Best concert of the year?

Finally—it’s raining and the temperature has actually dropped. The club is finally cooling off after being absolutely unbearable the last few days. 🙂

Great, just my luck—I roll into Chicago and it immediately starts pouring. 🙂 I even managed to tan a shade darker at the tanning salon. 😁 Now I’m practically whiter than 99.99% of the population.

Anyway, David Sullivan4, I still had decent visibility in my thermals, and that woman didn't impress me one bit... unlike, say, the one from Xiu Xiu 😍 (or even Ironhead 😁)

Looks like my lazy ass is gonna drag itself out to the concert this Friday after all. Hey, {{1}} how many tickets are they actually gonna have left on the day of the show?

The more I listen to them, the less I feel like actually showing up to the show... It’s just not really my vibe, honestly. Might be a bit too much for me. But hey, I'm definitely tuning in today regardless!

If you haven't noticed, today's morning paper didn't bother mentioning the Dirt Bombs once... instead, they wasted space on two separate pieces about Mariza—that’s at least four different mentions of this Portuguese singer in one issue alone.
Cynics would love to claim certain reporters are on the payroll of some specific club, but let's be real: it's just because the Dirt Bombs aren't exactly A-list material, and clearly, Mick Collins is a non-entity in the rock scene. 🙄

Look, I don't care about being announced like some kind of headliner, but I can't wrap my head around why they weren't included in the other concert listings in that bestseller... maybe it's because the author didn't want to step on any toes by mentioning a show happening at a different club on the exact same night...
To make matters even more ridiculous, the Dirt Bombs actually show up a few pages earlier in the section about the White Stripes. 😲 😵
