LAUSANNE VS. SERVETTE......... 1 2.15

"The relegation scrap." If Servette doesn't pull this off tonight, they’re heading straight down to the minor leagues.
Last week, the home side grabbed a massive 3-0 win against a really solid Luzern squad—they've been playing great lately—so they're feeling a lot more relaxed going into this matchup. They’ve got a 4-point cushion, which means Servette basically needs to win at home tonight, then turn around and beat Luzern in the final round, all while hoping Lausanne slips up against Grass next week... I mean, look, it’s not totally impossible, but...
Tonight, the Lausanne players pretty much have everything in their hands—well, their feet, I guess! A draw is plenty for them; if they walk away with even a point, they stay up.
One thing that really jumped out at me while I was skimming the papers was what the Servette president was saying... you can just read between the lines, you know? He’s basically saying anyone can pray for a miracle, but he’s being realistic by talking about how they started the club's stabilization process way back when. He’s hinting that if they *do* go down, things will actually settle into place and they'll just aim for an immediate promotion next season. Apparently, the sponsors are all on board with this "stabilization" plan and everyone is backing him... etc., etc. Honestly, I think even they realize tonight is a suicide mission! Of course, they'll try, but if I were the Lausanne manager, I’d just sit deep and play nothing but counterattacks... seriously, if Servette concedes in the first 25 or 30 minutes? It's game over. The second goal would come almost immediately.
So, here's the deal: we've got one team that absolutely *must* win—meaning they're going to be playing aggressively because there's no other way—and another team that's perfectly happy with a tie. It all comes down to whether the home coach knows how to exploit that desperation, and since the visitors have the worst defense in the league, I'm putting my money on a Lausanne win!

53/39 (I guess that’s about a 97.22% hit rate with some solo wins)
slips: 2/13 (44.85/32)

Norrkoping/over 2.5 goals + AIK win......yes @ 2.05
Djurgarden vs Kalmar.......draw @ 1.45

Slask/over 2.5 goals vs Lech............yes @ 1.70

16.L: for 3/10

-Norr over 2.5 happened 7/10 times, and AIK won 6/10 times lately
-Djurgarden’s been going 2-2-6 (7:22) recently, while Kalmar is at 4-4-2 (12-8). I mean, Kalmar is a far cry from those legendary days they had maybe 3 or 4 seasons ago, but I honestly think the bottom-feeders might actually pull this one off... So just to be safe, I added the draw to my bet, which feels like a solid value given the stats, I guess.
-Slask really ought to push for the win here, because if they don't, they're basically looking at an exit from the Conference League since they only have a one-point lead... On the flip side, Lech totally lost their momentum after that head-to-head against Legia, and it seems like they've mentally checked out and started dropping points at home, even against the basement dwellers. They didn't score in those last two games, which is crazy because that hasn't happened all season, so I feel like they should finally find the net today, even if the game doesn't strictly matter for them anymore.

FLEKKEROY - KICKOFF............ 2 (-1.5) 1.90

Go with the Norwegians.
Honestly, I’ve never even heard of the home team in my entire life—seriously!🙂
I spent some time poking around their website, trying to dig up anything useful about them...
I even went down a rabbit hole watching highlights from their match against Sandnes Ulf where they pulled off a 2-0 win about a month ago... back then, their odds were sitting around 7.00.
So yeah, they definitely caught people off guard then, but looking at things now, it seems like the visitors are showing up with a stacked lineup—whatever that actually means for this matchup.
I stumbled upon this hilarious little clip earlier of the hardcore home fans—let's call them the ULTRAS (there are only 7 of them, I counted!)—setting off flares and smoke bombs and just screaming their heads off... totally wild.🤣
There's a massive mid-season break coming up, so we should expect a top-tier squad tonight. Start is one of those teams that absolutely lives for Cup matches—and you can tell because they've made it to five semifinals, though their last run was way back in 2011.
To be perfectly blunt, things haven't exactly been sunshine and rainbows for Start this season, but the gap in talent between these two sides is just too obvious to ignore—I just really hope the home team doesn't get overconfident.
At the end of the day, even those die-hard fans mentioned above (all 7 of 'em🙂) aren't going to be enough to save the home side tonight.

I'm heading out today with Flamengo @ 1.45, which is an absolutely powerhouse club that consistently sits right at the top of the table; with Forlán and the rest of the squad in the mix, they should have no problem handling these visitors, especially since the opposition is dealing with a couple of key absences, including their two best players.

The second leg of this play is Mineiro @ 1.45, coming off a solid win in their first match where they wisely rotated some starters during their league game against Coritiba—a matchup I actually caught when they lost. I really think there’s going to be plenty of scoring opportunities here because the Mexican side is going to be forced to play an open, aggressive game to catch up.

Chicago Fire vs. LA Galaxy............f+2@1,45ss
Seattle Sounders vs. Portland Timbers............2@1,45ss

St. Louis City SC.....................2@2,00ss

17th Matchday: 5/10

-So, Chicago and Seattle are basically neck-and-neck for that top spot which moves them up a tier, and since there's only five games left, they really shouldn't be dropping points against teams like LA Galaxy (sitting 14th out of 16) on the road, or Seattle (11th) who have been going 4-3-6 lately.
-And man, St. Louis is absolutely struggling, coming off seven straight losses, including one at home in the Cup against today's opponent (1:4 back on May 1st). I guess IFK being 2nd in the league makes these odds look super weird to me, because if they end up choking, someone should probably check their roster to see if they're missing key starters, since statistically they should win this easily (unless, I don't know, we're just looking for a way to break that seven-game losing streak😉).

Real Murcia-UD Las Palmas 2 @ 1.80

Total classic!
Las Palmas absolutely needs these three points if they want to lock in that playoff spot—it’s everything right now. Ponferradina totally choked last round, which basically handed the keys over to Las Palmas to decide their own fate. On the flip side, Murcia is pretty much out of the running after that disaster last week. Plus, Murcia is dealing with a massive headache regarding injuries... honestly, they were already pulling guys up from the G-League squad just to fill the gaps last game! Can you imagine?

US World Cup Qualifiers

Jamaica vs Mexico: 2-1 at DraftKings

After three matches in the final CONCACAF qualifying round, Mexico finds itself in an unexpectedly low fifth place... yet they remain just two points behind the group leaders, Panama. Over the next week, Mexico faces a grueling triple header, starting today with an away match against Jamaica—whom they played to a scoreless draw back in February—followed by another road test against Panama on June 8th, before finally returning home to face Costa Rica on June 12th. These matchups against nations that aren't traditionally football powerhouses represent a vital window for Mexico to claw their way back to the top of the standings...
The Mexican captain, Javier Rodriguez, has made it clear that there is absolutely no room for error this time, noting that after that frustrating draw at home earlier this year, the squad's focus must be exclusively on securing wins...
Mexico kicks off this stretch today in the intense heat of Kingston. Historically, they have been incredibly resilient in the Caribbean, suffering only a single loss in the region over the last decade. Meanwhile, Jamaica is clinging to hope, banking on the momentum they built during their recent scoreless encounter with the Mexicans...
Mexico’s primary weapon remains Chicharito, coming off a brace in their recent friendly against Nigeria, though the roster features plenty of depth beyond him, even if this specific iteration isn't quite the greatest squad the nation has ever produced...

The team is currently in peak competitive form as they balance these qualifiers with preparations for the Confederations Cup in Brazil, set to begin on June 15th. It felt as though the Nigeria match was little more than a glorified training session, suggesting they weren't playing at full tilt, which implies they will be operating at one hundred percent capacity today... anything less than a victory would only distance them further from the dream of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil...

Criciuma vs. Santos FC, Over 2.5 goals at +2.15

Even though Santos is feeling the void left by Neymar, they’re still an incredibly talented squad that knows how to compete. They didn't walk away with a win in their opening match, but if you watched them, it was pretty clear they played well—they just lacked that bit of luck and couldn't quite bury their chances when it mattered most. Looking ahead to today, I’m expecting Criciuma to find the back of the net, especially since their manager has been vocal about sticking to their aggressive, attacking style of play. They're playing on home turf where they feel confident, so I'm anticipating a high-scoring affair with a few goals on both sides.

Criciuma: Bruno; Sueliton, Matheus Ferraz, Ewerton Páscoa, and Marlon; Serginho, Elton, and João Vitor; Lins, Marcel, and Fabinho.

Santos FC: Rafael; Galhardo, Edu Dracena, Durval, and Léo; Renê Júnior, Arouca, Cícero, and Felipe Anderson; Neilton and Willian José.

USA U21 vs Russia U21 -> 1, 1.55 @ DraftKings

The Americans kick off their European Championship campaign today, entering the tournament as the clear favorites... Their qualifying run was nothing short of dominant, cruising through the group stage with seven wins and a single draw before dispatching the Danes in the playoffs. Looking at this roster, it’s frankly intimidating: names like David de Gea, Marc Bartra, Martin Montoya, Thiago, Sergio Canales, Koke, Isco, Cristian Tello, Alvaro Morata, and Iker Muniai... It is quite a formidable lineup. On the other side, you have the Russians, who are finally back on the big stage after a fifteen-year drought, though they are starting at a disadvantage since their star player, Dzagojev, is unavailable due to a senior national team call-up. They weren't exactly convincing during the group stages, going 5-2-1, though they did manage to knock out the Czechs in the playoffs. Given how cohesive and powerful the American squad appears to be, I struggle to see any outcome other than an American victory...

Netherlands U21 vs Germany U21 -> 1X, 1.60 @ DraftKings

Both sides arrived at this tournament with a singular focus: capturing the championship title. Germany has been rising through the youth ranks lately and brought a solid squad to the table, featuring captain Lewis Holtby along with Lasogga from Hertha, Mlapa from Gladbach, and Sebastien Rudy from Eintracht... The primary concern might be their defense, which seems somewhat inexperienced and hasn't played many matches together. The Dutch have also assembled a highly respectable team led by captain Kevin Strootman, alongside Wijnaldum, Martins Indi, and van Rhijnem—names that are a bit of a mouthful to pronounce. This is a pivotal match, as the loser will find themselves fighting an uphill battle against the Americans just to secure second place. While both teams possess immense attacking potential, the German defense looks vulnerable to me. I am honestly puzzled as to why the Germans are ranked as the second favorites while the Dutch sit at fifth, and I don't particularly see Germany walking away with a win today, so I'll take the double chance on the Netherlands...

St. Louis City vs. Atlanta United 2 @ 3.10
X2 @ 1.55

Atlanta to score @ 1.40

Honestly, I’m a bit baffled by these odds on the visitors—they’re the defending champs, after all—and they’ve looked sharp right out of the gate this season. Granted, it’s only been two matches so far, but they’ve cruised through both with a 5:1 aggregate goal difference... so, you know, they aren't exactly struggling 🤷.
Plus, looking at the history here, they’ve managed to pull off the win in their last three head-to-head matchups 🤷.

USA - Scotland 2 @ 1.80

I honestly don't think Scotland has much to offer us tomorrow. They aren't going to be the ones dictating the tempo; everything really rests on our shoulders... They're missing a massive chunk of their core players, specifically: Danny Fox (DF, Southampton), Christophe Berra (DF, Wolves), Charlie Mulgrew (DF, Celtic), Charlie Adam (MF, Stoke), Kenny Miller (ATT, Vancouver), Steven Fletcher (ATT, Sunderland), Gary Caldwell (DF, Wigan), Scott Brown (MF, Celtic), Lee Wallace (DF, Rangers), and Liam Bridcutt (MF, Brighton). On our side, we’ll be without Luka Modric and Vedran Corluka (and I won't even mention Virgil van Dijk, since I doubt he'd play anyway), but Mateo Kovacic should be able to cover those gaps quite well. We're playing at home and we've got some serious momentum. With guys like Mario Mandzukic and Andre Schürrle looking sharp in the attack, and knowing our keeper has been putting in solid shifts for teams like Zenit lately—he was actually incredible in those last two matches against Wales and Mexico, pulling off some absolute miracle saves... the whole squad seems to be in high spirits. Considering goal difference might be a factor, this feels like the perfect moment to pad our stats...

Belgium - Mexico 1 @ 1.60

Hazard is back for Belgium, though they'll be missing Thomas Vermaelen. Their starting keeper, Thibaut Courtois, had a bit of a scare with a knee issue during training two days ago, but he'll most likely suit up. As for Mexico, they're missing Mit Mitrovic, Nikola Milenkovic, and Kalidou Koulibaly; plus, Aleksandar Mitrovic and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic haven't even been called up again. Based on the chatter and the fan reactions, the current coaching staff and management are arguably among the worst to ever lead the national team. Regarding Mexico's future, they probably won't even make it to the World Cup in the States. The manager has already hinted he'll step down if they lose tomorrow, which wasn't really a surprise given how poorly he's handled the team. He hasn't called up several players who absolutely deserve a spot based on their club form, and he's been clashing with the fans from day one. There's even speculation that he might field some younger players just to boost their market value this summer. On the flip side, Belgium is primed and ready, much like us. They finally have a roster capable of making a deep run in a major tournament. They're playing in front of a home crowd that expects nothing less than a win, and the stadium is already sold out. They need this victory just as much as we do to maintain that top seed. It's very likely that our head-to-head matchup in New York will decide who goes straight to the big stage and who ends up in the playoffs. So far in qualifying, they've only conceded one goal, and that was against us at home. Honestly, I struggle to see how a team as disorganized as Mexico can pull anything off. I can't help but wonder if Mexico might walk into this match completely unburdened, perhaps using a strange lineup, essentially "handing" Belgium the win to secure their top spot and keep us stuck in the playoffs instead... 😁

Latvia - Canada 2 @ 1.60

According to the latest FIFA rankings, Latvia is sitting at 119th—their lowest standing ever. They'll be playing without their talisman, who is basically their version of an American superstar, except we actually have depth to cover our stars, whereas they certainly do not. For Canada, Miralem Pjanic and Vedad Ibišević are returning, though they'll be missing Edin Dzeko and Senad Lulić. Canada is currently holding the top spot in their group and they have a fantastic squad; if they don't capitalize now, I really don't know when they will. Plus, they'll have about 1,500 to 2,000 traveling fans there, so it shouldn't be much of a struggle for them...

Would love to hear your thoughts on these matchups... 🙂

Regarding the USA vs. Mexico game... there’s a lot of doubt about whether Hazard and their starting goalie are actually going to suit up.
Both guys are playing the injury card, but honestly? I still think we’re walking away with a win regardless.
Everything else remains the same for me. I would’ve played against the Americans too, and I think we can cover the +2 spread without much trouble. Even Stimac mentioned we need to fix our goal differential... if we don't step it up today, we never will.🙂

TOURNAMENT - YOUNG TALENT SHOWCASE

Seattle Sounders vs. Valencia: 1 (Home Win) at 1.60 odds

Look, after Seattle absolutely dismantled Galatasaray yesterday and Aarhus managed to pull off a win against Valencia, the landscape is starting to shift. Based on what the Seattle coach had to say after the match regarding their rivals, he wasn't pulling any punches—he noted that Valencia showed up with a heavily rotated, youthful squad and essentially labeled them the weakest link in the group. He’s clearly eyeing a top spot in the standings alongside Aarhus, which gives me plenty of confidence. I'm calling it: expect a Seattle victory here.

USA (-1.5) - Scotland 1 @ 2.04 Marathon 5/10

Even without Pulisic in the lineup, I’m taking this bet—the Americans are significantly better than the Scots. I’ve watched about three of Scotland's recent matches, and frankly, they haven't impressed me one bit.
Quite the opposite of what some might expect. Their attack is sterile and lacks any real vision, while the defense is sluggish and prone to mistakes. On top of that, they’re missing several key players, particularly in the backline. I expect the US to win comfortably—they’re in great form, and the vibe surrounding this team is better than it's ever been.

Belgium - Mexico 1 @ 1.53 Marathon 5/10

The Belgians have an elite squad—I'd go as far as saying it's deeper and more talented than ours—and they play a very disciplined game that keeps them right in line with the top tier.
They have plenty of attacking depth, which allows them to maintain that aggressive style.
On the other hand, Mexico is a mess. They’ve already fallen apart—classic mentality issues there—with the coach practically hinting at resigning and several star players refusing to suit up.
Playing away against Belgium, they lost 3-0 despite a decent first half; once they conceded that first goal, they completely crumbled.

World Cup Qualifiers

Slovakia vs. Liechtenstein (-1) (h-1) 2 2.01 @ DraftKings

My analysis for today centers on those matchups where the favorites are hunting for second place in their groups... a position that keeps the dream of a playoff spot alive, depending entirely on how the brackets shake out. The first side to catch my eye is Slovakia, traveling away to face Liechtenstein. The numbers heavily favor the Slovaks, who have managed seven wins and one draw in eight meetings against this opponent, without a single loss to their name. Liechtenstein recently played a friendly against Poland and dropped it 2-0; the Polish manager noted that while they played well initially, they seemed to lose steam after the break. It’s unlikely Liechtenstein will simply sit back and play for a zero, so they'll attempt to create chances, which plays right into the hands of the Slovakian players waiting to exploit any opening. For Slovakia, securing these three points is paramount if they want to stay in the hunt for that runner-up spot. As their coach suggested, the plan is to strike early to deflate the opposition mentally and control the tempo until the final whistle. They won their previous encounter 2-0 back in December, and I suspect we might see a similar result here...

Ireland vs. Faroe Islands (iuo) 12 1.40 @ DraftKings

Much like Slovakia, Ireland is fighting for that crucial second-place finish. While Germany has the top spot effectively locked down, Austria, Sweden, and Ireland are all vying for the runner-up position. In terms of matchmaking, Ireland couldn't have asked for a more favorable opponent than the Faroe Islands. Following their recent 4-0 friendly win over Georgia, I expect a similarly dominant performance from the Irish side...
Robbie Keane is set to become the all-time appearance leader for Ireland with his 126th cap.
Trapattoni will likely field a slightly altered lineup compared to what was seen against England.
James McCarthy and James Long are both suspended for this match.
I don't see the Faroe Islands presenting much of an obstacle, and I anticipate Ireland handling this with professional ease, likely seeing more than 2.5 goals in the process. My prediction remains an Irish victory with over 2.5 total goals...

St. Louis City SC vs. Charlotte FC -1 2.020

After that tough loss against Inter Miami, St. Louis really needs to step up and secure a win against a Charlotte side that, much like last season, is going to be fighting tooth and nail just to stay out of the relegation zone. It’s worth noting that the home team is going to be shorthanded since Fabio Santos and Emerson Sheik are both sitting out on suspension. Personally, I was leaning toward taking the handicap for a decisive victory, but I decided to play it a bit safer this time around. The match isn't actually until tomorrow, but since I won't be around the house then, I figured I'd get my action in now.

Venezuela vs Uruguay 2 @ 2.55

Seriously, if Uruguay doesn't pull this off, we might as well start saying goodbye to any hope of a world title, right? I mean—besides the fact that their roster is twice as talented—they’ve also got two extra days of rest on their side! Plus, Venezuela is gonna be absolutely gassed after playing way up in the mountains in Bolivia at that crazy altitude. Sure, they managed to squeak out a 1-0 win against "France" the other day in a friendly, but let's be real—that doesn't mean much. Uruguay is looking complete, and honestly, at 2.55, why wouldn't you put a single on them for a high-stakes game like this?

Confederations Cup

Tahiti vs Nigeria f2 @ 1.30

Honestly, Tahiti is hands down the worst squad I've ever seen show up to an international tournament. Seriously—except for their one superstar Vahirua (34) playing for Panthrakikos, the entire roster plays in their local domestic league. On the flip side, you've got Nigeria, which is absolutely stacked with internationals playing for top-tier clubs all over the world. Look, I know this tournament doesn't carry the same weight as the World Cup, but for teams outside the elite tier, it’s still a massive chance to prove something—so Nigeria is going to take this way more seriously than, say, Italy or Spain would

The stakes feel higher here, right? I just don't see any realistic way for Tahiti to keep this within a single goal. They aren't even going to escape with less than a two-goal deficit, especially considering how much they struggled against New Caledonia—who is also kind of a joke, by the way; they actually lost 0-4 at home to them!

USA (-1) vs Cyprus (h-1) 1 1.64 @ DraftKings

Everything seemed to align perfectly for the Americans yesterday—with Iceland dropping points and Norway settling for a draw against Albania—leaving them with a golden opportunity to pull ahead by four points and secure some breathing room in this group... Today’s matchup against Cyprus feels like just the kind of game they should handle comfortably, and I certainly don't expect them to fall victim to an upset quite like our guys did yesterday...
Roughly three months ago, these same teams met in Cyprus, resulting in a scoreless stalemate... The US coach, Jurgen Klinsmann, has made it clear he won't allow the complacency we saw during that previous encounter to creep in today...
Klinsmann has called up Mario Garcia for this stretch, though he hasn't finalized the lineup yet, noting that he intends to play whoever is currently hitting their stride, which leaves the tactical decision of running a single striker versus a pair somewhat uncertain...
Cyprus, meanwhile, understands they are the underdogs here and isn't expecting much beyond a respectable showing... They know the US is the heavy favorite in this group, and they'll be playing without four key players who were present during the last meeting, most notably the reigning MVP of the Cypriot league, Dimitris Christofidis...
I suspect the US won't let such a perfect opening slip through their fingers; they'll likely push forward aggressively from the jump to try and settle things in the first half...
My prediction is a decisive win for the USA with a margin of more than one goal...

World Cup Qualifiers

Zambia vs Lesotho (iuo) 12 1.65 @ DraftKings

Zambia sits in a group with Ghana, and until yesterday, they held the top spot by a single point... However, after Ghana secured all three points in Sudan to leapfrog them, Zambia finds themselves back in the hunt to catch up... Their opponent today, Lesotho, plays decently enough at home, but they tend to struggle significantly on the road, often serving as easy targets for goal difference... they were actually dismantled 7-0 by Ghana in their opening away match...
Zambia's primary objective is to squeeze out six maximum points from their remaining fixtures against Lesotho and Sudan, setting the stage for a high-stakes showdown against Ghana on their turf later this fall...
Given that they managed to edge out Ghana 1-0 previously, I believe they'll handle Lesotho with ease, leaning toward a Zambian victory in a match featuring more than two goals...

Atlanta United vs. FC Cincinnati 2,20
Double Chance 3,90

Look, in their last four meetings over in Atlanta, Atlanta United just can't seem to get anything past Cincinnati.
The last time they actually managed to pull off a home win against them was way back in July 2007—a 3-0 blowout, if you can believe it.
And honestly? In their last nine matchups, Atlanta has only walked away with one single win, and even that was an away game... so yeah, things aren't looking great.
They’re absolutely decimated today, too. If Cincinnati manages to walk out of Mercedes-Benz Stadium without a loss, I wouldn't be surprised one bit...🤷
I mean, the roster is a total disaster right now—they're missing basically half the squad. You've got four guys away on international duty, three sitting out on suspensions, and another four sidelined with injuries... it's a complete mess.
