.The fetus shouldn't be older than about 10 weeks. But you really ought to head down there and ask them directly.
First things first, though—use your own head and get all the facts straight, just so you don't end up dealing with unnecessary drama after the Vacuum-abortus.

It’s a good thing we have safeguards and protection in place today... BUT?
It’s also lucky that it’s actually LEGAL now... rather than being left to whoever, non-medical types, playing fast and loose with dangerous situations.

Thankfully, women today have the choice to protect themselves and practice prevention.
The passion is there... and they even have emergency contraception available. Obviously, things will still happen, even though help and advice are available to everyone now. It's taught in schools too... so it really is a parent's responsibility if a teenager won't take the initiative themselves.

My grandson was about 14 or 15 when he got the full talk from his mom and dad—they're separated—and I even took him outside one evening to have a serious word with him myself.

Those of us in the older generation know how tough it was back in our day. We didn't learn nearly as much and didn't have access to birth control. Thank God things are better now.

It’s just sad that people still find themselves in these situations.
But we aren't here to judge; hopefully, others can learn something from this.

P.S. My only message is: stay safe and protect yourselves from STIs!🙂 😉

I already posted this question in the women's forum, where I got plenty of emotional support, but now I need the hard facts. I’m looking for information on where I can go in Washington, D.C. to get an abortion, whether private clinics are an option, what the actual procedure looks like, and how long the recovery takes... please help.

Are you absolutely certain you REALLY want to do this?

A friend of mine used to see Dr. Doppelgänger in private practice a few years back... I'm not entirely sure if they're still taking patients, though...

I am. I'm still finishing up my degree, and honestly, it feels like my only real move right now.

Do you happen to know how long her recovery took?

Susan Williams10 said:Yes, I am. I'm still a student and I think it’s my only real option right now.

Pay close attention to the bold and underlined text.

I really hope you aren't actually pregnant, but IF you are, please take the time to weigh every single possibility so you don't end up living with regret one day.
I'm not here to judge you or lecture you. This forum covers all sorts of topics and stories regarding the Vacuum-abortus; feel free to browse... but I'd love to see you change your mind. Honestly, I'd much rather read that you just got your period. Look, I have no right to impose my views on you—the choice is yours and I have no desire to act like a brat. I just want you to weigh everything carefully before deciding. My hope is that an abortion would be your absolute last resort. That’s the easiest path, but please, think it through deeply first.

Good luck.

Look, I’m not here to judge you or lecture you—this forum covers everything from pregnancy struggles to discussions about the Vacuum-abortus, so feel free to browse... but honestly, I’d love to see you change your mind. Better yet, I’d love to hear that your period finally showed up. At the end of the day, it’s your life and your choice; I have no desire to be the nagging voice in your ear. I just want you to weigh the pros and cons carefully. My hope is that an abortion becomes your absolute last resort, simply because that's often the easiest path to peace of mind. Just think it through, truly.

Good luck!

Thanks
And believe me, I am praying for that period more than anything right now.

The home pregnancy test came back negative. I just took it... does anyone know how unreliable these things actually are? I really needed an answer from my doctor today.

It’s way too early to jump to conclusions about being pregnant. Those at-home tests are usually pretty reliable, but if your period doesn't show up in two or three days, just try again. As for the Vacuum-abortus, almost any OB-GYN will perform one; the only real difference is how much they charge you for it. You'll be recovering for about two to three hours after the procedure, and then you can head home.

Thanks so much. I'm heading to Washington, D.C. to see a specialist at a Mayo Clinic facility.

Oh, come on... you aren't pregnant... no need to panic...
Maybe you just recently became sexually active?

Are you perhaps relatively new to all of this?

Well, it hasn't been incredibly recent, but I suppose you could say I'm still pretty green when it comes to this stuff. And honestly, I am panicking—is that really such a strange reaction?

Look, if you happen to be pregnant—though I have my doubts—abortion should really only be handled in hospitals. From what I hear, though, plenty of private clinics are willing to do it on the side for their regular patients.
My understanding is that it can be done up to about 10 weeks along. Physically, you’re looking at maybe two hours in a clinic or hospital, then a day at home while you finish up some antibiotics.
But honestly? Watch out for the mental toll. I know people who just never truly recovered, people who never quite found their way back to who they were before everything happened.

Hang in there. 🙂

Susan Williams10 said:Well, it hasn't been super recent, but I guess you could say I'm relatively new to all of this. And honestly, yeah, I am panicking, but I suppose that isn't really weird...

It’s not weird at all. Honestly, I feel like I'm looking at myself here. Back when I first started college and was navigating my sex life, I used to freak out over every tiny little sign. I’ve gone through about ten tests now, so I think I have a pretty good idea of the mental state you're in right now..
Eventually, you'll get more experienced, learn how your body and sex work, relax, and end up just like me—helping out someone new who's going through their own panic..
Those tests are about 99% accurate... though I'd say they're basically 100%, since neither I nor any of my friends have ever had one fail us, whether it was confirming a pregnancy or ruling one out. That said, they're pretty much reliable starting two days before your period, and if you wait until you're actually 2 or 3 days late, I think they're extremely dependable...
By the way, if your periods are regular, it's a huge help to track your fertile and non-fertile days. You really have to learn to recognize your cycle and how your body works. During my fertile window, I always use condoms; around those dates, we're extra careful, but toward the end of the cycle when I know the egg has already been released (usually when you feel those cramps and PMS hitting), we don't bother being as cautious. We just relax during those 2 or 3 days before my period starts. 😉 🙂
And I guess panic plays a massive role in everything. If you're panicking, you're stressed, and stress can actually delay your period. If it's late, I'd recommend avoiding sex for a day or two, because even then, it's said that stress can affect things down there... so just try to relax, and it will come...😉 surely...😉

So... I’ve spent the last couple of months obsessively scrolling through every single thread about pregnancy, tests, and abortions... 😠
I totally get where you're coming from since I'm a college student too... and let's be real, sex... happens... you just have to be careful... My boyfriend finished inside me right during my ovulation window (it was a weekend, we'd been drinking some tequila 🙏 )...
Yeah, I was waiting for my period like my life depended on it. It didn't show up on time, and I was buying tests like crazy, but they all came back negative... Once I finally relaxed, my period showed up! It was peak fertile days, ovulation hit, and then boom—my period arrived!! 😍 Honestly, I think I just got lucky...
Now, he only finishes inside me during the very last day or two of my cycle... when there's just a tiny bit left... He doesn't use condoms... 🙂
