Why wouldn't you be able to? You can't do it through Tapatalk, but you could always open the subforum in a standard web browser to cast your vote.
Ultimately, just post your opinion in a comment; it's not like Edward Howard2 is some kind of stuffy formalist who won't respect your input. 🙏

Keith Rodriguez27 said:Honestly, I haven't a clue. I didn't even bother weighing in on those new rules because the changes aren't even that massive, so I just stayed quiet. Plus, since most of it boils down to how much moderators get to meddle in keeping things consistent, I feel like the real voices we need to hear are the racers who *aren't* mods—you know, seeing if they actually want the admins breathing down their necks during the race. But whatever, the majority is backing the new rules, so I guess I am too.

Then you clearly didn't read🤷
It's not like there aren't any🤷

12. A competitor can only post their predictions using the username they used to sign up, unless an admin changes it. If someone gets banned, they still have the right to play by reporting a post from their banned account containing an offer or response, which the moderator will then relay to the thread. If they don't, they'll be disqualified.

Next year's F1 super league entry order:
1. F1 super league champion
2. F1 championship winner
3. F1 tournament 1 winner
4. F1 tournament 2 winner
5. overall exact position trophy winner
6. F1 championship runner-up
7. F1 super league runner-up
8. F1 betting winner
9. F1 tournament 1 finalist
10. F1 tournament 2 finalist

22. F1 championship team champion (lower score)
23. 5th place in F1 championship

25. 5th place in F1 tournament 2

The "better" teammate is the one who scored more points.
The last-place finisher in the F1 super league at the end of the season loses 5 spots in next year's entry order for all competitions they placed in during the current season. The second-to-last finisher in the F1 super league loses 3 spots in the entry order for only their best placement in other competitions.

Look, the change regarding how the super league fills up is pretty huge. The rest mostly boils down to how the competition is run, which isn't a big deal, but that entry list itself has been overhauled, and that’s no small thing.😳

And point 12... I don't even have access to that email, so I have no clue who signed up or didn't, or who even has access to that inbox.🤷
If I'm not mistaken, Jessica Ramos12 posted that, though I doubt he even remembers the password for that email account🤷

At this rate, under the current rules, those who are banned basically can't even play. Even if they actually sent their predictions to that email, it probably wouldn't mean anything at all🤔

If you can manage to post in threads about driver numbers, colors, and charts, you can damn well vote.☕
It's not like it's hard for me to just count your vote via a post instead of the poll.

Besides, you can vote using basically any browser, whether it's Opera or even that old Verizon web service.

So, you got some genius suggestion for a list that’s actually perfect and won't need any tweaks? 🤷
I put this one together pretty fast. It’s not like I had massive issues with the old version, but the whole thing with the constructors' champions and the betting pool always bugged me a little.

It’s not like I can’t live with them on the list 🤣
But some people sure loved to complain about it 😳
Even so, it always ends up being the same deal—people whine about it depending on who the constructors' champion is and how their other results look.
When you look at that betting pool, it’s honestly kind of stupid having it on the list, but it was never really an issue because Max always wins it anyway since he gets into the league through some other competition, so it’s like it isn't even there.

Bottom line, we should probably make a "one and done" version, but god forbid we have a sensible debate about the rules before the season starts . Every single year, we get stuck arguing over totally mindless stuff like table colors 🙂
While when it comes to the important things, like the actual rules or the commissioner, there's never any intelligent discussion. 😢

I voted for the "new rules with amendments"

And honestly, it was all because of this:
9. If a competitor fails to respond to an offer or sends their response after the deadline, their opponent automatically gets the maximum number of main and total points, which is: 2 main points and 15 secondary points.
If a competitor doesn't send a response during the third round of the competition, or somehow submits an invalid response, and there's reasonable suspicion that they're doing it just to help another competitor move up the ranks, a penalty will be issued not just for them, but also for the competitor who gained the point advantage from that action. The penalty will be decided by the tournament directors and the F1 subforum moderators through a majority vote.

Look, you seriously can't go punishing someone for winning just because their opponent failed to send an offer, a response, or whatever else.

What if that winner had absolutely no clue their opponent was intentionally throwing the match to help them out?

Like, let's say you and ruggedfox28 are tied going into the final round, and I'm playing against ruggedfox28 and I decide to intentionally skip my prediction just so she wins—you'd actually strip her of the victory just because I did that behind her back without her even knowing? That's ridiculous. 🤷

Look, there's a massive difference between someone winning because you missed a reply (where only you get penalized) and two people actually colluding (where both should get hit).

Sure, proving collusion is a nightmare, and honestly, what even counts as proof?
But obviously, nobody's getting banned unless everyone* agrees and we're all certain it was a setup.
By "everyone*", I mean everyone responsible for making these calls—all the league admins and the moderators of this entire site.

My take? Penalize those cases only if there's a consensus. Same goes for punishing the guy who missed a response; you penalize him, but leave the winner alone if they weren't part of any shady deal and are totally innocent.

To me, that's the only realistic way to handle it.🤷
Honestly, I don't even expect we'll need to hand out punishments, but the rulebook needs to cover our bases regardless.

So, I went ahead and voted for the old way... mostly because I just don't have the bandwidth to sit around arguing about rule changes right now.
The pre-season debate was pretty thin, so there wasn't even much of a real choice to make when it came to voting.
As for these proposals... look, I'm obviously against moderators stepping in to call the shots, especially when they aren't actually contributing anything to making these competitions better or helping them grow.
Regarding that entry list... we're heading in the wrong direction here. They're messing with the very principles that the super league was built on in the first place. It was founded to be a league for our champions, and that's how it’s worked up until now. But next year? That won't be the case, because some champions won't even get a shot at playing. It won't feel like an "S" tier super league anymore, let alone some elite competition on the subforum.
Honestly, the list was solid from day one. They could have just left it exactly as it was last year, since it had already been tweaked back then anyway.

It's pretty obvious that this just doesn't work during the off-season.

There isn't even a host, really. If I said the hosts were making the calls, it would basically mean I'm the one deciding everything—and honestly, I just don't want that kind of responsibility.
And again, letting everyone argue over every single decision by topic... honestly, it’s just pointless.
Expecting every single player to vote on every little thing that pops up or to weigh in on every major decision is just an illusion. It's unrealistic.
Even when it comes to debating the rules—which, let's be honest, barely happens anyway—you’d think everyone would suddenly find their voice the second a decision actually gets made.

Look, this list isn't exactly perfect since I whipped it up on the fly, but honestly, it’s not like it’s too late to debate it or fix things if I need to.
It’s a little stupid to be doing this after the season has already kicked off, but I guess it's not impossible. There isn't really any massive impact on the current season anyway—at least not until we hit the halfway point.

Honestly, I think that whole thing about the team championship—especially when it’s a lesser one—is just a bad call. He shouldn't even be on the list. Even if he is, there's absolutely no way he should be ranked high up there.
It just doesn't make any sense to have someone playing in the Super League when their individual results are theoretically garbage.
Look, I think it would be pretty ridiculous if I theoretically jumped into the Superleague 2013 just because you won the championship. I finished 10th, yet here I am—the "champion" (if you can even call me that) getting a spot to race, despite not winning a single other thing in any competition.
Honestly, that would be pretty stupid. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to play it, but it’d feel totally lame considering everyone else has pulled off way better results than I have.🤷

The only thing I can think of regarding these team champions/runners-up on the list—if we're talking about making sense of things (looking at the old list)
is that a team championship should only count if that champion also managed to snag at least one decent result from a teammate (better or worse) on this same list. If they’re the only ones who did anything, then just wipe them off the list entirely. 🤷

Because if they couldn't manage to pull off even something like this:
21. a top four finish in a major Formula 1 tournament
22. a top four finish in a minor Formula 1 tournament
23. third place in the precise positioning trophy
24. fifth place in the Formula 1 championship

then I honestly have no clue why a team champion (better or worse) would get to play the Super league, while someone like a tournament finalist or a runner-up from the championship or Superleague wouldn't deserve it.

Alright, all the offers are in.🙂

Quick little update for you guys.😁
In the first post of this thread, you'll find links to the results for every round. You probably already noticed those, but here's the twist: once I've finished gathering all the offers (which I will, obviously), if you click a link like Round 1 - VN Australia
, it’ll open up a specific post containing all the results.🙂

Right now, that post just contains the offer links. Just click the one you need to respond to, hit quote, and give your answer.🙂

It’s not some groundbreaking invention, but it beats hunting through the whole thread for individual offers. Plus, you can see exactly who you're playing against right away.
Later on, I'll post the full matchups so you know exactly what needs to be done for each round, but honestly, I'm feeling too lazy for that right now.😬

Basically, as the responses roll in, I'll clear out the old links and swap them for the actual answers. Once the race wraps up, the final results go up.🙂

then I honestly have no clue why a team champion (better or worse) would get to play the Super league, while someone like a tournament finalist or a runner-up from the championship or Superleague wouldn't deserve it.

You can't look at it that way... just by using a single numerical criterion...
Even if we set aside the fact that the SL was founded as a league specifically for champions, I used several other parameters when putting this list together, and one of them is the significance of the result... and the truth is, being a team champion is a more significant result than being any runner-up, simply because they won.
If you asked ten competitors who the runner-up was in last year's second tournament or last year's championship, at least 7 or 8 of them probably wouldn't have a clue. Most of them have almost certainly forgotten who the runner-up was for last year's accurate positions trophy or one of the tournaments, maybe even the championship... it's not like they have Alzheimer's or anything... it's just that nobody remembers the second or third place spots. People only remember the winners, and honestly, anyone would trade three runner-up finishes for a single first-place trophy if they could.
Look, let’s take ruggedfox28 as an example... most people would argue he only grabbed that title because of the luck involving Ferk, but honestly, would they have even reached that title if ruggedfox28 had finished with 5 fewer points? Not a chance. Sure, Ferk played her part in making the win possible, but did she clinch it all by herself? Nope.
In a year or two, when people start listing off the champions... they’re just gonna say the title was won thanks to that final lucky break with the Ferk and ruggedfox28 combo. Is anyone actually going to care who specifically scored how many points? Not really. Is anyone even going to remember who ended up as the runner-up for the super league or the championship that year? Probably not.

Look, you might as well just kill him now before the big explosion hits in two years. Nobody actually remembers who the super league runner-up was, let alone who the champion's teammate was.

Alright, here's what I can recall off the top of my head:
2010 season

Trophy:
ruggedfox28

Jessica Ramos12

Championship:

Max
stormybadger8😍

Constructors:
Kamikaze GP 😬

Super league
Edward Howard2
Jessica Ramos12 🤔
???
stormybadger8

2nd tournament
Gilberth 🙂
stormybadger8

Who was Jessica Ramos12's teammate in the championship? Honestly, I have zero clue.
And for the record, I don't even know where they finished.🤷

The way I see it, we all have selective memory. We remember our own wins and maybe some stuff from our closest rivals, but for everything else? We're totally clueless.
For the 1st tournament, I haven't got the slightest idea who even made the podium, mostly because I wasn't anywhere near it.🤣

2009 season—all I remember is being on the same team as Sep, everything else is a total blank.😳

Instructions for banned users.

Click this link to open a new window with an offer just for you. Instead of clicking on the quote, just hit the little square in the bottom left corner.

In the login field, type out your response to the offer.

P. S. That’s how it works under the new rules. Since 6 out of 8 active super league participants voted for them, it's pretty obvious the new rules are hitting this season.😉

P. S. Naturally, the new rules kick in once the poll closes—basically after March 16, 2012, at 10:02 AM.
So if you're sending a response, wait until March 10 or later.😉

Just because someone is the teammate of a champion doesn't mean they're a team champion... like, just recently Jessica Ramos grabbed an individual title but didn't win the team one...
A champion is a champion... plain and simple. You could argue for dropping the team runners-up and third-place finishers from the list, and maybe that would make more sense... but when it comes to champions, they earned their spot in the super league, so they should stay. And both deserve it, because one player can't win a team title alone if their teammate scores zero points.
The top eight should be the champions—that's why the super league was even started. As for their specific ranking or the people sitting from ninth place downwards... you could debate that forever and change the list every single year, which is what happens, though I don't really see the point. We've had two seasons of the super league now, both were pretty fun and didn't have major issues. In fact, the super league has been the most stable of the three big competitions. I don't get why people are pushing for these changes when there's no need for them. Honestly, I'm convinced these tweaks will do more to break the super league next year than actually improve the competition...

What can I even say? Six of this year's super league players voted for a list that doesn't even have the team champions at the top, yet somehow you're the only one pushing back🤷

Besides, plenty of people have been complaining about this for ages.
Once this poll wraps up and you put together a proposed list—if you actually have one—then we'll vote on it:

Your new guy
The old guy
My guy
And maybe whoever else pops up.

Like I said, changing it isn't exactly rocket science after the first race. At least, I don't see it being a big deal.

Like I said, changing it isn't exactly rocket science after the first race. At least, I don't see it being a big deal.

They only voted because there was just one rule proposal to pick from, and honestly, because you were sliding into their DMs asking them to vote... otherwise, you wouldn't even have half these votes...
Most people don't even care where the team champions end up... which we saw when I was putting lists together and placing the team champions in the top 8, and nobody besides you said a word... and I built that list after thinking it through seriously while I was basically the reigning champ of almost everything and running the whole show, so I wasn't playing favorites. Meanwhile, you're over here claiming you threw your list together last minute and it might not even be that great... 🤣

Who didn't complain?🤣
Gilbert was complaining, loud and clear, the whole time. He almost quit the Super League entirely because of it.
If I remember right, Paški & Ferk🤣 were also throwing fits way back in the season before last.😁
Rosie was complaining too, if memory serves, along with a few other guys.

Bottom line: I don't recall anyone actually wanting the team champions moved down the list, aside from your own teammates.😛

Anyway, here's the first person who absolutely doesn't need this, and I have zero intention of playing the Super League based on some teammate's merits.😁

Yeah... you went ahead and put that list together exactly how Gilbert wanted it, only for him to decide he wasn't even interested in playing in the end. 🤣🤣
I don't recall seeing Paški & Ferk Buniti just the other day... send me a link... anyone else?
Look, there’s another red flag you might want to consider regarding things going sideways in the ESPN F1 Super League 2012. If you look at the last two years, they kicked off the season with the top eight heavy hitters on the grid. But this season? Not a single one of the top eight is even in the mix, and now the first reserve is refusing to step up. It’s getting messy. Honestly, if this keeps up, next year is probably going to be an absolute train wreck. But hey, feel free to keep digging your heels in and insisting you're right. 😉
