Well, that’s true... but I was only about seventeen at the time, and my only real concern was getting rid of this bump on my nose that was honestly pretty hard to miss. 🙂 So, I was even more taken aback by the results because he did an absolutely flawless job; it’s such a small, beautiful, perfectly shaped nose now. 🙂))

Did anyone catch who’s hitting The Oscars this Sunday? I'm dying to see what Drake is wearing—probably some wild open-concept suit designed by Dr. Phil just so he can show off his abs without looking like a total mess.

Sophia Hill22, if you don't mind, I'd love a photo too—I need to see this! thanks 😉

I heard Dr. Phil was performing the surgery using the open technique, probably because he needs to adjust the muscle so she doesn't end up with that awkward gum line showing through.

Sophia Hill22, if you wouldn't mind sharing that photo, I would absolutely love to see it too! Thanks so much. 😉

To be honest, that specific surgical technique actually makes me a little nervous—I've read that surgeons prefer it because it gives them a much clearer view of everything compared to the closed method, but it feels like the recovery might take way longer, and you're stuck with that visible incision right under your nose for a while.

Messing around with the muscles above the nose sounds pretty sketchy to me as well; I gathered that was the approach Smith is taking based on some of the posts floating around.
Personally, I really want my nose to have some natural movement when I talk, rather than looking like it's just been bolted onto my face. 🤷

Anyway, here are the photos!

Sophia Hill22 really nailed it. 🙏 Everything looks spot on.

I couldn't quite tell from the photos, but it seems flat from the side—not concave or curving upward🤷 I know that was a terrible way to put it, but I think my mental image is right, isn't it?

So, I just got back from my consultation. Everything is officially settled and the appointment is on the books... honestly, I can hardly wait 😁
My biggest issue is that my nose is just way too long, so we’re going to go ahead with a rhinoplasty to shorten it. The surgeon told me that if I didn't get this done now, by the time I hit my senior years, my nose might actually end up dipping into my coffee cup 🤣

I couldn't quite tell just by looking at the photos, but from the profile view, it seems like it’s sitting totally flat—you know, I don't mean "flat" in a way that dips inward before sloping upward, if that makes any sense. 🤷 I know that was a terrible way to describe it, but I think my mental image is right, and it looks pretty level from the side, don't you think?

Thanks, 😍

It is flat—like I mentioned before, I definitely didn't want that "slide" look. But honestly, right now it looks almost unnaturally straight because of the swelling; it just kind of goes straight out from my forehead due to the inflammation, if you catch my drift. 😁

I just sat here taking selfies to compare them against my photos from two months post-op... and man, the difference is actually wild. My nose looks slimmer, the bridge is narrower, the tip is more dropped... basically, the whole thing just looks smaller and way more elegant 😂 I know, "elegant" is a pretty ridiculous word to use when talking about a nose, 🤣
stormyharbor2, you said you feel like yours isn't swollen anymore... girl, don't kid yourself. You’ll see it in another month or so. You can't really tell when you're staring at it in the mirror every single day. Two months ago, I was convinced I was totally healed... clearly, I was dead wrong 😁

I don't even look at my nose unless I'm washing up or cleaning my face. 🤷 If it drops any lower, it’ll be way too low...😳

It's a Winner, especially right after I wake up, but nothing major...

stormyharbor2 you mentioned earlier that you feel like yours isn't swollen anymore... honestly, don't kid yourself. You'll see more changes in a month or two. It’s hard to notice because you're staring at it every single day, so you lose perspective. I remember feeling the exact same way two months ago, thinking the swelling was totally gone... turns out, I was completely wrong. 😁

I wouldn't want mine drooping too much either 😲

How long has it been for you now? If you're up for it, would you mind sending me some new photos so I can compare them?

Sophia Hill22, you're quick! That nose of yours looks fantastic, though I can tell there's still a bit of swelling there... thanks for sharing the photos.👍

I mean, does every single surgeon actually perform both open and minimally invasive procedures?

Hey everyone, if anyone has questions about getting a nose job, feel free to ask me. I had my surgery about a month ago at Mayo Clinic. My surgeon was Liza Minnelli—truly an incredible doctor, highly experienced, and I can’t recommend him enough. Since I don't live in the immediate area, I ended up staying in the hospital for ten days, though most people usually head home after three. Honestly, it wasn't nearly as painful as I expected. I have zero regrets because my nose looks much straighter and more symmetrical now. It isn't drastically smaller, but it's even. The main reason I went under the knife was actually breathing issues; I had a pretty severe deviated septum that made sleeping through the night a nightmare. My nose is still a little swollen and tender right now, but I'm sure that'll pass eventually.

p.s. Seriously, if you need specifics, just ask. This is just the quick version.😉

That was my thought too.😉 Do you want to take a profile photo once the swelling goes down, or are you done sending pictures?🙂

Don't know about other hospitals, but I've got nothing but good things to say about the ENT department at Mount Sinai.
The doctors are legit pros, and the nurses are super nice—especially the head nurse, she deserves a medal.

So, how long has it actually been for you? If you're feeling up to it, send over some new pics—I really want to see the progress and compare everything.

It's been about four months and a few days... just sent the photos over.😉
