velvetwolf92 said:I honestly have no idea... I was hovering around 120 pounds last summer, and since then, I haven't really been paying much attention to the scale. Everything I owned still fit me perfectly, so I just assumed my weight had stayed pretty much the same. Then, one day, I decided to hop on the scale just for kicks, and wouldn't you know it—😈 125! 🤣 That’s what I call "stealth" weight gain—you really have to watch out for it! 🤣 🤣

And why do you care so much, Susan James42? 😬

Well, it seemed somewhat implied from the context that the weight gain was intentional; this kind of seasonal "remodeling" is actually quite common... regardless, those 125 pounds are ideal, provided they are distributed properly and consist mostly of muscle rather than fat... 🙂

I don't usually go through these "seasonal shifts" (which is probably a pretty good way to put it, 🤣), but I guess that’s just how things turned out this time around... I started getting back into a workout routine, but then my appetite just went absolutely haywire. I was constantly hungry and felt completely wiped out, so I ended up scaling back the intensity and switching things up, though I still found myself eating way more than usual for a while... My goal is to try and settle somewhere between 120 and 125 pounds, but we'll see if I can actually pull that off... Honestly, the main thing is just feeling good in my own skin and being relatively happy with how I look 👍

183cm, 190lbs, 24 years old—not overweight, just feeling a bit soft.

I’ve got a gut, though. Besides cardio, what are the best exercises to burn this off in about four months? I need to look decent by graduation.🙂

How tall are you guys and how much do you weigh? Also, what’s the general rule of thumb for weight relative to height? I've noticed that even when people have pretty much the same height-to-weight ratio, they look completely different visually. I guess it depends on something specific, maybe body composition?

This thread popped up recently—dig through it a bit, you’ll find plenty of good stuff to read. 🙂

5'7", 99 lbs😬
I know I'm thin, but I don't look malnourished—I guess that just depends on how you look at it.

Good grief! You’re seriously underweight for how tall you are!

I know, I've been trying to put on some weight but nothing's working; I've just always been skinny, I guess.😢

I’m sitting at about 170 lbs and 5'5", and honestly, I feel pretty good about where I am. It's been quite the journey, though! I used to be down at 147, but then I went through this phase where I was trying to gain some weight and ended up pushing past 180, before finally settling back down into the 165-170 range.

5'9", 154 lbs. I’ve seriously never been this heavy. Seeing 154 on the scale... honestly, I almost lost it.

tash@ said:I interpreted this as: if you weigh 130 pounds at age 25, you won't suddenly hit 175 by the time you're 40, and you shouldn't worry because your body isn't going to change much.😁

Did I misread the situation?🤔

🤣 No, you didn't; that was the ambassador speaking.
Based on that logic, it sounds like we're all just destined to roll around like bowling balls once we reach old age.

For context, I've been holding steady at about 112 pounds for the last five or six years, standing 5'5".

Alright folks, I just took a look back at my history... on January 3rd, 2006, at 7:37 PM, I first opened this thread and posted that my blood pressure was 185/85. Well, looking at things now, I can say with a huge sense of pride that I’ve hit 185/78! Hehehe!!! Don't get me wrong, I still indulge in way too much good food, but I've been hitting the gym much more consistently lately, and the weight is slowly starting to drop... almost imperceptibly... plus, working out has actually become a genuine habit. You really can do it whenever you set your mind to it ;-)

Dwarf980 said:Currently sitting at 190/106—my weight fluctuates between 225 and 240 lbs monthly depending on whether I actually eat decent food or just junk. I’m not fat, per se, but there's some extra padding. The belly fat is currently being burned off... I'll be fit by summer, mark my words.

It’s fine for now. Last year in March, I was over 285 lbs... then I leaned down to 225 by the time summer hit.😬

So, how exactly did you drop those 60 pounds?
