Where were you in the sixties?
My x-th reincarnation was basically a high-speed NASCAR crash; all I can recall is some idiot clipping my rear tire and sending me hurtling toward the grandstands. Beyond that, everything is just a blur.🤔 Who knows what actually went down 😵

What kind of conclusion are we supposed to draw here? If we're saying Massa is on par with Kimi Räikkönen and Lewis Hamilton, yet Bottas is eating him alive... 🤔
Well, obviously Mercedes is sabotaging Bottas because he’d end up eating Lewis Hamilton for breakfast too.🤣 Honestly, you're forcing a conclusion by trying to compare the 2018 version of Felipe Massa to how he was back in 2008.🤦

Joker.

A video just dropped showing Max Verstappen's steering wheel during the incident. From what I can tell, he wasn't even trying to dive into that corner... He only started cranking the wheel harder once he was already fighting to get back on track.
The footage is up on the Formula 1 Instagram account...

You don't need to be some big-shot Formula 1 expert—and trust me, I'm definitely not—to see what happened. You can tell Max Verstappen was braking way too late and just wasn't turning the wheel where he should've, all just to shove his rival right off the track. A standard five-second penalty? Whatever. The real sting is that he ends up finishing 3rd behind that flying Finn. That's three measly points lost, man. Just... ugh.
Honestly, those decisions in Belgium were absolute garbage too. I mean, they dragged that whole thing out for like three hours just to end up running two laps behind the SCa and handing him the win. Sure, it was only half points, but still, a win's a win.

I honestly don't get why they messed him up so badly; it would have been much smarter to just hold off until the 50-lap mark, grab the hards, and then make their move 🤔

James Harris34 said:That's just not true. Between 2010 and 2012, Massa was just as talented as he always was. The issue was that he was essentially playing wingman to Alonso during those years, which definitely took its toll on his motivation, but his raw driving skill never wavered.
And when he finally got a shot at Williams, he was consistently beating Bottas, which really speaks volumes about how good he actually was.
How much longer is this going to last? 🤣
Look, I get the obsession with Lewis Hamilton and all that, but honestly, aren't you embarrassed reading your own "wisdom"? 🤣
Massa was never top-tier talent to begin with. Even if by some miracle he had been, after years of being bullied and playing second fiddle to teammates, he’d be totally broken and without a sponsor...
Not to mention he was already 34, had a wife and kids, and nobody even knew why the hell he was trying to get back into Formula 1 after that accident...
For crying out loud, even Michael Schumacher hit a slump after certain years—he wasn't even himself and he was getting beaten steadily by Nico Rosberg...
And that was way more significant than Bottas beating Felipe Massa, who, by the way, Bottas only beat by maybe 10-20% more points,
which isn't even a real beat; that's basically just one or two DNFs in a season.
Massa was never on Michael Schumacher's level, and he took a massive hit to the head.
Honestly, it's a miracle he drove anything at all, let alone a Formula 1 car after that. Using him as a benchmark is pure stupidity. 😵
It's like comparing Robert Kubica then to someone today. 🤦

Rebecca Parker said:He isn't crazy; he's just a dirty driver. It’s easy to defend and attack like that when you aren't thinking about the safety of yourself or anyone else. Honestly, it's sad to me that Lewis's haters even try to put him and Max in the same conversation.🤦
If Lewis Hamilton actually had his edge back, he’d be diving right down the inside of his opponent. 🙂
Don't give me that crap about Lewis being a clean driver. The guy definitely played some dirty tricks against his rivals during his career.
He's the exact same kid as Max, only difference is Lewis actually has some manners and knows how to speak without just blabbering nonsense like Max does. As for their driving style? There’s absolutely no difference when it comes to being clean on track.
And let's be real, Max Verstappen played that one exactly how he wanted to, without even blinking.
Honestly, it’s a dead certainty that Lewis would have done the exact same thing. The only difference? Max definitely wouldn't have finished the race after a move like Lewis's.
Look, Lewis doesn't just shove you around like that and force you into a spin. He’s way more experienced and precise than that. 🙂

This is pure punishment
Is that forum regular going to set his profile picture like they do in Italy? Or is this a completely different situation altogether?

If anyone benefited from the FIA's embarrassment in Belgium, it was Lewis, not Max.🤣
Where are you even getting your math from? Seriously...
Max starts on pole, so regardless of how much it pours, he’s the one with the massive advantage because he’s the only one not stuck in a literal cloud of water.☕
Bottom line: if the race had started normally and on time, whether they used the SC or whatever...
Max is the guy most likely to take the win. Lewis would have been sandwiched between Ricciardo and George Russell, and he probably would've ended up with a DNF instead of a win. In the end, Lewis only lost 5 points despite finishing third, which would have actually been 10 points otherwise.

Come on, just tell us right now who's going to be the champion since that crystal ball is working overtime through all 16 races🙄
That whole farce in Belgium where they flipped everything in Lewis Hamilton's favor? Honestly, it was the absolute peak of comedy🤦

If this were something Lewis did to Max, Christian Horner would have marched himself and all 400 Red Bull Racing employees straight to Michael Masi demanding a penalty.
#212 ·
Go ask Alexander Albon or Sebastian Vettel what kind of driver Lewis Hamilton is; they were both constantly getting bullied by him on track.

shadowmarlin22 said:Just Max pushing him out—totally expected
That isn't pushing.
It's called defending.

Honestly, who would have had a harder time competing in a race like that? Max Verstappen with his PP, or Lewis Hamilton starting from second row alongside those young guns? Just look at what young George Russell did with Valtteri Bottas at Imola to save the race for Lewis Hamilton.😵
And the best part is, he ended up losing way fewer points than if the race had actually gone ahead.
Or maybe you're just worried about driver safety and think the race shouldn't have happened at all, especially on a track where Red Bull Racing would have just dominated anyway.☕
