Morgan Morales59 said:Here’s the deal: my period is super short and light—not that I haven't mentioned I'm on birth control, so obviously that plays a part. But fine, whatever. My actual issue—despite how light it is—is that this "blood" seems to clot way too fast. It’s happened during my last four or five cycles, but never before. I can't even explain it properly... it’s like it doesn't have time to actually exit, so it clots up while still inside, and then it just hangs there. It's a mess. Then I have to struggle just to pull it out somehow. There's some blood on the pad, sure, but why isn't everything else flowing normally?! And most of it is dark—almost black—compared to how it used to be.
What is causing this?! It’s driving me crazy 😢

Does nobody have an answer?😢
I'm still dealing with this, and even though I stopped taking the birth control, I'm having the exact same problem.

Does anyone know how to jumpstart a period??? 🙏
My breasts and lower back have been aching for about ten days now—it's been over a month since my last one, and I’m supposed to start taking Rosanelle soon. I really don't want to be stuck waiting on this, especially since I have a trip coming up next week, and I’m terrified the travel stress is just going to push everything back even further... I've definitely been feeling all the PMS symptoms, and honestly, I hooked up with my boyfriend on Friday. It was pretty quick, so I don't think I'm pregnant, but every single time we do that, my cycle runs late by a few days and I just lose my mind.
I've heard some talk about how fresh parsley—maybe even as a tea—can help trigger bleeding? Or maybe fennel? 🤔

I heard somewhere that eating fresh parsley or drinking parsley tea might help trigger bleeding? Or maybe fennel tea? 🤔

Fennel and ginger tea works—trust me, I've been there!

Hey ladies... I was on the pill until last month (my period started March 19th, and now there's zero sign of it). Back in early March, I went in for my annual checkup and they found a clear spot on my left ovary and another one right next to it—they aren't tiny, either, about 2.5 cm and 3.7 cm. My doctor told me to stop the pill and just wait for my period to show up before doing another ultrasound. By my math, I should've had it by now, but nothing. I have been sexually active, though my boyfriend hasn't actually finished inside me once. I've had stomach aches for a week, and the breakouts I usually get right before my period are almost gone... I'm honestly lost. Please help. Is there anything I can do to jumpstart the bleeding?

Anyone know how to deal with awful PMS symptoms? Specifically, her breasts are killing her. A friend of mine—an athlete—is dealing with this since she hit 35. About two weeks before her period starts, she can’t even touch her chest without pain. Forget about working out; she can't even go for a run.
She's not interested in birth control, so does anyone know if there's an oil she could rub on to help ease the ache?
Or anything else?🤔

Hey everyone! My period was supposed to start two days ago, but nothing yet. I’m completely ruling out pregnancy because there's zero chance of that. My cycles aren't always perfectly predictable—they don't hit the exact date every single month—but it hasn't been this late before. Usually, it arrives right when I expect it. What's really throwing me off is that I’m not feeling any of my usual pre-period symptoms, which is super weird. Does anyone have an idea what might be going on?

There are a million different reasons this could be happening.🙂 It could be anything from hormonal imbalances or ovarian cysts to just catching a cold, weather changes, certain medications you might have taken, or even pregnancy... If this is stressing you out this much, honestly, just go see a gynecologist for a checkup.🤷

My cycles have always been super predictable—never missed a beat until now.😢

Usually, I’m done bleeding in three days, but this time it’s day five and it just won't quit.

Any idea what's going on?

I was reading somewhere that taking antibiotics can actually mess with your cycle and cause your period to be late. Has anyone here dealt with that before?

I had a quick question for you all... my period usually lasts about seven days, and for those final two days, it’s never actually heavy bleeding anymore, just sort of this brownish discharge... I was reading online that it might just be old blood leaving the system, so now I can't help but wonder if anyone else experiences the exact same thing?

Yeah, same here. It's totally normal for me too.

Oh, don't worry at all, that is completely normal 🙂

Has anyone here actually dealt with using eBay tablets to manage heavy periods?

Hey everyone—my period is already about 7 days late. Usually, when it actually shows up, it only lasts a few hours and there’s hardly any blood on my pad. It would normally happen every two days or so. This is the first time things have gone this way, and I guess I'm starting to get a little worried. I even tried drinking some parsley tea to see if it would "kickstart" things, but clearly, that isn't doing much... could this all be related to PCOS?

Yeah, it could totally be related to cysts, stress, or whatever else is going on...

Hey, my girlfriend and I had sex back on February 19th. She was supposed to get her period a week after that, but she’s already three days late. We didn't use protection, though we weren't in her fertile window and I didn't ejaculate inside her. I'm just wondering—is there any chance she could be pregnant?

Quick question, does that menstrual cup carry the same risk of toxic shock syndrome?🤔

I can't quite put my finger on it—supposedly the biggest selling point of the cup is that you don't have to worry about that specific risk. But then again, I’m reading posts from women saying they can leave it "in" for up to 12 hours, while the official instruction pages suggest emptying it roughly every four. Of course, it all depends on how heavy the flow is.

Alright, now I’ve got a question for this thread too.
My cycles used to be pretty predictable—usually around 31 days—but over the last few years, they’ve shortened down to 26. For a while, everything was clockwork, but lately, things have been off. It’ll be a day or a day and a half late, and I’ve been dealing with these pre-period symptoms for almost a week now. I take some ibuprofen to deal with the pain—which is honestly brutal for the first two or three days—and it helps a little, but then I just get this light spotting that lingers every single day. Anyone else dealt with this?
Not pregnant.
Anyone else dealt with something like this?
It’s a bit too early to start panicking and rushing to my doctor—besides, she’s usually slammed, though she might squeeze me in if I tell her it’s an emergency. Doesn't feel like an emergency just yet, though. If things don't improve in the next couple of days, I'll head in. Obviously.
