That’s all for the suggestions! Let's move things along to a brand new poll 🙂

Uh... it looks like my usual window for brainstorming and dropping suggestions from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM just doesn't cut it anymore.

I’m seeing way too many early birds here for my liking...😁
Spots are already being snatched up by 9:00 AM...😲

On the other hand... hats off to the master for picking such a "truly legendary" Waterboys album. And even more credit to Kenneth Price6 for including that incredibly underrated crew from Leeds. Honestly, I feel like their true essence is captured much better in those early singles and specific eras rather than in their full albums as standalone works...

In that spirit—here’s another little nostalgic trip down memory lane to Apple Friday (RIP), where I first heard Talk About The Weather in my entire life...

Joy Division - Unknown Pleasures (1979) - I have a feeling this might actually hit the spot right now—I listened to it a long time ago, but I don't think I really connected with it back then.

Ugly Kid Joe - America's Least Wanted (1992) - Based on what I've heard so far, this sounds pretty promising.

Meredith Monk - Dolmen Music (1981) - Gotham Lullaby feels so soothing when it's just the music, but the vocals sort of ruin the vibe for me; I also tried The Tale, but had the same issue—I just can't seem to get into her singing.

Courtney Barnett – Sometimes I Sit and Think (2015) - I really love what this woman is doing; I hope some of you find her interesting too.

Huliti ‎– truth (2002) - No offense to whoever suggested this, but I just couldn't do it—thirty seconds was about as much as I could handle.

The Gun Club - Miami (1982) - Hmm, this is actually my favorite so far. If the rest of the album stays in the same vein as the part I've heard, it’s going to be great.

The Waterboys - this is The Sea (1985) - Man, this is also really good. It's been such a long time since I've heard The Whole of The Moon, but it always manages to transport me to another time... 😍

Red Lorry Yellow Lorry - talk About The Weather (1985) - I'm starting to think 80s albums might be the ones that resonate with me most; they're all totally new to me, so I'll definitely be digging a little deeper.

Wayne Shorter - Speak No Evil (1966) - I'm going to set this one aside for when I'm in a different headspace; I don't always have the energy for this kind of music.

Boban Petrović - Žur (1981) - I wasn't expecting this at all—quite an unusual surprise. Since it was the last suggestion, I think I'll give it a full spin.

Man, let's get some Waterboys going... maybe throw in some Gun Club too 👍

Karen Kelly35 said:Hule ‎– truth (2002) - please forgive the suggestion, but I just couldn't resist this one, half a minute was all it took...

I wonder when any of the others will finally be able to pull something like this off... ☕

David Hykes & The Harmonic Choir ‎– Harmonic Meetings (1986)

It’s that kind of moment. Timeless. Much like this album itself.

Here he goes again. And here I am, just sitting here being all polite, waiting for it to at least get past midnight... 😁

Exactly. Things are about to get crazy 😬 😳

Anyway, this thread has been such a huge win for me. Lately, I’ve realized I am absolutely vibing with Cymande and Jarre—it all started right here in these discussions. Not just the specific albums we have listed here 🙂, but their whole discographies! It’s wild to think about where this journey actually kicked off 🧐

Of course she’s fertile... I mean, she’s turning fifty tomorrow! 🙂

Ohooo, look at that, a total legend celebrating a milestone 😁

To celebrate #50, here’s one that's hitting its 50th anniversary.

NEW BOMB TURKS - At Rope's End (1998)

I just can't help myself. It’s been exactly eighteen years since, around this very time, I was
moshing at one of their shows. It might not be their absolute masterpiece, but it’s probably their most accessible
record—and, if memory serves, the final one featuring their original drummer. As they would say, just good old
rock'n'roll.

Crank this up as loud as you can!

Just a quick math correction here: we haven’t actually picked 50 albums of the week yet. It hasn't been 50 even votes because there were a few weeks where we ended up selecting more than one album. That being said, I’m feeling like diving into something that fits my mood perfectly down South 👍

Seven suggestions already, and it isn't even 10 AM. I might have to start counting down the hours ahead of time 😁

If you don't mind—I think I'll save my vote for analogbear40 since it looks like they won't get a suggestion in on time anyway—and I'll just hold onto mine for one of the next polls. Seeing a few interesting ideas here actually makes my choice a whole lot easier 🙂
