Leverkusen vs. Manchester United (Nov 27, 8:45 PM) | Odds: 1 @ 1.85 | Final Score: 0-5 (Half-time: 0-2)Manchester United is sitting on eight points, but they’ve got Bayer Leverkusen breathing down their necks with seven, and Shakhtar is right there too with five. Honestly, their league form hasn't been anything to write home about; they just limped through a 2-2 draw against Cardiff last weekend. To make matters worse, they’re going to be missing some heavy hitters today—players like Van Persie, Fellaini, Vidic, and Carrick are all out. On the other hand, Leverkusen has been an absolute force at home lately, sweeping almost everything in their last nine or ten matches, save for a 1-1 stalemate against Bayern Munich. They also coming off a massive momentum boost after absolutely dismantling Shakhtar 4-0 in their last Champions League outing. It feels like Manchester United just can't seem to find that rhythm they were known for in years past.

I’d say we’re looking at a value play here, perhaps sitting somewhere around +185, though I suspect the market might be slightly mispricing the actual probability of this outcome. It feels like one of those instances where the numbers suggest a bit more upside than the current odds reflect. They weren't exactly showing much discipline in their last outing, racking up seven yellow cards in total. To make matters more interesting, today’s officiating duties fall to Olegário Manuel Benquerença—a referee who certainly doesn't hesitate to reach for his pocket if he feels like it. Looking back at their recent European fixtures, only about two out of the last ten matches stayed under the 4.5 yellow card threshold. Meanwhile, in the domestic league, they've consistently trended over that mark. It'll be interesting to see which way the wind blows today.
Shakhtar vs. Real Sociedad (Nov 27, 8:45 PM) | 1 @ 1.65 (4-0)After that absolute disaster against Bayer, followed by a disappointing slump in the league, it finally looks like things are starting to turn around for Shakhtar. They’ve managed to pull off two consecutive league wins, which feels like a much-needed breath of fresh air. Meanwhile, looking at how Sociedad absolutely dismantled Real Madrid 5-1, you have to wonder if there's some momentum shifting in the right direction for these underdogs. I honestly think Shakhtar has a genuine shot at advancing if they truly find that extra gear today. Given they already managed to walk away with a 2-0 win against Sociedad on their own turf during their last trip, I struggle to see why they couldn't replicate that kind of performance here, playing in front of their own fans.

Bayer Leverkusen vs. Manchester United: Home Win 1x 1.40(0-5) / 1 @2.50(0-5) + Kissling scores 2.90 @ 7.25

Look, Leverkusen at home over their last 30 official matches—they’ve only dropped games to Bayern Munich (1-2) and Dortmund (2-3)—and they even managed a 1-1 draw in their most recent clash with Bayern. Meanwhile, Manchester is dealing with injuries—Drew Wright already posted about it—and honestly, they look terrible under Ten Hag, especially when playing away (only 3 wins in their last 10). A win here puts Leverkusen right at the top of the table, and let's be real, they are more than capable of dismantling a weak United side like this.

Shakhtar vs. Real Sociedad: Over 2.5 goals 2.25 (4-0)

Real Sociedad isn't quite as weak as the stats suggest, but Shakhtar is playing at home with massive momentum and a crowd behind them—they're clearly the favorites here—though I think the odds on Sociedad are way too high. Shakhtar lost 0-2 last time, which was an absolute miracle considering they crossed the halfway line maybe twice—the shot ratio was 16-2 in favor of Sociedad! Now, Sociedad still has a theoretical shot at second place (if United beats Leverkusen), but they have a much better chance of grabbing third and moving into the Europa League if Shakhtar wins today. Anything else leaves them stuck in dead last in the group, so I’m betting on goals—there is no way this ends 0-0. They've got Vele, who just put up a brilliant four-goal performance a few days ago, and the rest of the squad is ready to go. That 2.25 odd is huge, and that lousy 1-5 goal difference is nothing but an illusion. Shakhtar totally outplayed them in that 0-2 loss, and after seeing United play such destructive, ugly football twice now, it's clear those kinds of matches don't suit Sociedad at all. Shakhtar is the perfect opponent to trigger a goal fest tonight.

They haven't exactly been dominant in league play lately, coming off a lackluster 2-2 draw against Cardiff. Furthermore, they'll be missing several heavy hitters tonight—Van Persie, Fellaini, Vidic, and Carrick are all out. On the other hand, Leverkusen has been an absolute juggernaut at home, winning nearly every match over their last ten, save for a 1-1 stalemate against Bayern. They also dismantled Shakhtar 4-0 in their last Champions League outing. It seems Man United just can't find that championship rhythm they possessed in years past.

I wonder if Persica made the trip over to Germany? I caught a report somewhere suggesting he might actually suit up tonight. However, one shouldn't overlook the fact that the Manchester United flight encountered some harrowing difficulties during its approach. We are talking about a near-disaster that was narrowly averted at the eleventh hour; apparently, while descending roughly 400 feet above the ground, the crew was notified that landing was impossible because another aircraft was obstructing the runway. One can only speculate whether the players were aware of the gravity of the situation in that moment, but such a brush with danger could undoubtedly weigh heavily on their collective psyche. Mental fortitude is everything in professional sports—it’s most visible in tennis, certainly, 🙂 though even in soccer, a player's mental state can be volatile, much like the unpredictable nature of Balotelli 🙂

Look, I'll admit I'm not exactly an expert on all their crazy math and rules—but I was reading up on it last night!

Two teams are relegated directly and the 17th & 18th teams play off with the relevant second division teams for their positions in the first division on the basis of a special classification where the averages are calculated by the points which each team has during the last six periods(3 years) divided by the num of games played by the team.

But hey, for me? It doesn't matter how you slice it—it's all good for my analysis!

I can't say for certain if the players realized just how close they came to disaster at that moment, but it's entirely plausible that such an incident could leave them feeling a bit rattled. Mental state plays such a massive role in athletic performance—something you see most clearly in tennis players🙂, though even in soccer, the psychological toll can be significant, much like what we've seen with players like Balotelli🙂.

ESPN

Neither flew into Germany from Manchester with the rest of the United squad, even though Vidic did train ahead of departure."

I’ve been weighing the matchup between Juventus and FC Copenhagen for the November 27th fixture at 8:45 PM, and I’m feeling a bit inclined toward the home side. If you can grab a win for Juventus at odds of 1.90, it seems like a reasonably sound proposition to me. It’s a bit of a toss-up, of course, but I think there's enough value there to justify a look.Juventus really has their backs against the wall today; they’re sitting at the bottom of the group, so there's absolutely no room for error. I’m anticipating some heavy pressure early on, and honestly, my gut tells me they might find themselves trailing by halftime—that’s usually when things start to get heated and the sparks actually begin to fly. If I had to put money on it, Vidal and Mellberg are my top picks for picking up yellow cards, and frankly, we’re already halfway there. In their last head-to-head matchup, those two teams walked away with five yellows between them. The officiating today is being handled by J. Eriksson, a referee who tends to keep a relatively tight lid on things; looking back at his last nine matches, he only went under 3.5 yellows twice, and both of those instances ended with exactly three cards.

I’d say yes—it looks like a solid 1.80 bet for a 4-1 scoreline.Anyone who caught their opening match saw firsthand just how clinical those Turkish sides can be when they find their rhythm. It’s hard to argue with the evidence; when you have talent like Drogba leading the charge, backed by the likes of Sneijder and Felipe Melo, you’re looking at a squad that knows exactly how to punish mistakes. On the other side of the pitch, Real Madrid is looking uncharacteristically vulnerable, playing significantly shorthanded this time around.
The squad is looking a little thin at the moment, to be honest. We’ve lost Ronaldo, Sami Khedira, Raphael Varane, and Fabio Coentrao all to various injuries, which certainly complicates things. To top it off, Luka Modric will be sitting this one out due to a suspension after racking up three yellow cards during our first four Champions League outings. It’s a bit of a headache, but we'll just have to see how we manage.
Perhaps Xabi Alonso is worth considering for the role... Even though Real Madrid walked away with that 6-1 victory last time they met, the scoreline was a bit of a mirage. Galatasaray actually carved out quite a few openings; if things had gone a slightly different way, they might have punished Real, much to the chagrin of their supporters—and certainly to my own dismay as a fan. Real seems to have this persistent habit of conceding in almost every match they play, so I’d say this particular bet isn't exactly a safe one.
Real Madrid vs. Galatasaray — betting on the 2.00 odds for a 4-1 result.Given everything that’s been laid out above, and considering my unwavering loyalty to Real Madrid, I find myself anticipating a victory for the boys in white. It feels like one of those inevitable conclusions that you just can't really argue with. 😬

Nastavak:

Zlatan Ibrahimović (idg) - PSG vs. Olympique Lyonnais (Nov 27, 8:45 PM) - Bet on a win at 1.80 odds.Ibrahimović is making a serious run at Ronaldo’s goal count; he’s sitting pretty with seven in the Champions League right now. Since Ronaldo is sidelined for today’s match, this could be the perfect window for Ibra to snatch that top spot from him.

I’ll take those odds at 1.60.Aguero remains Manchester City's most prolific scorer in the Champions League, having already notched five goals this campaign. They secured a convincing 3-0 away victory recently, with Aguero finding the back of the net once again. While the squad is clearly missing a few key pieces at the moment, the club is firmly focused on clinching the top spot in their group, and frankly, any absences shouldn't really stand in the way of a player of his caliber finding the goal.
While we’re still waiting on the likes of Vincent Kompany, Stevan Jovetic, David Silva, and Jack Rodwell to shake off their injuries and get back on the pitch, there is at least one bit of good news: Joe Hart is finally set to reclaim his spot between the posts.

Two teams get sent straight down to the minor leagues, while the 17th and 18th place finishers have to fight it out in a playoff against the top contenders from the second division. They decide who stays in the big leagues based on this weird weighted average—basically, they take the total points earned over the last six seasons (which covers three years) and divide that by the actual number of games played.

Personally, I don't care much for the math—it all looks the same to me.

So, what it's saying is that relegation isn't just about this season—they look at the points you've racked up over the last three years (six distinct cycles, if you want to get pedantic about the two openers and three closers) and divide that by the total games played to get a final average.🤷

Ibrahimovic (Away) vs PSG (Home) (Nov 27, 8:45 PM) - Ibrahimovic to score @ 1.80
-Zlatan is currently chasing Ronaldo’s scoring record; he’s sitting on 7 Champions League goals right now, and since Ronaldo isn't in the lineup today, this might just be his golden opportunity to snatch that top spot...

Aguero (Away) vs Man City (Home) (Nov 27, 8:45 PM) - Aguero to score @ 1.60-Aguero is leading the charge for City in the Champions League with 5 goals already, and considering they cruised through their last away match with a 3-0 win where he found the net, they are clearly eyeing the top of the group. Even though they're missing a few key pieces, I don't see that stopping Aguero from getting on the scoresheet.
Captain Vincent Kompany, Stevan Jovetic, David Silva and Jack Rodwell remain sidelined but Joe Hart will return in goal.

Cards are looking like a solid play at @ 2.20.
In my estimation, it is far more prudent to wait until the official lineups are announced. While I am fairly certain Zlatan will feature in the starting XI, I harbor some reservations regarding Aguero's availability.

It’s probably wiser to hold off until the lineups are officially released. I’m fairly certain Ibra will be on the pitch, though I have my doubts about whether Agüero will start.

I only caught the ESPN broadcast, but if they had offered a bet on Negredo scoring, I would have taken it in a heartbeat. The odds would likely be better, and personally, I see him as a stronger pick than Agüero...

Europa League
7 PM

Rijeka vs. Vitoria Guimaraes -3 1.70 (0-0)

This is a massive game for Rijeka.
The Portuguese side is in a total slump, coming off five straight losses, so I guess this is a prime opportunity for Rijeka to grab a win on the European stage.
They’ve proven they can be incredibly difficult to play against at home, acting as a tough nut to crack even for superior teams.
That said, knowing how Coach Kek operates, I don't expect any reckless attacking or overly open play here.
I anticipate Rijeka will control the tempo, though there might be a few goals. Maybe. Kek would likely rather play a bit more conservatively to secure a point at the end than overextend himself and risk a loss.

The Europa League... man, where do we even start with this one? It’s always such a wild ride—one week you're watching some underdog team from a mid-sized US city pull off a miracle against a massive powerhouse, and the next, everything just falls apart. It's got that specific kind of chaotic energy that keeps you glued to the screen, even when you know you're probably going to regret staying up late to watch it.
I haven't seen anything posted here yet—just waiting for the conversation to actually kick off.

Looking at the Rijeka vs. Vitória Guimarães matchup—specifically that -3 spread sitting at 1.70—and honestly? It feels like one of those games where you have to decide if you're betting on pure momentum or just waiting for the inevitable equalizer. I’ve been staring at these numbers for a bit, and while the math suggests a blowout, my gut is telling me this might be a tighter affair than the oddsmakers think. Just one of those situations where you're weighing the risk against a pretty decent return.

This one’s a massive game for Seattle Sounders.

The Portuguese side is absolutely falling apart right now—five straight losses in a row—and honestly, it’s basically handing a golden ticket to a team like Seattle on the European stage. If they can just step up, this is their moment to grab a massive win.
They’ve gone and proven they can be absolute disasters at home—just completely outclassed by even the most mediocre squads.
Knowing Kek—or rather, knowing how he operates—we aren't going to see any reckless sprinting or playing too far out of position here. He’s too calculated for that.
I’m expecting them to control the tempo—sort of play it safe and keep things under wraps—but honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if we see some goals. It feels like the coach would much rather drive with the parking brake on, just grinding out a result at the end, than go all-out attacking and risk getting caught on the counter. Better to take the point than blow it by being too reckless, right?

Rijeka-Guimarães 1 @ 2.80 (0-0) (SS)

I’m on board with everything said here—really, I am—but if I had to put my money on one side, I’d still bet on the Seattle Sounders to pull this off. My thinking? If Lyon ends up leading against Betis—which would basically hand them the keys to decide their own fate in the final round—they’re going to go all out. It’s an "all or nothing" kind of situation, and let's be honest, you don't get opportunities like that every day. That said, there's a catch... the Sounders look pretty drained. Between that rescheduled match last week and the whole international break mess, they've been running on fumes. I’m actually trying to piece together how that ties into the performance of their top scorer—it’s a bit of a puzzle, really. Benko scores at +260 odds. Man, watching the Portuguese national team lately has been a total gut punch—they’re absolutely spiraling right now with five straight losses under their belt. It's honestly painful to watch.

If Rijeka and Lyon pull off these wins today—and that’s a big "if"—here’s how things are looking heading into the final round:

Lyon 9
2. Betis 8
3. Seattle 5
4. Guimarães 4

So, Rijeka is heading out to face Betis—and just to recap, that first leg ended in a 1-1 draw—but if they can pull off another win on the road, they’ll actually sit even with the Spanish side on aggregate. Since they’ve got the tiebreaker advantage, an away victory would essentially punch their ticket straight to the next round. Fingers crossed, right?

Black Sea vs. Dinamo Chicago at 1.75—it’s an interesting line, really. You look at those odds and you start wondering if the bookies are actually paying attention or if they're just throwing darts at a board today. It feels like one of those matches where everything looks straightforward on paper, but then you get into the actual grit of the game and things start looking a lot different. Just one of those numbers that makes you pause and think for a second. (SS) (2-1)

The Ukrainians aren't exactly firing on all cylinders right now—though, to be fair, they’ve definitely bounced back after that rough patch—but honestly, what can you even say about Dinamo? They’re playing absolutely atrocious football lately, especially when they step onto the big stage in European competition. Plus, the whole vibe at the club feels less like a professional sports organization and more like a forced labor camp in North Korea—it's just grim. At this rate, the Ukrainians might actually end up progressing further in the tournament than they will. Meanwhile, Dinamo is still out there "learning" and "gaining experience"—which is really just a polite way of saying they’re struggling to find their footing. Maybe if they play their cards right, they’ll manage to scrape together a single win in Europe for the fourth consecutive season. Who knows? ☕

Tottenham is heading over to Norway without much of their starting lineup

It looks like Paulinho, Hugo Lloris, Kyle Walker, Sandro, Aaron Lennon, Jermain Defoe, Younes Kaboul, and Emmanuel Adebayor are all staying behind back in London.

On top of those absences, Christian Eriksen is dealing with an ankle issue, Danny Rose has a foot problem, and Harry Kane is sidelined with a back injury.

http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news...m-news-271113/

I guess the home win at 2.80 looks like a decent value play, maybe.

Eriksen’s still out with that ankle issue, Rose is sidelined with foot trouble, and Kane is dealing with back pain. Still on the injury list.

The Spurs just dropped their latest update. Check the link if you actually care about what’s happening over at the stadium. Personally, I've seen enough to know how this usually goes. Typical.

The 1X at 2.80 is a solid play. Take it.

Ali Tottach is showing some serious range this season. I could run with this lineup of 11 today:

Friedel - Naughton, Chiriches, Dawson, Vertonghen - Dembele, Capoue - Lamela, Holtby, Sigurdsson, - Soldado

Chadly and Townsend are still here.

Enough to crush Anchorage.

Honestly, Tromsø has basically become a second-tier squad at this point.

Rubin vs. Maribor: Over 2.5 @ 1.9 (Final score: 1-1)
The first leg wrapped up with Rubin taking it 5-2. Today, Maribor absolutely has to go for the win, while Rubin can settle for a draw. I’ve got a feeling the Russians are actually sweating the matchup and might just sit back and defend. Because of that, I'm leaning toward the over.

AZ Alkmaar vs. Maccabi Haifa: Haifa @ 1.7 (Final score: 2-0)
Maccabi is hunting for a victory here, and I’m pretty sure they have what it takes to find the back of the net against those Dutch sides—they're famously known for being a bit too generous with goals, aren't they? :-))

Chernomorets vs. Dynamo Kyiv Over 1.5 @ 1.4 (Final score: 2-1) or Over 2.5 @ 2.1 (Final score: 2-1)
These are the odds over at DraftKings; you won't find them this high anywhere else. I'm pulling the trigger on this because finding decent over odds like this is a rarity, unless you're looking at the Argentine league. Word is Dynamo is running a slightly weaker lineup today (though who knows which players actually count as "weak"), so I'm expecting plenty of defensive lapses. They should still push for the win even if it doesn't mean much for their standing.

What’s the weather looking like on the pitches over in Eastern Europe? If it isn't snowing—or if the snow starts coming down mid-match—all our predictions basically go out the window. You could easily see a 0-0 deadlock, or even a wild 3-3 shootout, purely theoretically...

@Eric Fox7/">@@Eric Fox7: Exactly. It makes reading the flow of the game almost impossible. On a pristine pitch, you can at least make an educated guess about who should be controlling the tempo, but once you're dealing with snow, honestly, you can't predict anything. Either way, I tend to stay away from betting on games like this.

Rijeka vs. Guimaraes Both teams score 1.80 SS (0-0)

If Rijeka pulls off a win here, it keeps their theoretical hopes alive and helps wash away the bitter taste of that 0-4 blowout from the first leg. But let’s be real—their defense is a sieve. Since they'll be playing at home, they're going to push forward, which just leaves them wide open for the Portuguese side to snatch a goal on the counter.

Friday, man... finally.

Man, I’m looking at this matchup between the Portland Timbers and Inter Miami... the odds for under 3.5 goals are sitting at 1.24 right now, and honestly, after seeing that 1-1 deadlock earlier... it just feels like one of those games where everyone is playing it way too safe. It’s frustrating because you want to see some actual action, but these teams are just clogging up the midfield and playing scared—it’s driving me nuts... if they don't start opening up soon, we're just watching a glorified game of keep-away for ninety minutes.

Man, look, Osijek is playing some seriously gritty, stubborn, and honestly just plain inefficient ball right now—I mean, they're sitting at a +6 to -10 goal differential at home... it’s just a mess...
Look, HD averages about one goal per game on the road—they're definitely leaking more than they should, too—but honestly? When you're facing a home team this dominant, you can't exactly expect them to just walk in and drop a bunch of goals... it's just not happening...
Look, I’m definitely not expecting a massive blowout here—and there is absolutely no way in hell I'm looking for four goals...

Saturday, finally...

Man, I am absolutely losing my mind over this one... Al Shoalah vs. Al Hilal? More like a complete circus. You look at those odds—1.40 for an away win—and you think it’s a lock, right? A total layup. But then you watch the actual match play out and it’s just... ugh. They finish 2-1, but looking at that 2-2 halftime score, it was a total rollercoaster of nothingness. It’s the kind of game that makes you want to throw your remote through the TV screen because it’s just so unpredictable and frustrating... honestly, what even was that?

It’s honestly pathetic... you’ve got the absolute bottom-of-the-barrel basement dwellers hosting the best damn team in the league—it’s basically a setup for a slaughter at this point...
Man, Al Shoalah is absolutely falling apart—ten official games in and they haven't even managed to scrape together a single win. Just one measly draw to show for it before heading back home... what a joke.
We went up against the "Half Moon" crew three different times now—three whole times—and honestly? We got absolutely schooled every single one of them... just completely outplayed from start to finish...

February 14, 2013—Al Hilal vs. Al Shoalah ended 4 to 2... honestly, just another day at the office for the big guys, I guess. Typical blowout scenario where one side shows up ready to play and the other looks like they forgot they even had a game scheduled... turns out scoring four goals isn't that hard when you're playing against a squad that can't hold a defensive line to save their lives. It was a bit of a mess, really—just total chaos on the pitch... but hey, at least it wasn't a boring 0-0 snooze fest.
September 14, 2012—Al Shoalah vs. Al Hilal Riyadh ended 1 to 3... honestly, just another day at the office for the big guys, I guess. Typical blowout where the underdog tries to make a stand and just gets absolutely steamrolled by the powerhouse... it’s almost predictable at this point.
Man, I just saw the score from that Al Shoalah vs. Al Hilal Riyadh match—it was a complete slaughter, 6 to 1... Seriously, how does a game even end like that? It wasn't even a contest, more like a sanctioned beatdown. One side showed up to play soccer, and the other side just showed up to collect a paycheck while running over anyone in their path. Honestly, watching a blowout like that is just exhausting—it kills any sense of suspense, you know? You're sitting there hoping for a comeback or at least some dignity, and instead, you just get an absolute clinic in dominance. Total mismatch from the jump... absolutely ridiculous.

Man, after that absolute disaster of a loss to Nasser in the local derby last week—I mean, giving up a goal in stoppage time like that? Just pathetic—I’ve got a feeling the guys over at Al Jabera aren't going to let this slide. They're gonna come out swinging for this matchup... they'll be looking to settle the score and walk away with the whole damn trophy again.

Look, I’m telling you right now—you gotta double that 1.74... seriously, just take it and run before someone realizes what's happening... because if you don't, you're just leaving money on the table, plain and simple...

Brazilian Serie B - Final Matchday

Bragantino vs. Figueirense 2 @ 1.80 (1-1)

So, Figueirense is currently sitting in that scary fourth-to-last spot—the one that leads right into the relegation zone. They’ve got 59 points, which is the exact same amount as fifth and sixth place, and honestly? Those teams look like they have a massive shot at pulling off a win this final round.

Basically, Figueirense absolutely *needs* this win if they want to stay up! Meanwhile, Bragantino is just chilling in the middle of the pack—they already locked in their safety last week, so they don't really have anything to play for.

I just can't see Cardiff pulling off another upset here, especially against an Arsenal side that basically has to sweep teams of this caliber if they ever want to actually hoist a trophy.
Even though Dortmund might be feeling a bit shaky right now, they're still way too talented for a squad like Mainz to handle.
Club Brugge is riding a great wave at the moment, and honestly, Oostende is just a bottom-tier club in the Belgian league.
Valenciennes is notoriously tough to beat at home—well, actually, they're one of the worst home teams out there—and Lille has more than enough quality to take this and stay in the title hunt.
Panathinaikos has been on quite the run lately; they’ve only dropped one match in their last six, and that was against Olympiacos, so I don't think some newly promoted side is going to catch them off guard.
Coming off a win, Prosinečka is facing one of those teams that struggles immensely on the road, and frankly, they have to win this one just to keep their hopes alive for staying in the league.
I know this is a pretty long list of matchups, but everything looks so solid to me that I think I'll throw a small amount on it and see what happens.
