Man, I’ve had such a rough week, but you guys suggested some seriously great albums. No matter which one ends up being my main theme, I’m definitely going to be spinning several of these over the next few days—and probably much later, too...
Dead Can Dance - Anastasis (2012) - I listened to them a bit more closely a few years back, but they didn't quite click for me then, so I haven't really revisited them since.
Cornelius Cardew – The Great Learning (2010) - I can't say it doesn't sound intriguing at times, but this is probably the furthest thing from what I usually listen to, so I might find it hard to connect with the sound.
Clutch - Blast Tyrant (2003) - I probably wouldn't have recommended them myself because I wouldn't even know which album to pick, but they are definitely one of my favorite bands—something I can always turn to.
KBO! – Forever Punk / Call 93 (1998) - Another really dear album; it takes me back about 10 or 15 years.
Raison D'Etre - In Sadness, Silence and Solitude (1997) - Based on the description, it didn't sound particularly tempting, but it actually doesn't sound bad at all; I'm just not in the right mood for it right now, but I'm definitely noting it down so I can come back to it.
All Them Witches - Lightning at the Door (2013) - Such a good band; I think this is the album I've played the least, so here's a chance to make up for it.
The Band - The Band/Brown Album (1969) - They've actually been on my "must-listen" list for a while now, so I guess I'll move them right to the top.
Liza Minnelli - Handbag (1992) - Oh, this is interesting too; women seem to be a bit underrepresented in these lists, so that's an extra plus for the suggestion. I'll definitely give it a listen.
Nine Inch Nails - The Fragile (1999) - I don't think I've ever actually listened to this album all the way through; I'm not exactly crazy about the band, but I try to keep up with most of what they do.
Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band - Safely as Milk (1967) - I was sold within the first 10 or 15 seconds of the track Sur'Nuff 'n' Yes, I Do.
