I don't post here all that often—but I definitely remember that "situation" you had with Nancy Perez74. Please tell me you aren't actually planning to go back to him for a revision?😕

Also, I wanted to check in with anyone who’s dealt with a deviated septum... how did you guys actually get diagnosed? Does an ENT just take a quick look? What tools do they even use?
As I get older, it feels like my nose is literally drooping—like there's a crack right down the middle making everything sag—and I can't breathe. Well, I can't breathe through my nose at all😢, I'm strictly mouth-breathing at this point. I need to get to a specialist ASAP.

Thanks for taking something I told you in private and dragging it out here on the public Forum. 🙄 That was way before my surgery, back when I was absolutely terrified about everything.

I’m not going to kill myself. I "don't care" because I have zero intention of going in for another (or the 4858345683486th) procedure. It is what it is...

Can anyone give me an idea of what the typical cost is for a rhinoplasty? Also, does anyone know which clinics or surgeons in Los Angeles you'd recommend for this kind of procedure?
thanks
Feel free to shoot me a DM if that's easier.

DM me if you want.

Look, nobody can give you a straight answer when you haven't even bothered to do the legwork yourself. Seriously, just scroll back through the last 20 pages and you’ll find answers to basically everything you're asking. I'm dropping in here like a total parachute jumper, but I've been reading this thread from the very beginning and I honestly don't get why people pop up with questions like this. Yeah, sure, someone else will do the reading for you. 🙄

wiredmaker24 said:Does anyone have a specific timeline on when it's safe to hang out in smoky places—like bars or clubs—after nose surgery? Thanks! 🙂

Hey—it’s been about a week and a half for me since my surgery, and honestly, if there’s any smoke anywhere, it’s usually just in my own apartment. People are constantly dropping by, and when we all light up at once, you could practically cut the smoke with a knife. (My cat is basically going to need an inhaler soon 😬).
Anyway, I wanted to tell you that I was a smoker before and I’m still smoking just as much as I used to... whether it's "allowed" or not, I don't know, but my nose is clear and I can breathe perfectly fine..
What I really want to know is how long it takes for the swelling to actually die down? Right now I’m shaped like a bumblebee. It’s been about a month—is it almost over? My nose looks great and I’m stoked, but it feels like the sides (that bone area under the eyes) and the tip are still pretty swollen..

Hey there! 😍

I had my consultation with Dr. Glumicic two days ago... and I am honestly so thrilled! He really seems to know his stuff, plus he’s just such a sweetheart *__*
He walked me through exactly how he’d handle the surgery and gave me a full list of all the tests I need to get done beforehand... The total cost is going to be around $2,200...
So, I’ve officially decided to go through with him... I’ve been reading reviews online too, and everyone says he’s an absolute pro who does the most beautiful noses 🙂 🙂 🙂
I’m planning to have the procedure right after I finish school, so basically before summer break hits 🙂

I CANNOT WAIT FOR THAT SIX-MONTH MARK! 🙂

p.s. If anyone else has had surgery with him, did you end up staying in their recovery rooms? What's the accommodations like? 🙂 Since I'm coming from Miami, I'll need somewhere to crash for a couple of nights 😁

jadedriver0 gave a pretty detailed breakdown of the surgery with Glumicic—the place, the stay, all of it. Just scroll through the thread.

Is anyone actually going to answer me? 😢

@ Megan Moore76: I’ve got a deviated septum too, and honestly, it makes life a total nightmare. After messing around with it for years, I finally saw an ENT who used an endoscope to confirm I have a "mechanical obstruction"... basically just a bad deviation. They can send you for a sinus CT if needed. Just go get checked out ASAP...

Look, maybe I can help you out a bit—even if I'm totally not an expert 😉
I didn't even realize I had a deviated septum myself! I’d just wake up every morning with my mouth feeling bone-dry and finally realized I wasn't breathing through my nose at all during the night—just mouth-breathing. Plus, my husband mentioned I was snoring, which was a total first for me... 😁
The sneezing, especially when moving from a warm room to the cold air, the constant stuffiness—usually one nostril would clog, then the other would take over, and so on. So, I went to see my doctor to get a referral for an ENT. As soon as she sat me down and checked my nose with that little light gadget (doesn't hurt, they just look inside), she told me I had a deviation. She sent me for X-rays and sinus scans, and once those images came back, the reality of the situation really hit home—you can see everything so much clearer on an X-ray, right? After that, I booked a cosmetic procedure with her immediately and was on the operating table within a month. 😉

hey, wait, why didn't you decide on Dr. Glusac? Glumicic does produce gorgeous results, but quite a few girls have reported breathing issues after their surgery...

I actually had no idea I had a deviated septum myself. I just kept waking up every morning with this incredibly dry mouth, eventually realizing I wasn't breathing through my nose at all during the night—just through my mouth. To make matters worse, my husband mentioned I'd started snoring, which was a totally new development for me. 😁
Sneezing fits were constant, especially when moving from a warm room into the cold, and my nose would constantly clog up. Usually, it would be one nostril, then the other, and so on. Eventually, I went to see my doctor to get a referral to an ENT. As soon as he sat me down and checked my nose with that little light device—it doesn't hurt, they just peer inside—he told me right away that I had a deviation. He sent me for some imaging of my nose and sinuses to get a better look; apparently, you can see the real extent of the issue much more clearly on X-rays or scans. Once we saw the results, I quickly scheduled a session with him for the cosmetic side of things, and within a month, I was already in surgery. 😉

Hey there—where did you have the procedure done, and how much extra did the cosmetic portion end up costing you?🙂

@Linda Bailey54/">@@Linda Bailey54, @stormydrifter11/">@@stormydrifter11, thanks 🙂

Look, it’s fine—the exam wasn't painful, which is really all that matters 😁 As for the breathing thing? Yeah, I’ve also got at least one nostril constantly blocked. It's not a huge deal when I'm just chilling at home—studying or watching TV—but the second I step outside to run or go for a walk, I'm stuck breathing through my mouth. It’s like my nose just can't pull in enough air. :/

Honestly, I think I'd be better off just telling this whole story to an ENT specialist 😁

Hey everyone! I’ve been lurking through these 218 pages for a few days now, and I finally decided to stop watching and actually join the Forum. I've been weighing the idea of getting a nose job for a while, but lately, my dissatisfaction has just been hitting a breaking point, so I'm finally ready to pull the trigger. I’m currently living abroad in Germany, and I’ve been doing a ton of digging over here. A top-tier specialist would set me back anywhere from $4,000 to $5,000, which—let’s be real—is just not in my budget right now. That’s why I started hunting for doctors back home via the internet and ended up finding this Forum. After everything I’ve read on here, I’m looking closely at Dr. Glusac and Dr. Bastasic! I managed to find Dr. Glusac’s website where he lists all his info and photos of his work, but when it comes to Dr. Bastasic, I can't find anything besides an address and a phone number. I’d love to see some before and after shots of his results. Can anyone tell me what keywords I should search for to find his site? Is there even any work of his available online??

Ps. if that gentleman (I think his username is Jasmine) who lives in Germany happens to be active over the next few days, could you please reach out? I have a few more things I’d love to pick your brain about regarding Dr. Glusac!!!!
Thanks in advance, best

You aren't finding anything because the guy doesn't even have a website. Honestly, he’s pretty old school about it—he doesn't really believe in showing off photos because he thinks every single patient's case is unique and can't be compared to someone else's. So, if you're looking for visual proof of his work, you're basically at the mercy of whatever photos some helpful people on this Forum might decide to share from their own experiences...

When it comes to aesthetics, I personally lean toward Dr. Glusac; I feel like his results look a bit more natural... 🙂

I’m thinking about heading out to Miami this summer... though I honestly can't decide if I'll actually be able to get in the water or not.

Oh, you'll swim, alright—just keep your nose in the shade. 🙂 Throw a visor on your head and just dive in! 😉

For everyone who’s been following my updates...

...it’s officially been 6 months since my surgery. I finally noticed that the "bulbous" tip is gone—the swelling has finally decided to pack its bags and leave. During my last check-up, Dr. Glusac mentioned that my nose will probably look even slimmer once all the residual bone swelling settles down, but honestly? I’m not seeing much change there yet. For now, I’m perfectly happy with how narrow it looks. As long as that weird "ball" shape is a thing of the past, I'm winning. 😍
