So, I was watching the Triumf operation on Sevin's nose yesterday.
Basically, Zambelli had to do a reconstruction because Glumičić—who’s more like an "actor" than anything else—totally messed her up by taking out way too much cartilage.
Honestly, I’m pretty blown away by how Zambelli handled it.
Seriously, props to him. If he actually put that kind of effort into regular people, I’d totally go to him for cosmetic work once I'm done dealing with my own septum issues, maybe next year.
Plus, even while I was still in the hospital, people who had worked with him before were singing his praises.
My take is that if someone actually knows how to do a reconstruction properly, they won't screw up the initial rhinoplasty. They won't overdo it with the cartilage removal, and I guess it’s always easier to shave things down later than to try and add volume back.
What do you guys think?
He just seems like a really meticulous guy to me.

I’ve been there myself... The whole idea behind using something like that is that you're out cold while they stay wide awake. The point is for them to hear everything and realize exactly what I'm doing to them—and, of course, to finally understand how much they've screwed up every single one of those noses! 😁

hehe... okay, okay... I can tell you're pissed. 😉 Honestly, I was half-asleep myself... I mean, I heard pretty much everything, but I just couldn't bring myself to care. I even heard them hammering away and when they started tearing things apart. 😁 😁

Zambelli was performing a nasal reconstruction for Severina after Glumičić—acting more like a butcher than a surgeon—completely ruined things by removing way too much cartilage.
I have to say, I am genuinely impressed with how Zambelli handled it.
Kudos to him. If he applied that level of dedication to regular patients, I’d actually consider going to him for cosmetic work once I deal with my own septum issues, maybe sometime next year.
On top of that, people who had worked alongside him back when he was still at the hospital were singing his praises.
In my opinion, if someone actually knows how to perform a proper reconstruction, they won't mess up the initial rhinoplasty either. At least they won't over-resect the cartilage; besides, it's always easier to take more away later than it is to try and add volume back. That's just my take.
What do you ladies think?
The guy seems incredibly meticulous.

I know a girl who had her nose done by Zambelli six months ago, and she couldn't be happier. She loves her new look, and she had nothing but great things to say about the doctor and the nursing staff.

Look, I’m not even upset about my own situation. Honestly, I couldn't be happier with how my nose turned out, my recovery process, or anything else regarding my procedure. If anything, I’m just feeling incredibly disillusioned with aesthetic surgeons because of what they do to other people. There are way too many women out there whose faces have been completely ruined by bad work. I actually met a woman today who had her nose absolutely wrecked by a surgeon three years ago, and now she's stuck having to pay for corrective surgery just to fix the mess. It’s honestly sickening. You go to a doctor specifically to enhance your features, only for them to make you look even worse! If anyone ever did that to me, I swear, I would lose it.

Was she half-asleep? Did she actually hear something? Good grief... For me, the absolute priority was making sure I didn't feel a single thing. I interrogated my anesthesiologist at least five different times just to confirm whether I’d be completely under. I kept badgering him, just to be absolutely certain.
I haven't heard a single word about that from anyone else... honestly, the sheer frustration of it all would probably put me in a coma.

The thing is, I was so completely out of it that I didn't even care, but I really did hear what they were saying and how they were handling things. I didn't feel any pain, though. My nurse mentioned they gave me the absolute bare minimum dose just to get me to sleep. I don't know if that depends on body weight... I guess it does. Anyway, it wasn't awkward or anything 🙂 I'm actually pretty happy with how it went

Look, I didn't undergo surgery, but I had to reset it myself... manually, without any anesthesia, while it was still swollen from the impact.
It hurts, there's blood spraying everywhere, and I was completely swollen for a month afterward. I ended up spending seven days in the hospital. They pack your nose with meters of gauze tampons, and you just deal with all that constant drainage. Thank God, it’s back to being straight now, just like before. Heh.

I’m just looking to slim down my nose a bit. It’s actually pretty straight and fine as it is, but my nostrils feel a little too wide, so I don't think I need any heavy-handed bone reshaping—just a light refinement to trim them down. 😁 However, after digging through everything I've read, I honestly have no clue which surgeon I should even be looking for at this point. 🤷

Hey everyone, hope you're all doing well... So, I've been thinking about this lately and was wondering if anyone knows roughly how much it costs to get a bump fixed on my nose. See, from one profile view, everything looks totally fine—really decent, actually—but then the moment I turn my head to the right... or even tilt it up a bit, there's this massive protrusion, oh boy... anyway, does insurance typically cover something like that? lol

Well, here I am again, still stuck with this "old nose"...😁

cosmicjackal10 said:Does anyone have experience with Dr. Klapan at the Klapan clinic in Chicago?
It’s a relatively new clinic, been open for about a year now.

Klapan😉, not Kaplan. I went to him for a consultation, and my impression is that he’s extremely serious—he doesn't like taking risks and isn't into making drastic changes to a nose. He’s definitely not a fan of those "extreme makeover" styles; he prefers more natural, straight profiles. He does a computer simulation that costs $500😲, and honestly, he left a good impression on me personally. However, he’s pretty pricey. What actually turned me off—and I was almost ready to book the surgery—was that he wouldn't give me a straight price. He made up some excuse about telling me next time, but what "next time"? I haven't bothered showing up since...🤷

redridge15 said:Ladies, this is just terrifying! You really need a massive amount of luck when it comes to cosmetic surgery these days. This thread mentions plenty of surgeons, but so far, I haven't seen a single glowing recommendation. It seems like if someone praises a surgeon, someone else immediately jumps in to criticize them (or worse). So what are we supposed to conclude? That there are no reliable surgeons out there? Every single one of them seems to have messed something up for someone at some point.

It's awful. Honestly, I’d want to line them all up and shoot them!!

Actually, no... I’d just line them all up and make them perform nose surgeries on me one by one, all under local anesthesia... 🤣 maybe then they'd finally learn how to do their jobs properly!

redridge15, wait, weren't you seeing Toncic? I got the feeling you were happy with him. I haven't heard anything bad about his work yet (unless I missed it😕)
I was thinking about going to him; apparently, he's incredibly meticulous and pays attention to every tiny detail. Plus, I really liked how he handled gii's nose.

As for my own nose, I feel like I'm writing this for the hundredth time—I just want to narrow it. It's too wide. I don't want someone to overdo it and squeeze it too much, just enough to make it look better...😍
Hopefully, I won't end up sounding like I'm talking through a blocked nose after the procedure, right?

You clearly missed part of what I said; I wasn't posting for my own sake, I was writing this because of all the women who were unhappy with their results.

As I mentioned earlier, I was already satisfied, and now, after a month and a half, I am even more thrilled—it honestly feels like I was born with this body. 😍😍😍

I wasn't there during your appointment with Toncic, so I don't know anything about him, good or bad.
The best thing you can do is go in for a consultation and talk to him directly... seriously. Just explain exactly what you're looking for, and he’ll tell you what's actually possible regarding how much he can reduce the size while still ensuring you can breathe comfortably and won't end up with that "breathing through your nose" sensation.
From what I can see, nobody on this forum has that issue, so you really shouldn't worry about that. That usually only becomes a problem after a second or third procedure.

Don't stress out, Mia! You're going to be happy with the result! 👍

redridge15 said:You clearly didn't read the whole thing. I wrote this for the girls who aren't happy with their results, not for myself.

I already mentioned up top that I’m happy with mine—actually, after a month and a half, I’m even happier. It’s like I was born with this look... 😍😍😍

Don't stress out, Mia! You're going to be fine! 👍

Yeah, I know. I saw your nose in the photo and it's seriously adorable, which is why I was confused by you saying: "God, I'd shoot them all!" . I thought maybe something had gone wrong after the fact, but okay, I get what you meant. Honestly, it's just a total lottery—some people end up super happy, while others end up way worse off than they started...🤷
Anyway, can you actually negotiate with the surgeon to get some kind of sedative? I don't want to be totally knocked out, but I definitely don't want to hear the sound of stitches being sewn... even if I am a little groggy...🙂

Of course, I wasn't about to just sit there and stay quiet about it either... what you're describing is enhanced local anesthesia. You just drift off and don't feel a thing. It’s honestly much better than general anesthesia because you aren't left feeling drugged out for hours afterward, dealing with all that nausea and vomiting. Just wait, it’s great—I fell asleep, had some vivid dreams, and woke up feeling like it was all over in an instant. In my opinion, most surgeons in the US are already using this kind of enhanced local block.

I'm seriously thinking about getting a nose job, but honestly, I'm a little nervous. Which doctor should I go to? I was leaning towards seeing Ostojić, but what do you guys think?🙄

So, I finally went in last Friday to see Dr. Siniša Glumičić for my nose job! And honestly? I am BEYOND thrilled!!!!! 😍 My nose looks absolutely amazing! I still have some bruising around my eyes and a little bit of swelling, I guess, but I’m seriously happy with how everything turned out! Plus, the entire staff was just wonderful—huge props to Dr. Siniša Glumičić!!

I totally get where you're coming from. Siniša Glumičić really knows his way around a nose job, and Toncic is solid too—he’s meticulous and a bit of a perfectionist about everything, which honestly works in favor of a plastic surgeon. Klapan is a serious ENT, though I don't personally know anyone who went to him for aesthetics; I've only heard stories about functional stuff... As for Ostojić, hmm... I actually dig his vibe. He seems pretty laid back, but those noses he does? A bit too "in your face" for my taste. I mean, maybe that look suits certain faces, but not mine...
I've definitely missed quite a few, but these are probably the most famous ones from the city. Still, damn... it seems like there's some kind of negative commentary following every single one of them...😲

I think I might be overthinking this way too much...🙄I really should have just walked away and gotten it over with ages ago... but instead, I’m just sitting here, overanalyzing everything and trying to make sense of it all... maybe...🤷

Honestly, the worst part is when you start overanalyzing everything. You’re just making it harder on yourself, I guess. I totally get where you're coming from! It’s probably best if you just go in for consultations with a few different specialists first, and then give yourself some real time to sit with it all. Whichever doctor makes you feel the most confident—that’s the one you should let handle the nose surgery. And maybe make sure every single doctor explains exactly what they plan to do to your nose, so you can really weigh whether it actually lines up with what you want.
