Squeak, squeak... we seriously need to fix those little issues! 👍

🤣

That third one on the left is just more Grunf... everything makes sense now. 😁

Those technical glitches really cost Fernando Alonso dearly.
Finishing 8th yesterday was actually a solid result when you consider he had to deal with two unplanned pit stops and a car that felt broken for basically the whole race.

But now he’s sitting 20 points behind Kimi Räikkönen and 30 back from Sebastian Vettel. That's a massive gap to close with only four races left on the calendar.

Anyone got a decent chart showing the pit stop windows and tire degradation?

That's a lot for 4 races, but not much for 15.

Felipe Massa had to pit twice just to swap out that same rear right tire.
He’s claiming a bit of debris on the track caused the second issue. Honestly? I can see that.
The first incident is harder to call—could've been debris, could've been delamination.
Either way, it’s been a hell of a lot of bad luck for one single race.

There's a whole lot of data here. If you're looking for pit stop details—specifically which lap they came in and what tires were used—just select "head to head" and pick your drivers. You'll find everything you need at the bottom of the page. 😉

You're not wrong.
Ferrari spoiled us with how reliable they've been lately.
So yeah, seeing this many mechanical failures in just a few races is starting to give me an actual ulcer.

It happens, man, it happens...
Maybe it's better now rather than later when there's no time left to fix things.

I'm trying to stay positive here. Ferrari has a competitive car, Fernando Alonso is in top form, Felipe Massa is solid, and they've got a bit of bad luck to burn through. Whatever, luck runs out eventually—as long as they keep all the parts together, things should work out in the end.

That three-week break will do them good, and then there's the Spanish Grand Prix—Alonso's home turf.

Fingers crossed! 😁

First race of the season I actually sat through live (I’m not a morning person, so I skipped the torrent).

Look, regardless of how much people hate him or whatever they say—Vettel outclassed Fernando Alonso on track. He didn't get aggressive, he gave him space, and then just pulled away. Honestly, he would’ve won even if the Ferrari was actually working properly. I don't think anyone is debating that. Personally, I’m not looking forward to another Michael Schumacher era, but from where I'm sitting, things aren't looking great in that department.

Sauber is completely invisible these last few races, and man, they really miss Koba. Gutt hasn't exactly shown anything impressive lately.

My overall impression of the start of this season is pretty garbage. I get that same feeling I had when DRS was first introduced—plastic, artificial, boring, and just confusing. I honestly don't get who watches races like this. Someone overtakes someone else every five minutes, but what does it matter when they aren't even running the same tactics? It feels like watching multiple different classes racing on the same track. Pit stops every few laps, quick cuts to DRS nonsense, a little shoving during pit exits, Vettel leading, and rinse and repeat.

I love Formula 1, but it’s starting to get on my nerves, and I have to admit, it's getting boring. At least, the way it is right now.

So much for "objectivity." 👍

Anyway, enough about the people who clearly can't read what's right in front of them.☕
Later.👋

That is an undeniable truth. Amanda Kelly certainly deserved many more titles than she actually received. If it weren't for the tragic loss of their lives, both she and Ayrton Senna would have undoubtedly padded their trophy cabinets with several more championship wins.

And just for fun—throw Kimi instead of Max into the mix and let him chase Lewis around; I'd love to see how long he lasts before Lewis leaves him in the dust.

Sebastian Vettel secured the championship title last year despite the relentless string of misfortunes that seemed to follow him. Is that not, in itself, perhaps the ultimate testament to the caliber of driver we are discussing? I fear that many individuals utilize this forum merely as a way to soothe their own personal insecurities. While I can certainly respect that you might not hold a particular driver in high regard, one simply cannot ignore the empirical reality of the results...

As for the idea of having Luja breathing down someone's neck, I suggest you revisit the 2011 Spanish Grand Prix.

Oh, really?

This is how little kids who think they're gods because they spend all day on the internet talk to each other, anyway.

DNF, as far as I'm concerned 👋

If you want to talk about Lula getting screwed over, just look at the 2011 Spanish Grand Prix.

Sure thing, thanks.

Both of them drove an absolute masterclass today.👍
Plus, you can't leave out Perez, Piastri, and di Resta—they definitely earned a mention.🙂

I gotta say, I actually find myself agreeing with you on this one for once.

Goodbye then. Perhaps in the meantime you might actually learn something—say, how to engage in a reasoned argument.

steelmaker83 said:How can I not? Your trolling regarding Fernando Alonso and Ferrari is just as "productive" as anything coming from the other side...

Except it's obvious to me that all you McLaren fans are having a massive identity crisis right now. Your prince ran away and left an empty stable, leaving nothing behind but......

I am not trolling about Alonso....Trolling is intentionally being obtuse just to derail a discussion, which isn't my goal at all. It's simply that I cannot wrap my head around a person who has disgraced every single team he's ever driven for through dishonest acts, cheating, lies, rigging, blackmail, and betrayal.......given how much that individual repulses me, I find myself being quite discrete and measured when discussing him—certainly more composed than those who, if they could, would be staring at his backside 👍

By the way... there is no identity crisis at McLaren; we might discuss a crisis in results, but certainly not an identity crisis. And if you knew anything about the McLaren mentality—or their fans—you wouldn't dream of calling a driver a "prince." Everyone knows who the true prince is in the United Kingdom 😁

I can say with certainty that I support "your way."
I won't get involved in who your "target" is; that choice is yours alone.

But I cannot agree with this last part.
To be honest, I couldn't care less about the portion of Alonso's career before his time at Ferrari... but in what way, and through what specific actions, did Fernando Alonso shame teams with "dishonest actions, cheating, lies, rigging, blackmail, and betrayal"?
