Must be nice. I was actually in shock. And mind you, I usually have a pretty high pain tolerance...

So, what’s the verdict on how Glusac handles tampon removal? Any thoughts?

I already explained it above. 🤷 Honestly, regardless of how the surgeon handles it, you're going to feel it. Or maybe you won't...

Sorry, I had no idea you were seeing Glušac... honestly, now I'm actually a little spooked...🙄

I don’t even know how to describe this sensation—it’s just this weird, off-kilter feeling that I can't quite put a finger on. It’s uncomfortable, sure, but it passes so fast that it isn't exactly a catastrophe... at least, not for me. 😁

Carol Diaz31 said:My mom removed her cast three days ago. Everything is still swollen and wide, naturally, so I won't offer a definitive opinion yet. However, she did mention that my nose looks better than hers.

Even though we had similar noses—hers just had a more pronounced hump—our noses look completely different now. I am glad I chose Tončić. 😁

As for me, I think my nose looks great. It’s only been five weeks, but I’m already happy with the shape. That said, a small "bump" has appeared in the middle. I can't tell by touch if it's something subcutaneous, like a pimple, or if it's part of the bone structure. 😕 I recall reading on some forums that other women experienced something similar, though I don't remember the exact details.
All I know is that it hurts if I apply pressure, or even when I apply foundation with a sponge. I have to tap it rather than swipe, because swiping causes pain.

Has anyone else dealt with this?

That happened to me after my first surgery. I went under the knife because my nose was severely deviated and I couldn't breathe—though honestly, breathing isn't much better now, so it wasn't a huge fix. A tiny lump appeared between my eyes a few months later. Also, after they shaved the bridge, my nasal bones ended up wider than before; they were cut and then reset wider, which makes no sense. Anyway, I had to go back in for a second procedure to remove the lump. It was done under local anesthesia, and I can tell you: the sensation was terrible.
It resulted in an extra day in the hospital. When the second doctor was removing my sutures, he actually muttered to himself that the job hadn't been done quite right. It was awful. There were three other women in my room; some told me this was their second or third time going back for corrective surgery.
Now, I suffer from chronic sinus issues. My health is worse than it was before, and I'll likely need another surgery because I'm constantly dealing with colds due to the congestion. 👎
I don't know if this is happening to others, but in my opinion, two surgeries, a week of blood tests and pain, and permanent sinus problems aren't worth any cosmetic procedure. That is just my take, based on my experience. I can't speak for everyone else. 🤷

Pro tip: just shove his hand along to speed things up... 🤣 Honestly, it’s really quick—you just gotta grit your teeth and power through it. That’s the only part that actually hurts... I mean, it’s a nasty sensation, sure, but there's really nothing to be afraid of...

Sandra Peterson74 said:I experienced something similar following my first surgery, though my situation was a bit different—I had my nose done because it was completely deviated to one side, making it nearly impossible to breathe. And honestly? Even now, I can't breathe much better. It didn't really help at all. A few months after that initial procedure, this tiny little bump started forming right between my eyes. On top of that, for some reason, my nasal bridge actually looks wider than it did before they operated on me. They cut it and reshaped it, yet somehow it ended up broader? I have absolutely no clue how that’s even possible. Anyway, I eventually had to go back under the knife just to get that bump removed. This time it was just local anesthesia, and I have to say... it was an absolutely horrific sensation.
So, because of that whole mess, they actually kept me in the hospital for an extra day. And get this—when the second doctor was coming in to remove my staples, he literally muttered to himself right in front of me about how the whole thing hadn't even been done properly to begin with... I mean, good grief, honestly. It’s just terrifying. To make matters worse, there were three other girls in my room at the time, and some of them were telling me that this was already their second or third time having to go back in for surgery. It's just... I don't know. It makes you wonder.
It’s getting ridiculous. It feels like I'm dealing with sinus infections every single time I turn around lately. Honestly, my health feels worse now than it ever did before. I guess it’s becoming pretty obvious that I'll probably have to go back under the knife for nose surgery... I'm constantly fighting off these constant colds just because of this, and it's just exhausting.👎
I don't know if anyone else is dealing with this right now, but honestly? I’m starting to think that undergoing two separate surgeries, followed by an entire week of being bedridden with constant pain and dealing with chronic sinus inflammation... it just isn't worth it. I mean, I can't say for sure what everyone else thinks about cosmetic procedures or whatever, but from where I’m standing—based strictly on my own hellish experience—it feels like a losing game. Maybe some people have better luck, I guess, but for me, the trade-off just doesn't add up.🤷

It used to be right there on the bridge of my nose, but it's gone now... I think it was just some kind of deep, subcutaneous pimple or something like that. Anyway, the pain has finally subsided, so I guess it's resolving itself.

I am honestly just so incredibly sorry you had to go through that. It’s absolutely gutting when you pour everything you have into a treatment, only to be left sitting there with nothing but lingering health issues to show for it. I mean, it’s just wrong. Maybe—and I’m just guessing here, but maybe—it would have been better to seek out a second opinion or at least consult a different specialist the second time around? Just to be sure. 🤷

So, I finally booked my consultations with Bastajić and Glusac for late April! First step is officially in the books, though I’m not gonna lie, I was low-key freaking out about it. When I called Bastajić, the nurse picked up and she was actually super sweet, but then Glusac took over the line himself. Good grief, does he ever stop talking? He talks so fast I could barely wrap my head around what he was saying!!!! But honestly, he really does come off as that totally detached, indifferent type everyone warned me about, even just over the phone. I guess we'll see if either of them actually clicks with me!

He’s always answering on both his cell and his office line at the same time. 😁

Good luck!

I’ll survive... I just hope I don't end up being the one unlucky enough to be left holding the bag while everyone else walks away unscathed...
Just my luck, really... -.-
As for how things look... honestly, I wouldn't even know if Glusac would bother emailing me photos of his "handiwork"... there isn't a single clear shot on his website, just profile views... and frankly, I couldn't care less about a side profile.

If you actually go in for a consultation, he'll just show you everything on his computer screen right then and there.

Kate Taylor59 said:Hey, how come you didn't go with Dr. Glusac? His work on nose shapes is amazing, but I've heard so many girls dealing with breathing issues after their surgery...

Hmm... Honestly, my breathing is totally fine right now. And I don't think there's much anyone can do to mess things up at this stage... I don't know.

As for Glusac, I’ve heard quite a few people walk away unhappy... plus, a friend of mine went to him and he did a pretty terrible job. 😢

Look, there are unhappy people everywhere—even with the doctor you’re planning to see 😉 That’s just how it works—everyone has their own opinion, and doctors are only human after all 😉

But honestly? When there’s a massive wave of dissatisfied patients, I’d start paying attention and asking myself some hard questions... I've been following this thread since page one, and if I were in your shoes, I definitely wouldn't go to the first guy because of all the complaints—though I wouldn't go to the second one either, just because I'm not a fan of his nose. Personally, I'd give any other doctor a shot at a consultation.

My advice? Read this entire thread from the very beginning. Don't take everything you read as gospel, obviously, but don't ignore the patterns people are pointing out either.

I had nose surgery at fifteen, so there wasn't much room for deliberation. I didn't really consider which surgeon to use because my parents made the call. Clearly, they made the wrong choice, but that’s how it went. Ultimately, I needed the procedure just to breathe properly, though it should have been postponed until I was older. Unfortunately, I broke my nose around that time, so we decided to handle everything all at once. 🤷

I've been following this thread from page one, and let me tell you, there's one doctor I wouldn't touch with a ten-foot pole because of all the complaints, and another one I'd skip just because I hate his nose. I'd give pretty much any other doctor a fair shot during a consultation.

My advice? Read this whole thread from the very beginning. Don't take every single word as gospel, obviously, but definitely pay attention to the patterns people are pointing out.

Which doctor are you talking about—the one you'd 100% avoid? I've been reading this since the start, but honestly, after reading so much, my head is spinning. Is it just me, or does reading more just make you feel more insecure and confused?

I’m honestly at a loss here... what if my nose is just one of those complicated cases? Like, a real project? It might take some serious effort to actually get it fixed right...
But then again, I’m still leaning toward having an ENT handle it... I’ve heard nothing but glowing reviews about Glusac, so here we are...

I totally feel you on that. Glusac is at the top of my list too, but then you read all these perfect testimonials and suddenly someone pops up saying they had a terrible experience! It makes you spiral, thinking, "What if it goes south for me, too?" But honestly, isn't every doctor flawed in some way? No one is ever truly perfect. My situation isn't even as intense as yours—for me, it's purely about how it looks. I'm constantly second-guessing myself! I have a consultation scheduled for late April, so we'll see how things shake out then.

It honestly makes you spiral... like, what if it happens to me? What if things don't go right? But honestly, I guess that’s just how it goes with any doctor, right? Honestly, you just gotta keep your expectations grounded. I’ve been noticing this thing lately... it’s really the unrealistic expectations that end up crushing people, more than anything the doctors actually do...
